Stately Stuttgart is friendly and green. Surrounding the city are tree-lined hills, while in the center is the ‘Green U’, a series of parks and gardens that make great picnic spots.
The city’s focal point, Schlossplatz is a huge square with a tall column marking the entrance to the New Palace. Dating back to the 10th century, the city’s Old Palace is just opposite and its square is the site of the Stuttgart Christmas markets.
In the Bad Cannstatt area of Stuttgart are mineral spas, the 2nd largest in Europe behind Budapest. Just south of here is what the city is perhaps best known for – its car industry. Head to the architecturally-impressive Mercedes-Benz World for a spiraling walk through its history. On the opposite side of the city is the Porsche Museum, also worth a look.
Always something of a pioneer, the city erected the world’s first TV tower. Go to the top for amazing views. Other interesting Stuttgart attractions are the planetarium, and Stuttgart Zoo, housed in the Wilhelma Palace, built in Moorish style and once home to royals.
Before heading to Stuttgart Airport from your Booking.com hotel, apartment or B&B, make sure that you try some local Swabian food. The brezel (pretzel) originated here and makes a very tasty snack.
“Very nice rooms. We had a 2 bedroom one bathroom apartment and it was really lovely. Great comfy beds, big beautiful bathroom and nice view. Staff was very helpful with parking, bringing luggage upstairs etc.”
“Everyone on the staff was helpful and professional. Our Luggage was lost by the airline. So they provided chargers for our phones. SI Suites is also very close to the airport and Convention center. It's right across the street from a bunch of restaurants and a few minutes walk to pickup the train. Suites are very spacious and well maintained. Thanks again for another great stay!”
“Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was substantial and very nice. The location was perfect for shopping and proximity to the train station.”
“The room was clean and staff helped me out alot.”
“The staff was really nice and helpful, the hotel is in the very ciry centre”
“We have been staying at this hotel for a few years now and have found it to be great value for money. The location is great, tram stop right outside the front door. The lady on reception when we arrived was lovely as were all of the staff. The Christmas market in Stuttgart is one of the best in Germany. Will be back next year”
“Generously-sized bedroom, and ours with a large sitting area was very good, however the bath-room was tiny in comparison, and having the shower over the bath and the loo tucked in a corner somewhat inconvenient, but those are fairly small grumbles. The breakfasts were very impressive and the restaurant served excellent food in comfortable and attractive surroundings.”
“The quality and variety of breakfast is truly stunning and is more befitting of a 5* deluxe hotel. The choice is exceptional, everything is fresh and tasty, and attention to detail is visible throughout. A lovely breakfast experience. My only comment would be that some quiet music in the background would create additional ambience.”
“Good value for the dollar, we walked to the train station when leaving”
“-Single bed very big -Cover clean and can sleep well -Pillow can sleep well -Have Alarm (for people don't know time) -Heater can work well (can sleep in warm room) - Nearly the Stuttgart Airport can take taxi just 13 EURO -Free Wifi in reception room. -Walk to U6 for take train just 3-5 minute”
“modern, clean, comfy, quiet, close to where I needed to be (20mi walk / 10min bus ride to University, <10min walk to S-bahn station), shopping mall next door, few restaurants/pubs nearby”
“Everything. That is why we return here whenever we are in Stuttgart.”
“Free minibar, free wifi, free movies. I like the room decor as well. Its modern. I think its love at first sight. If u are in stuttgart plz try it”
“Easy to get around town from there, nice social atmosphere, some gluten- free food available, nice and reasonable dinner buffet available. Also, it's located in an absolutely beautiful spot-loved eating out on the balcony overlooking the city!”
“10 minutes walk to the Neues Schloss, 100 meters to the Koenigstrasse, wonderful location. And the receptionists are very friendly.”
“This hotel is located nearby the airport of Stuttgart. For people having to sleep nearby the airport while catching another plain next early next day is excellent. The comfort/cost rate is good.”
“Hotel Traube is a very nice hotel with a good location and easy to get to from the autobahn. It's in a picturesque village and we enjoyed walking around in the afternoon in the snow. The breakfast buffet was delicious! It's also very convenient to Stuttgart Airport.”
“Nice clean hotel. The location was in a quiet neighborhood. Fast easy access to wifi. Close to the metro and only two stops away from the Stuttgart city center.”
“The hotel is just right next to the s BahnCard which makes commuting to and fro city center easy and fuss free! Hotel receptionists are friendly and able to speak fluent English to provide recommendations on what to see and what to see in Stuttgart!”
“Location is perfect. Across the street from Stuttgart's main train station. The hotel is the perfect location to access all the UBahn and SBahn, regional trains and ICE and TGV trains and several buses. The city center is literally a 2-3 minute walk down Konigstrasse. Which is a pedestrian walkway. There are endless shopping options with stores and just as many bakeries, cafes and restaurants. Clean rooms considering the building and rooms are old.”
