We loved the community feeling at the hostel. There is a very well equipped kitchen and while cooking, you meet many people there. Also, our host was very nice and helpful and suggested many activities in the area.
Boasting beautiful original décor, this charming hotel is centrally set in the oldest villa in the town of Orotava, surrounded by mountain scenery.

The property was great. Very welcoming staff. The restaurant was busy when we arrived, but they still reserved a table for us.
The room was stunning. High ceilings, antique furnishings, and extremely comfortable bedding and mattress.

Loved this place. Great character, lovely historical building with access to a spacious roof terrace that provides a perfect hang out space if needed. It is central, right beside a couple of decent cafes, and all very convenient to locate. The owners provided some good personal touches, and were attentive and prompt whenever I made enquiries.

What a beautiful place. We went during Corpus Christi week and experienced live music, festivals and all sorts of unexpected fun. Architecture was amazing, locals friendly. Roads very narrow so if you’re driving you need to be pretty confident. Good bus connections - we went to la Laguna for a day - easy to get bus but unless you want a sore bum go for the express!

This place was large enough for two couples, with modern furniture, well equipped kitchen, clean towels and bed linen. Car park lot nearby, easy to find if one follow the instructions given. Fantastic view over El Teide peak.

A historical town with character.
A historical town with character. Has a lot of good architecture and period villas. Walking around the city gets you back to 18th, 19th century.
If you appreciate historic towns this one should not be skipped.
Bonus: La Orotava is one of the 3 access points to mount Teide so if you plan to go up towards the mountain it's a good place to set a base at.

This little city is just a little gem: beautiful overall, colonial style architecture, well preserved, magnificent gardens, far from the noisy mass tourism, elegant, full of flowers, amazing vue. I've visited the city many times last year and with Puerto de la Cruz, I think is by far the nicest area on the island. I left in the early morning and I could smell the flowers fragances everywhere on the air.

Lovely old town from which to venture out across the north and northeast/northwest of the island. Visited in November and the climate was lovely for eating out in the various plazas and gardens of the town at night. Everything is on a slope so not ideal for the infirm but we felt safe and had no issues navigating about the city centre.

It was the perfect stop on the way to Teide national park.
It was the perfect stop on the way to Teide national park. Nice historic town - old grand houses / a good museum / a couple of gardens of interest, good views of the cost, a few good restaurants and a fun bar at the town centre / main square .. We ate at Dabeke a bit out of town but very good food and at Sabot Canario which was OK (limited menu but recommend the rabbit stew )... Gastro Lercaro looked very good but unfortunately it wasn't open for dinner while we were there ....
Perfectly located in La Orotava, we had a superior room with view on the sea. The room was large, with an incredible bathroom, and totally calm. The big high light was the temperature even during very warm days : naturally perfectly chilled due to the subtile wind (due to the heights). The house itself is a monument of history and is worth a look anytime. Cleaning is 100% professional (did appreciate a lot!). There is a small swimming pool. Welcoming and flexible host.
We loved the little city of La Orotava and the Ocean Blue House is in a perfect position, restaurants and the city center is in walking distance. We enjoyed the possibility to sit outside on the terrace.
Shiny new apartment, close to the city centre in beautiful La Orotava, with great views towards Teide and the valley, and all mod cons. It also had one of the best beds we’ve ever had in a rental.
Everything! The localisation was perfect in the center of La Orotava, our host was helpful, the hotel is charming and nicely decorated. We had a room with a balcony and that was a real asset.
Very nice and comfortable accommodation in a quiet neighborhood, beautiful apartment with easy parking and helpful and responsive owners. Highly recommended to explore La Orotava.
