The location is great, just a couple of minutes from the bus stop and taxi rank and a 5 minute stroll to the beach. The apartment was beautifully clean and very comfortable with everything you need for a home from home stay

Playa Honda is a traditional town and doesn't have the hundreds of overseas tourists like the other resorts. The restaurants are frequented by locals and Spanish visitors however, the restaurants we visited we super friendly and welcomed non Spanish speaking visitors. The beaches are wide and go for miles. Do remember to take a hat and something to sit on because there are no umbrellas or sunbeds to hire. There are lots of shops, supermarkets and a great bus service to take you to different parts of the island. Getting around Playa Honda is easy when you take note of the road names, its on a grid system and one way for cars.

Love the absence of big hotels, the town is typically Spanish. No cheap & nasty gift shops. Beaches unspoiled by regimented rows of sun loungers. Clean streets & promenade that stretches for miles along the coast.

The accommodation worked very well and the location was perfect. We had lovely walks along the coast and used very good public transport to visit a number of towns. The shopping centre and supermarket were close at hand. A lovely place to stay and very good accommodation.

The Deiland shopping centre is large and ideal for all your shopping needs, including a good sized supermarket. Playa Honda itself is built on a grid system and doesn't seem to have a defined centre with a town square or anything similar. All the streets therefore look much the same, but it is an attractive town all the same. There are plenty of bars and restaurants, but they are spread about a bit.

A lovely home away from home. Walking distance to the beach.
A lovely home away from home. Walking distance to the beach. Lovely host. Very affordable and super clean.
Beautiful common lounging areas.
Lots of lovely touches, like suncream, toothpaste, shampoo in the bathroom, so useful as I had an early flight and I wanted to close my suitcase.
