Proprietor did not provide key until 2330. He did not answer my call at 1930, and did not call back. I had not heard back from him by 2000. It was getting dark so I rented another room. He sent a text at 2130, after nightfall and after I had rented another room. I called again at 2300 and was told that there was a key in a lockbox. Beautiful old city with a wonderful history. Spectacular cathedral, well preserved old architecture. Exceptional restaurants and bars with great service, can't recommend Le Vent des Anges highly enough. I wish we could have stayed longer.

We stayed here to attend the Pause Guitarre Festival and we were really surprised on how beautiful is Albi. Honestly, I did not expect anything like what we saw in the last 3 days. The centre is lovely and full of independent shops, and restaurants and cafes'. we had lunch in a very nice seafood restaurant near the cathedral, fabulous!! Toulouse Lautrec museum is amazing. surely i want to come back to see more.

Albi is a photographer's dream. Photo ops at every corner. The evening light on the old city from the other side of the Tarn is amazing. The Cathedrale of Ste. Cecile is stunning. The Toulouse-Lautrec museum is quite large & takes several hours to appreciate.

Albi is a fascinating town with a great history. The covered market is outstanding, with fabulous shops and places of interest to visit. There are a number of small villages nearby which are interesting as well as the Toulouse-La Trec exhibition. The church is really interesting inside and worth a visit. The bed was comfortable, the Wi-Fi strong, the shower hot, and breakfast was absolutely delicious and filling with a regional touch and little variations every day. The hosts were lovely, made me feel very welcome and helped above and beyond. I will surely return and I already look forward to my next visit. Thanks so very much to Marie-France for her advice on what to visit and where to go as well as her lovely anecdotes. She and her husband made this stay special in the best way.

She does everything to add extra touches to make you feel comfortable and make sure your stay is special. The apartment is fresh and lovely with a walk out to the back garden. Breakfast is fresh squeezed juice, coffee or tea, homemade yogurt and fresh pastries and jams. Delicious! She even emailed us to ask if she wanted to make us a dinner reservation which we took her up on. Albi is a precious town to visit.

There were two adjoining rooms with access to a kitchen as well. Breakfast was delicious and generous and we were lucky enough to have it out on the terrace in morning sunshine.
