This house provides everything you need to make your stay on the island La Palma comfortable: plenty of space, an awesome view to the atlantic ocean with magnificent sunsets, a nice wood stove that provides cozy warmth all over the house once you understood how to operate it, a nice bathroom with hot showers as well as a well equipped kitchen and a washing machine. And quietness, presupposed that your neighbours (the house shares a wall with the neighbouring house) are not all to loud. And if you really miss something, you can be sure that the very friendly landlady will help.

We liked everything: location, Lazar the dog and the two cats and, of course, Idalia the host who made our staying unforgettable
Great area stunning views . Easy to use the local bus serves to get around.
Coastal walks are just amazing not like the walks in the UK. Supper market are stoked very well. It difficult to find wood for the fire from local store. You need to ask around . Some of the site were closed and the tourist attraction were closed as well. The tourist app la Palam was very helpful and the tourist information centres.

I had little idea of what to expect before going to Garafia but we found a delightful corner of La Palma featuring typical houses dotted around the countryside. It was nice to see that many of them have either been restored or are getting restored. I liked the various traditional designs of the windows and the colourful paintwork.
We found everyone to be very helpful, especially in the tourist information centre in Llano Negro and el Sr Lalo at the Museo de Gofio, el molino in Las Tricias. They are both worth a visit.
If you are beach lovers, then this place is not for you, as the topography of this corner of the island has high cliffs all around the coast. There are a few steep paths down to the water but not for the faint hearted.
There are many walks indicated clearly around the area but as we went by car most of the time, we didn’t use them.
The north of La Palma is characterised by steep sided mountains, covered in vegetation, deep ravines (barrancos) and endless twisty roads. Don’t expect to go anywhere in a hurry!

It really feels like the backside of the island, far from the city of Los Llanos. At first the hairpin driving took a toll on me, and I avoided driving unless I had to, but as I got used to the roads and the distances it started to feel much more accessible. It's a really nice place. Feels a bit like the end of the world with fantastic scenery.
The house is really charming and cozy with everything you need for spend a few days in the most quiet part of La Palma. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking. The mattress is comfy and there are many towels. The bathroom spacious and the washing machine is a plus. The possibility to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner in the little terrace with seaview is amazing. The location is really good for exploring Garafia and the north of the island, the best area for looking at the stars.
A very beautifully maintained house with all the comforts (including heating and fireplace), surrounded by a lush and fragrant garden, totally quiet and with amazing views down to the sea. The hosts welcomed us with fruit, wine, cake and homemade jam. This is a great place to be if you like to be by yourself and really close to some amazing hikes (La Zarza, Garafía, Las Tricias, Roque de Los Muchachos). The trail to Puntagorda passes right in front of the house.
