The hotel is well located, one can travel on a short tram trip into the centre of the old city. Very easy to do so. The hotel has an excellent restaurant showcasing regional food. Breakfast is also excellent and good value. Parking was ample and free and one can access the freeway exits out of Strasbourg very easily.

FAQs about hotels in Strasbourg

Crossroads of European Culture

Situated on the banks of the River Rhine, Strasbourg is the capital of the Alsace region of France. The medieval city center, Grande Île, is a UNESCO World Heritage site and houses the glorious sandstone Strasbourg Cathedral and picturesque timber-framed buildings.

The Cathedral of Our Lady is the tallest medieval building in Europe and one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture. It features a remarkable façade, one of the largest astronomical clocks in the world, stunning stained glass windows, and a terrace with panoramic city views.

Enjoy a pleasant walk in the medieval streets of the old town, or visit the charming Petite-France district. Here are some of the range of Strasbourg restaurants serving Alsatian specialties like beef and pork stew with potatoes and carrots, paired with a local beer or regional white wine.

At the crossroads of European culture, cosmopolitan Strasbourg is home to numerous international organizations including the European Parliament, as well as one of the oldest European universities.

Strasbourg International Airport is easily reached from other international airports, so book your hotel, apartment or bed and breakfast through Booking.com and experience an unforgettable stay.

What Guests Said About Strasbourg:

Strasbourg is an amazing blend of German and French culture.

Strasbourg is an amazing blend of German and French culture. Petit France is charming and the cathedral with its astronomical clock is very impressive. We had breakfast at Origin, whose vegan croissants were nearly indistinguishable from butter ones. Highly recommend the Le Petit Bouillon Pharamond for good food at very reasonable prices, especially their desserts. Strasbourg is very walkable and there is a convenient tram that goes through the city. A hidden gem for us was the Municipal Baths, where you can explore Roman Baths, saunas, a salt room, cold plunges, and a heated outdoor pool for under $30 pp.

Once you get into the old town, it's really pretty.

Once you get into the old town, it's really pretty. There are loads of great photo opportunities, things to see, shops to visit, and the cathedral is huge. The restaurants can get pretty packed, so research the good ones beforehand and make a reservation. If you do rock up to a restaurant, prices and menu options, for traditional French cuisine, are pretty similar. If boring burger options are your things, many restaurants offer those sorts of choices. Service can be a bit slow and sometimes forgetful, but as long as you remain polite and smile, if there is a problem, the staff are normally great. Try the local beers too. Loads of ice cream sellers too, but recommend you get from a shop and not a street merchant, as there are more to choose from in a shop. Be careful too when walking. Lots of people riding really fast scooters, zooming in an out and you can easily be hit. Just be aware. Avoid the beggars too and make sure you keep your purse/wallet/bag/phone with you at all times. Overall though, a nice place to visit.

The Strasbourg was a delightful surprise for us.

The Strasbourg was a delightful surprise for us. It’s a charming, clean, and beautiful city with stunning architecture. The city is lively, with many nice bars and restaurants. There’s a lot to see in the city and its surroundings, including beautiful parks and museums. You can easily explore the city by bike, as there are separate bike lanes. You could easily spend a few days here and still not be able to see everything.

Strasbourg is a beautifully city with fantastic architecture and history. Stay in La Petite, park the car (if you have one) and walk everywhere. Recommend the canal cruise if you have time and definitely try the local speciality 'tarte flambe'.

A very charming and walkable city, so much fascinating history and lovely Alsace food. We bought an audioguide to help us explore which was fun and helpful. The cathedral is remarkable, the Batorama boat trip was great, we loved the food, beer and wine, and were delighted to find the Hospice de Strasbourg cellars tucked away beyond the crowds. It was fun to watch the locks and bridges at work in Petit France, and to see the heart of the European government. Recommend for a 2 night stay.

Strasbourg is a beautiful historic town with one of the most gorgeous Gothic architecture cathedrals in Europe and some other churches that are equally magnificent and important historically, beautiful fachwerk houses along the canals, and cobblestone streets lined with cozy cafes and traditional shops. A beautiful view of town once you climb up one of the cathedral's towers.

Our stay at Appart'City Confort Strasbourg Centre had its highlights, particularly the helpful staff who recommended a nearby restaurant where we received a generous discount. The room was spacious and felt more like a small apartment, complete with a kitchen, which was a nice touch. The hotel’s location next to the tram station made commuting easy, and it was conveniently close to the Modern Art Museum, Petite France, and the old town of Strasbourg.

The location is good, near to the train station (3-4 min walk) and near to "La Petite France"/Grande-Île de Strasbourg (8-10 min walk). The room did not have a great view but at least it was quiet, and the bathroom was big and modern. The staff was pleasant and we were able to leave our luggage after check out in a special room. Overall the hotel is ok for the price.
