Gran Hotel Rey Don Jaime offers views of the Mediterranean Sea from its hilltop location, surrounded by pine trees.

The view and pool were beautiful. The bar staff was courteous. The hotel staff was apologetic, offered us a drink in the restaurant, called for/paid for a taxi to the new hotel. The hotel where we ended up was right on the beach and was very comfortable and clean.

    Easy & SAFE walking distance to all restaurants, shops, beach, bars & some nightlife. It is slightly more expensive to eat on the beachfront, compared to some restaurants down the side roads. Plenty of choices. There was an AWESOME sushi buffet restaurant, called Yamasato, not too expensive & with a good variety of dishes besides sushi. Not all waitrons spoke English but there was 1. Downside of Castelldefels, easy access to Barcelona but an hour bus ride cost 5 EURO 1-way. It was cheaper to stay in this area compared to Barcelona

    I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this hotel.

    I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this hotel. When I arrived at 5:30 pm for check-in, the hotel was closed. I called the hotel and was met with aggression over the phone. When the staff finally arrived, I paid and was waiting for my room. During this time, another existing guest came in, and the staff member completely ignored me, leaving me hanging for several minutes while he chatted with the other guest. This lack of professionalism and respect was infuriating. To make matters worse, I was not given a receipt for my payment nor was I provided with the Wi-Fi password. I forgot to ask upon arrival, likely because I was intimidated by the staff's rude and unprofessional behavior. Later, I sent a WhatsApp message requesting the Wi-Fi password, but I never received a response until after I had already left the hotel the next morning. When I informed the hotel that I would write a review about their non-existent services and unprofessional conduct, they canceled my reservation without any valid reason, preventing me from leaving a review on their booking platform. Additionally, the room was nothing like the pictures on the booking site. It was a complete misrepresentation and added to the overall disappointment of my stay. Overall, my stay was ruined by the staff's aggressive, disrespectful, and unprofessional behavior, as well as the misleading room photos. I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel.

    Such a beautiful place!

    Such a beautiful place! If I could’ve stayed longer I would have. The beaches are beautiful. The restaurants are top quality. The castle is also worth a visit! Friendly people. Also close to a bus stop (buses had tap on card system) so if we wanted to travel this way we could over taxis!

    we like to travel with public transportation and...

    we like to travel with public transportation and Castelldefels is very well connectec to Barcenlona with Renfe trains - once you find out which ones to use it is really comfortable and fast. We mostly stayed near the beachside, so we can only tell about places there. And it is nice and quite, great for having long walk along the beach.

    The location may not be for those looking for a tourist area...

    The location may not be for those looking for a tourist area as this is a residential Spanish area away from the beach. The beach and town are 30 mins or so apart, but there is a regular bus service running each day. The town area is near the train station, consisting of one area in particular offering cafes and areas to sit out and relax in the day, or enjoy the Spanish family hustle and bustle after 9:30pm. There is a shopping mall 10mins away from the centre on the way to the beach and water park.

    The long sandy beach is superb and the water is warm! This little town has a lot to offer/ good small bars and some great places to eat . Easy train travel to Barcelona although this time we stayed in the town. We were welcomed as tourists and we rate v highly the Gran Hotel Rey Don Jamie. A little out of town but secluded and perfect for us. Excellent breakfast . Rooms clean . Style is dated but did not bother us at all as we loved its rustic charm. The views from the hotel are amazing

    Nice little quiet hotel, price was good, staff was very friendly, everyone even the cleaning lady spoke very good english. The room was maybe a bit worn here and there, but nothing too bad, beds were very comfortable. Wifi was very good. It had everything we needed for a 3 night stay. Close to the beach and about a kilometre from either Castelldefels or Platja de Castelldefels train station, we walked, but you can take a bus also. So very good connection to Barcelona.

    The hotel is at perfect location, near to the coast and not so far from Barcelona center. Public transport, bus lines are good connected to the Barcelona center and Airport. Castelldefels is very calm, clean municipality ... excellent for calm holiday and wellbeing. Hotel staff is at disposal 24h and helpful for every request you might have. The rooms are clean with the balcony and view to the sea. I would definitely recommend this hotel for relax, calm stay.

    Modern room , spacious new shower with 2 shower heads , fridge , microwave , electric kettle . Comfortable changeable lighting , in front of sea beach , nice residential area around , easy access to the highway , 15 min drive to downtoown Barcelona . Parking is free inside the hotel parking lot on the right side .First day we came back from Barcelona at 22:30 and it was 2 available parking spots,so no need to pay for guaranted parking 14Eur.

    We stayed at Flora Parc for one week. It is located close to the bus station (E95 for a 50 minutes ride to Plaça Catalunya in Barcelona, L99 for Airport and L99 to 15 min ride to the Castelldefels beach), close to various supermarkets (10 min walk). The room was very clean and also cleaned each day. The breakfast was also great. Thanks again to all the staff that make possible our amazing stay at Flora Parc!

    Great location; around lot of small restaurants; 5 min walk to the train station (than ~15-20min to reach Barcelona city center). Small shops around, 10 min walk to the supermarket. Fast transfer to/from airport. Wide and long beach ~20min walk from the hotel. Fast and concrete communication with online reception (WhatsApp). Small fully equipped kitchen in the room.

    Close to the local shop. 10 minutes walk to the beach. 15 minutes walk to the city centre. Train station that allows you to get to the centre of Barcelona in 30 minutes. In the hotel you can hire a bike for free. The reception staff is super friendly and helpful. We requested a few things for a baby and personnel provided it very quickly.

    The hotel is modern, clean, well located in a residential quiet area but at walking distance to the beach and to many restaurants and bars. I decided to spend the night at this hotel because it is close to the airport and prices in Castelldefels are definitely lower than in Barcelona.

    Great location on beach. Can get the train from El Prat airport or Barcelona to Castelldefels for a couple of euros. Hotel is 3k from train station and can get taxi for approx €10. The beach and promenade are spacious and uncrowded. I would come back to this to hotel again.

    The hotel is in a great location on the beach, our room was very clean and it was huge. The bathroom had an amazing shower and breakfast was amazing. Staff are very friendly and the pool area is a bonus if you want some respite from the beach.

    This is a very good simple hotel at the beach. During my stay, everything was clean, the AC/Heating worked well, the manager was very friendly. The WIFI worked well. The hotel was quiet and I slept very well. Highly recommended.

    Apartment is on the beach, with a big terrace. It is close to a supermarket, and there are a lot of restaurants near by. It is ideally placed, only 20 km from Barcelona, so one can have fun on the beach and fun in the city.

    Location was good. No hot water. Apartment is operated by key, rather than card. No dishwasher. Some of staff doesn’t speak English. TV remote didn’t work . Hotel has cigarette odor and one can assume smoking is allowed.
