Lovely and romantic little town, easily travelled from Munich by train. Not much to do once you visited the castle and a couple of museums, but then again, the charm of this place resides in the atmosphere of it's streets, cafés and terrasses of the old town. We spent only two full days there and every single person we met was extremely friendly and helpful. I would recommend, however, to brush up on your German language before you go as, aside from the staple restaurants and hotel, not too many people spoke English... Fabulous historic town; very friendly and helpful locals, who are very proud of their history. The fortress is a must; it only takes about 20 minutes to walk up to from the city centre. Great food, both in pubs and fine dining restaurants. Generous portions. Great cake shops. Great shopping.

Also reserve parking before you arrive. Room was super clean and comfortable and breakfast was standard. There is great coffee available free in the lobby and the staff is helpful. One lady has zero English and gets a little uptight about it. Otherwise would come back again and again. The room had an awesome outdoor terrace.
