A beautiful town, with great hikes available in the area. There are also several beaches, although they require some hiking to get to, but are absolutely stunning. Medieval village, well looked after, quiet, espectacular views from the castle, nice houses and stroll. It depends of what you're looking for. I have heard is very busy during high season so, too small for a crowd. A car is needed to get there and to move around the area. Cozy and cute with plenty of dining options and shopping. Great views of the Mediterranean. Highly recommended for food: 1. Cuban Bar Restaurant Havana in the town center for dinner - great food, impeccable service, really nice and interesting design with the indoor and terrace seating. 2. Cap Sa Sal Restaurant for lunch or snack/drinks (Sa Tuna, 5-10 mins drive from Begur town center) - perfect terrace overlooking the sea and great seafood. Going to the beaches and walking from beach to beach was...
Going to the beaches and walking from beach to beach was very enjoyable. We used the summer bus to get to and from the beaches, only one Euro, but the last day of the bus was 17th September so after that we took a taxi, 19 euro each way. It wasn't easy to find a table to eat in Begur when we Spoke English, luckily my partners French is very good, we appeared to get better service when he talked French.nicolaCanada - 10Scored 10

Beautiful old town with a huge variety of shops, bars and restaurants. Easy to get to the beach by bus. It's not great for cars as very narrow streets and I'm not sure about parking. Would definitely recommend as a holiday destination. This area of Spain seems to have escaped high rise buildings - it has a Majorcan feel about it. Definitely worth a trip!

We didn't eat onsite except the breakfast buffet which was good and was served on the sunny sea-facing terrace. The water pressure in the shower and the bath products were great (Occitane). The hotel staff were kind enough to leave a gift for our anniversary celebration which was much appreciated. For dinner, we drove into Begur which features fantastic restaurants.

They have carefully thought about every single detail in the room and the hotel/facilities. The breakfast was divine: everything is source locally and there was great variety without having too many options. I also loved the host, Carla, and the staff working there who had a plethora of recommendations in the area which in my opinion were better than the recommendations online. All in all, I would def recommend this place and will def be back again.

You can also take the car to a bigger beach right near by. Nice food in the restaurant wherefrom you also have amazing views. Very friendly staff - they really deserve mentioning! :) Very kid friendly hotel too.

The staff were brilliant and very helpful, even to the extent of helping us to park our car in the nearby underground carpark, where they retain their own spaces. Breakfast was off a menu, and was freshly prepared for us. We plan to book there again for a longer visit (we only stayed one night on our journey to France from southern Spain.
