Everything. It is very well located, near bakeries, shops, an excellent market (Mercat De Lleo). 10/10 in walkability to many points of interest. The staff, they are so friendly and helpful. Very attentive to any needs we had. We stayed for 2 weeks and our room was comfortable, bright, always kept clean and stocked with all the essentials. What I loved about this BYPILLOW property is the common room, plenty of seating space and they had coffee/tea setup and a microwave. The microwave came in handy!

We walked from the train station to the hotel with our luggage. I recommend a taxi, because it is uphill. The location is great for seeing historic Girona. The room is beautifully appointed in an historic building, which more than made up for the absence of views from the windows. The breakfast was excellent with a very comfortable well designed and appointed dining room as well. It is a friendly location for cyclists with nice display case homage to the sport in the hotel lobby area. We came as tourists, not cyclists and we appreciated the great walks from the hotel in the heart of historic Girona.

A Splash of Color and History in the Heart of Catalonia
The colorful and charming gem that is Girona is on the banks of where the Ter, Onyar, Galligants and Güell rivers meet. Girona is protected by fortifications and features a remarkable medieval center along with several fine Romanesque and Gothic buildings.
The province houses the ancient Arab Baths, the Girona Cathedral, and the lovely Girona Art Museum. Due to its mountainous terrain, Girona is also a popular destination for cycling enthusiasts, and theater lovers can enjoy a performance at the Auditorium Jardins del Castell.
Girona has a lively nightlife and offers a wide variety of bars, restaurants and cafés serving anything from local Basque and Catalan delicacies to traditional tapas and an array of international cuisines.
Other popular landmarks to see are the 14th-century Sant Feliu, the historical fortifications, the 11th-century Monastery of San Daniel, and the characteristic Girona Bridge.
Girona Train station offers direct connections to bustling Barcelona and the picturesque town of Portbou. Booking.com offers a wide range of accommodation options and deals in Girona and around Catalonia.

Visited the Cathedral at Girona and Basilica of St Felix and saw the Creation Tapestry. Don't miss. Enjoyed more than Monserrat. Great city to wander the pedestrian streets of old town or walk the walls. Took bus direct from airport though train is faster with a change. Recommended side trip from Barcelona if you have a day to spare.

The historic centre of the City is full of character with lots of narrow cobbled streets. There are lots of steps on the tourist routes so a degree of fitness is required. However there are many bars and cafes to stop off for refreshments.
It is a good base for keen cyclists to test themselves on some classic climbs such as Rocacorba and Els Angels. Some nice routes out to the coast.

Lovely city with lots to see and do.
Three to four days is ample time to see all attractions.
Lovely restaurants and cake shops .
A very walkable city but not really appropriate for wheel chair users or people with reduced mobility due to the slopes and cobbled streets.

Lovely walk around the city wall, through the historic, Jewish part and over the bridges. We also loved the Arab baths.
We walked up to Castell Sant Miguel - a long climb up but worth it for the views towards the Pyrenees.
Al in all we had a great experience in Girona.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Historic in Girona Spain. The hotel is family-run and provides fantastic service. The room was huge and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. The owner was very kind and even gave us a lift to the Girona Stadium for a football game together with his son. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Girona.
Beautifully refurbished and designed hotel. The proprietor is an art historian, and the place has a wonderful sense of history and character to it. It is centrally located, just steps from the main sights in the old town, and a short walk to shops and restaurants. Warm hospitality and service.
The room was very comfortable and the reception staff were very friendly and helpful - for example, they were able to allow us into our room early. The position of the hotel was good. We were able to park easily and then it was an easy walk to the old town.
Beautiful boutique hotel in a great central, yet quiet, location. Spacious bedroom and bathroom. The pool area is really lovely and was great to have when the weather was 35°C all week. Staff were friendly. Lovely relaxed atmosphere in the hotel.
Best hotel in Girona! Friendly staff, perfect spot of parking garage. Many restaurants in the area with a tasty food, as always in Spain! Surely will come back
