Genuinely a little gem of a place. It was actually right next to the sea, and our sea room view not only had a wonderful view of the waves, but was also surprisingly large with plenty of space. Easy, free parking, a lovely small sauna available and a steam room. And the seats outside right in front of the sea were great. The staff were very kind, and went out of their way to make sure we had a nice time, even opening up the bar earlier to make a latte for us (which is so hard to come by in France, it was truly appreciated). Would also really recommend trying the restaurant for dinner, every dish was lovely, and despite the reviews we actually didn't have a long wait at all for the dishes.

From mixed past experiences we tend to avoid chain hotels, but this one was good. Very pleasant and helpful staff, good facilities, and good food in the restaurant. On our last morning, earlier risers had almost cleared out the breakfast items which had not been replenished, empty jam pots etc. I mentioned this when checking out, and the receptionist insisted on removing that charge from our bill. Not a big thing, but proof that customers matter to them, something that moved Best Western higher in our personal rankings,

We had a lovely spacious room on the first floor, though it was not one of the big rooms it still had plenty of space. The mill has been beautifully restored and the public areas have quirky antiques. There is parking and some garden areas where you can sit and watch the tide come in and out or have a drink. You can walk to the village along the water and back on the road. The breakfast was very interesting with local and home made products but mostly carbohydrate. It was nice to have a kettle offered in the room. The owners were welcoming and helpful.
