The breakfast was lovely, plenty of bread and coffee, a few too many sweet choices for us. It is a great location for visiting the Pont du Gard. Lots of information about the area.

The facilities are lovely. Private, secluded, well furnished and well-provided. (A pool! Patios!) There was a small hiccup related to the breakfast -- somehow, the fact that we'd paid for breakfast got lost in the shuffle, so we didn't have breakfast at the B&B. However, once the mistake was understood, the hosts refunded us in full.
We would *definitely* stay here again, but would verify everything more than once in advance. It's a wonderful place, especially for a larger group because you can probably have the entire property to yourself. (We were just 5, but still had the place to ourselves.)
It's roughly a 2 km walk to a couple of very good restaurants up the hill in Castillon-du-Gard. Take a flashlight or two for your walk back down in the dark.

Castillon-du-Gard is small village itself up the hill from Remoulins with a market every Tuesday selling fresh olives, tapanade, wine, cheese, paella, vegetables and more. There's a butcher, boulangerie, a clothes shop and a two to three restaurants. It does have tourists but is a lovely French village that hasn't been spoilt by tourism.
Walk down from Castillon-du-Gard toward Remoulins and there's kayaks and bikes for hire.
We didn't hire a car but if you want to get around the area, then it would be advisable to do so. Vers du Pont is worth a visit where we caught some live blues music.

Bot the rooms, which were in separate parts of the hotel, were very comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was excellent and the lunches and dinner were also very good. The pool was lovely with great views, although the mistral chose to blow, out of season, whilst we were there which made things rather windy and cool at night as Castillon du Gard is on the top of a hill and exposed. So jumpers and jackets were unexpectedly needed. The staff were helpful and stored some wine I had brought in a cool room during our stay.
A hotel located in a medieval village with absolutely gorgeus views over the Provencal valley. Two beautiful towel swans greeted us in our room because of our honeymoon - special thanks for the staff! You could truly feel the Provence vibes at all of the public areas such us leafy patios, sunny breakfast area and serene swimming pool area. The location was also perfect for exploring Pont du Gard. Will definitely recommend this place.
What a stunning conversion of a historical site to a hotel. Staff were very friendly and eager to help. Breakfast in the wonderful dining room and outside terrace overlooking the pool was great. The Spa looked great. We should have booked treatments ahead of our arrival as it was quite booked up for the weekend.
The hotel is very beautiful and set in a picturesque village in a quiet location, perfect for relaxing and recharging.
Had some lovely meals at Joio restaurant in the village. Had outstanding meals at the main restaurant in the hotel with amazing local produce.
All staff were very helpful and attentive.
Felt closer to a 5* hotel :)
Lovely pool area and how the hotel seamlessly integrates with an old village.
Hotel also had pool drinks service, pool table and table football and a lovely courtyard.
Room was spacious and good AC
Breakfast was great both in choice and quality
Charming hotel and location (at the heart of a small and authentic village). The room is very comfy and the surrounding very quiet. Food (dinner) is good. Service at the reception was very friendly.
Prices are fairly high especially for the food by the pool.
it’s a gorgeous property , very stylish and excellent food. Castilian is a low key village with little else other than the hotel. it was a relaxing stay. close proximity to the market town of uzes
