The room was recently refurbished (you could still smell the new paint!) and a good value, and while the property is older, it is well maintained and at a perfect location if you are traveling by train.

Staff at Hotel Goya is friendly, efficient, accommodating and professional. The location is fabulous. Easy walking to all the sites, shopping and eating. My room was quite comfortable. A balcony with a lovely view of the city neighborhood, a full bathroom, a comfortable bed, large closet, good lighting, tv and a desk. As a solo traveler, I felt very safe.

It was a Sunday and a holiday so everywhere was closed. We walked to the castle and enjoyed the sumptuous views then had a nice cold beer in the Barri. We ate in the Parador. Good original and local menu.

Very local and rural city.
Very local and rural city. There are very good restaurants around Ricardo Vinyes square that are worth a visit. Also La Seu Vella is very beautiful and a walk around the old quarter is worth it (Carre Major and surroundings). It might not be the liveliest city of wall during day but it is worth to stop and spend a weekend there. Plenty of bars and pubs for nightlife. The river site is also worth visiting.
If you like to hike, walk, bike or climb, it is the perfect city for you as there are a lot of different routes very nearby the city. I highly recommend it if you look for a super local experience.

Lleida is a university town with history.
Lleida is a university town with history. I stayed there for a meeting at the university, but we got an opportunity to see a bit of the city and the surrounding landscape during an excursion. We visited the cathedral, the artists' vineyard (Mas Blanch i Jove) and the Monastery of Santa Maria de Poblet (the latter two are about 50 km away form the city, so you need a car). All was very much worthwhile. Eating out in Lleida was a joy. There was great food and people serve with a smile. I had a great time. Recommended. Lleida has a fast train connection from Barcelona Sants station. You go from the airport to Sants, then get on the high speed train ( 1 h.). Book through renfe.

We needed a stop in our drive from west Spain, so Lleida was a an OK choice, Apart from the fortress at the hill (which has a nice view to the landscape around), there is not much of interest in this town. A blit run down, with some rough neighborhoods.

Mixed feelings, some areas near the parador are run down.
Mixed feelings, some areas near the parador are run down. There is a fantastic old cathedral and castle on a hilltop in the middle of the city. There is a nice restaurant area several blocks away from the parador. The 1.3 km long shopping street has some major brands, a few cafes.
I do bikepacking and the room allowed me to prepare my bike and luggage which would have been much more difficult in a small hotel room. I was given the flat on the 1st floor and everybody was quite friendly. Yes the appartment floor could use a wipe, but overall, my stay was very convenient. They even agreed to keep some of my luggage until my return in a few weeks free of charge and handed me over the exterior door key so I wouldn't have to wait in the street.
The room was spacious and flooded with natural light, modern design included all the essentials, making the stay extremely convenient. Having a fridge in the room was a great addition, and the availability of hot beverages downstairs added to the comfort. The proximity of Mercadona was convenient for any additional needs. This hotel stands out with its cleanliness and brighter ambiance, setting it apart from many others in a refreshing way.
Montserrat is a lovely hostess, very personable and attentive, and just a good person overall. I was happy to contribute to her retirement income by renting one of only two bedrooms in a great house. I had my own large bathroom, in a large bedroom with air conditioning (a must in Lleida). The whole building is renovated, both modern and comfortable, and very clean. She also made me the best breakfast sandwich ever!
It's a very nice and cozy hotel with friendly and careful stuff. Our room was big and extremely clean.
The breakfast was amazing! In traditional Spanish style with lot of tapas and fresh fruits.
They also have a parking (for money, but as I understood it's a common thing in Spain), so we don't have to spend a lot of time to search a parking spot.
This is a no frills comfortable city hotel. The needs of travelers have been taken note of. Breakfast is early and plentiful. There is a restaurant in the evening in case someone is disinclined to go in search of one elsewhere. Two chairs (a rarity) are provided in a double room. The staff at the reception desk are marvelously helpful.
This is an excellent property with a superb and helpful host. A very clean and modern house, and by far the best breakfast we had in our five week holiday around northern Spain, Corsica and Sardinia. We stayed towards the beginning of our trip, and it was so good, in fact, that we stayed again on our return journey home.
The lady at reception upon check in was extremely nice, check in was quick & easy.
Our room, 117 was very comfortable, with a huge bed and very good air con.
There was also plenty of parking, both at the front & rear of the hotel.
Overall a very nice stay at a good price.
Hotel Goya is located at the city centre, 5 minutes to University of Lleida. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. My room included a small terrace. There were a couple of bedside lamps in case one wanted to read. Very lovely stay.
The staff are amazing. A rare level of attentiveness and personal detail for Spain.
They also gave us an upgrade to a two bedroom suite with large terrace and views of the cathedral for €20 !
Small hotel with a very friendly and accommodating staff. Clean, comfortable room with A/C and WiFi. Great location for walking the city. Available parking nearby for rental cars.
The classic Ibis service, a very functional hotel, professional and friendly staff. Very well located, perfect for those "on-the-road" travelling through Catalunha!
The breakfast is awesome. Location close enough to get everything you need. Staff is very friendly and professional.
I'm very excited for staying in this hotel.
