Breakfast was excellent. Whole experience was perfect. Front desk gentleman was waiting on us that eve. Staff was low so was waiting to check us in to go home. He was back early the next morning! Parking was such a bonus.

The receptionist let us check in 2.5 hours before the official check in time, she rocks. The room was cosy with light blocking curtains and it was absolutely quiet with the windows closed.

The town is under construction including the main drag through town, churches and other buildings. So many cafés to sit and people watch. Not many restaurants to choose from. At least two supermarkets to purchase vegan, vegetarian and meat snacks & goodies to pack a picnic lunch or dinner.

The Huber Weisbrau Restaurant had good Bavarian food, waiters were a bit rude to our group. My group and I went to Holy Mass in the morning (walking distance from hotel and uphill) at St. Mary and St. Korbinian Cathedral which was absolutely breathtaking and the priest welcomed us warmly. Wish we had had more time to get a tour of this beautiful Cathedral and it’s history, as well as the city. As we walked to and from Holy Mass, we saw the beautiful paintings on some of the buildings. Sadly, we only had an overnight stay with our flights on our way home from a wonderful Međugorje Pilgrimage.

    Freising is a wonderful place.

Freising is a wonderful place. I could walk around and explore. I love the folklore of the city and spotting the bears posed around the city. Ask about the bears!!! We found 8 of them, but I am sure there are more. There is a great local pub, Augustiner Bierstueber, with a great selection of wine and beer.

Freising is a lovely place to visit.

Freising is a lovely place to visit. Very picturesque, plenty of history to keep you busy and entertained. It is very walkable with many good restaurants and shopping. Train station is conveniently located to city center. Walking around you will find something interesting around each corner. We enjoyed visiting the Freising Cathedral which has amazing architectural features. Plan for a longer visit as there is more to see than the main church interior. We found the service and food were the best at Weissbraeu Huber...we ate there two nights! The outdoor seating was perfect as well.

Close to airport , restaurant or bar not working so had to travel to the airport to get something to eat. Was handed a piece of paper with food places to call to get a delivery, but it’s hard when it’s in German . Breakfast was average.

Freising is close to the Munich airport and we generally stay there when flying from Munich. The town has some interesting areas and we have ventured out in the past to enjoy some of the shops. Most of the hotels are of the business type and generally fair value for that type of facility. There is a lot of industry in the area due to the location near the airport and traffic can be difficult especially in the morning.
