Nice historical city, nice view point from the castle, but nothing more to see there, unfortunately the shops were closed btw 11-17o'clock, some restaurants were open to have a beverage. For short visit it is sufficient.

A beautiful town, with great hikes available in the area.
A beautiful town, with great hikes available in the area. There are also several beaches, although they require some hiking to get to, but are absolutely stunning. This is a lovely destination for out-of-season travel! We were here in March and it was perfect. We were warned that it becomes very very busy in summer.

Medieval village, well looked after, quiet, espectacular views from the castle, nice houses and stroll.
It depends of what you're looking for. I have heard is very busy during high season so, too small for a crowd. A car is needed to get there and to move around the area. However, parking facilities are scarce.

Highly recommended for food:
1. Cuban Bar Restaurant Havana in the town center for dinner - great food, impeccable service, really nice and interesting design with the indoor and terrace seating.
2. Cap Sa Sal Restaurant for lunch or snack/drinks (Sa Tuna, 5-10 mins drive from Begur town center) - perfect terrace overlooking the sea and great seafood.

Going to the beaches and walking from beach to beach was very enjoyable.
We used the summer bus to get to and from the beaches, only one Euro, but the last day of the bus was 17th September so after that we took a taxi, 19 euro each way.
It wasn't easy to find a table to eat in Begur when we Spoke English, luckily my partners French is very good, we appeared to get better service when he talked French.

Beautiful old town with a huge variety of shops, bars and restaurants. Easy to get to the beach by bus. It's not great for cars as very narrow streets and I'm not sure about parking. Would definitely recommend as a holiday destination. This area of Spain seems to have escaped high rise buildings - it has a Majorcan feel about it. Definitely worth a trip!
This is a large hotel complex with lovely views, kind service, and ample amenities such as tennis, ping pong, pool, badminton and direct access to a small cove. We didn't eat onsite except the breakfast buffet which was good and was served on the sunny sea-facing terrace. The water pressure in the shower and the bath products were great (Occitane). The hotel staff were kind enough to leave a gift for our anniversary celebration which was much appreciated. For dinner, we drove into Begur which features fantastic restaurants.
The hotel is full of character, a short walk to the centre of Begur, a quiet location with private, secure parking (fee payable). A very useful welcome given by Miguel, to describe the area with maps & staff helpful & friendly. Lovely food, both breakfast, served on the terrace with wonderful views & quality evening meal. We used the tourist bus for access to various beaches, as parking difficult & reliable, cheap service. We would visit this hotel again if in the area.
The hotel is very nice. The decor, grounds and pool were lovely. We had the room with a castle view which was special. The location is ideal to walk to the various coves dotted along the coastline. The staff is superb. The breakfast is generous, fresh and delicious. We ate at two nearby restaurants L'autèntic and La Pizzeta and recommend both without hesitation. Also, make a stop at the patisserie Pa de Pessic. The candied oranges are a wonderful and unique treat
Excellent value for a 3 star hotel - great location if you're fit and enjoy walking since you can walk both into town and to the beach. Alternatively you've got buses and car parks around too. Photos don't do this place justice - the view from the pool and having breakfast on the deck each morning with 'perfecto' coffee from Turia and the team was a highlight. The staff are very helpful with advice. We loved Begur and this hotel was great!
Fantastic views out to the ocean from the property - amazing sunsets and sunrises. Large balcony and deck area, including a barbeque, and a spacious kitchen/dining/lounge area. Very close to Sa Tuna - the best beach in the region, if not the whole of Spain. Great base for visiting other towns and beaches in the area if you have a car. Plenty of parking near the property. Large swimming pool. Excellent property management team.
This hotel is located in a lush green valley overlooking the sea with amazing views, while still being within walking distance to town. The pool terrace is gorgeous, the room was clean and bright, the breakfast was exceptional (the usual continental offerings plus eggs, fresh toast with tomato, fresh-squeezed juices, etc). The staff were also nothing short of delightful; very helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend!
everthing was amazing. The people, the views, the location. Small and cute hotel with only 5 rooms, where you can feel as you are part of thier family. The restaurant food it's amazing and the breakfast too.
You can find on the room, beach towels and beach chairs to help to make your experience even better.
Wonderful quiet hotel with a beautiful garden and in a top location between Begur (bustling little town with a range of very good restaurants) and sa Riera (a nice, family-friendly beach), which also offers a few restaurants, among them the very recomendable Ses Negres, which is located directly at the beach.
Lovely staff, beautiful decor, spacious room, comfortable big bed (but not v comfortable pillows) and good storage. Bathroom was well designed and good shower. Nice breakfast. Offered to store luggage after checkout. Very central in Begur. Lovely small boutique hotel.
Anca and Manuel were excellent hosts. The hotel exceeded our expectations. Breakfast was excellent and nothing was too much trouble - scambled eggs, omelettes etc. Location is brilliant, very close to Begur and the surrounding areas.
An exceptional hotel in a magical setting Probably best to avoid the super heat of mid summer if you can Breakfast a treat for all tastes and staff attentive and friendly If only for one meal eat in the hotel’s restaurant yummy
amazing location overlooking the beach. The manager was so hands on and did her best to make our stay as comfortable as she can. The breakfast in the morning was incredible. loved every minute of it.
We really loved the hotel, it was central and the personnel was so nice!!! We enjoyed every minute of our vacation, we will definitely come back to Begur. Thank you so much for this lovely stay!!!
The view is absolutely stunning. There are beautiful small beaches nearby with walking paths. Apartment was clean and nicely decorated. The communication with the owner was very smooth.
The hotel is very cozy, clean and with a location in the center of the old town of Begur, a great place for a weekend.Very helpful staff. I would recommend it 😊
