Lyon is a gastronomic center with a pretty architectural facade ranging from antiquity to modern day. Place Bellecour is centrally located between the Saône and Rhône Rivers in the 2nd arrondissement and opens out into major shopping streets.
On the banks of the Saône lies the district of Vieux Lyon, a great example of the Renaissance and full of museums such as the Lyon History Museum. Winding your way through the beautiful streets you can make your way up to the spectacular white-stone Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière and look down over the city.
There is a lot going on in the main park of Lyon, Parc de la Tête d'Or, which is home to a zoo of exotic animals as well as various sports facilities and a large lake for boating. Boats of a different description are docked on the banks of the Rhône River; they host parties late into the night.
For a taste of tradition, Lyon’s famous bistros, or Bouchons Lyonnais, provide a cozy atmosphere for some of the best in French gastronomy. Plan your perfect holiday in one of Booking.com’s 130+ hotels, apartments or guest houses.

Even after 4 days, we could not understand the working hours of most restaurants and the rules of arrival and service (i.e. kitchen not working at the moment (and its noon) or working but they are not able to serve two people now but in an hour, even though the restaurant obviously doesn't even have a third of its capacity full), but luckily there are restaurants that work all day and do not have time slots when they can serve you

We were very impressed with Lyon.
We were very impressed with Lyon. We enjoyed the history of the silk industry and discovering many of the traboules. Also how the amazing food culture including the bouchons, supported this industry. We enjoyed the culture in the old city including the beautiful art gallery and of course the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière.

Fascinating history of Resistance during WWII.
Fascinating history of Resistance during WWII. Beautiful city. Old Lyon was really special but super crowded. Walkable city. Many Michelin starred restaurants - we ate at Le Tiroir and it was fantastic. Not expensive either. 130 Euros for two.

I would recommend Lyon!
I would recommend Lyon! There is so much to see and a great walking city. We took the “free” walking tour and it was very good. I can’t remember the name of the site. Regardless, our guide was Bertrand and his love and passion for the city was infectious. Bravo to the city for opening this wonderful jewel to the world.

Public transport was easy to navigate, the locals were very friendly (compared to Paris for instance) the gardens are delightful and it was generally relaxing and calm city. Unfortunately, public toilets are nowhere to be seen and not that clean. There are water fountains but no drinking faucet in public views . Parache has female toilet with no toilet rolls and rubbish were piling up outside the university. It was public holiday when I was there so the libraries were closed.

Visit the Traboules - historic hidden passages behind buildings. This was our favorite attraction. We did this with the help from our hotel owner and reception man. The Basilica was another must to visit but be mindful this is a place of worship. Its peaceful and tranquil.
Make sure you cross the Rhone as well as the Saone.
Try the patisseries especially the ones in the quieter areas of the town, absolutely delicious.
We walked everywhere and when we got tired, patisserie or bar!
Would certainly visit this area again as there was lots we did not see.
This is the coolest Boutique Hotel in the culinary capital of France. Previously it was a convent. Some of the details from that era remain such as the little cherub sculpture in my photo. Pretty close to many amazing restaurants and chocolatiers. The front desk staff was very helpful as were the people at the breakfast. They recommended Le Bouchon Sully. This is an amazing dining establishment with great value for your dollar. The breakfast was very good. Nice that there's an automated cappuccino machine in the lobby.
The shower was exceptional, as were the towels, pillow, and bedding. The staff went out of their way to assist when the water in the shower didn't go down one morning. They insisted on issuing a credit to my credit card. That doesn't happen in the United States. This hotel is a charming property on a quiet side street in the 2nd Arr. It's a 5 - 10 minute walk to the subway/tube. Most sights were a 10 - 20 minute walk, or you could take public transportation.
I would return if and when I return to Lyon.
I was passing through on a road trip to the south of france, Ihad biblical rain driving down to here, . The staff parked the car and brought me up items id left. Im Vegan so always have to battle a little for decent food in restaraunts...here the chef made me a custom michelin star level meal using variants from the menu. Some of the best food ive tasted in a long time . The room the quietest ive ever slept in, gorgeous features...truly a world class hotel, and staff to match
The hotel is recently renovated and it looks and feels modern and nice .. the family room accommodates 4 people easily and its very nice.. The staff were extremely kind, and helpful they guided us through the main areas of the city and on how to reach the most convenient way to reach the airport.. the management was also very kind they offered us a complementary breakfast..
I strongly recommend this hotel to families and will stay here again if i ever visit Lyon in future.
The gentleman who was on duty Thursday morning, April 11th serving breakfast!!! Congratulations on his outstanding professionalism, welcoming manner and his effort to make us comfortable and satisfied. In fact, I have seldom met a hotel employee with such good skills!! He's to be commended for sure! The breakfast, scrambled eggs, fresh piping hot tea in a teapot was the best I've had in France for years!
It is excellently located in the middle
of everything you would want to visit in Lyon. The rooms are very comfy, clean and modern- and although located in the centre of a bustling city - very silent.
We cannot wait to come back to Okko Hotel- it is really the best choice for this city.
A, and everybody is very nice and ready to help.
All in al we loved it!
Great location - across the road from where the tram from the airport drops you off and also right next door to the station, so great if you're using Lyon as stop on a bigger France tour as I was. From there, it delivers exactly what you expect, nothing amazing but also no obvious downsides.
I don’t typically respond to surveys, however I wanted to recognize Pierre at Hotel Saint Vincent. Pierre is a true ambassador for the city of Lyon and for the hotel specifically. His knowledge of the city is impeccable and his kindness to help in all matters is genuine. Merci Pierre.
The interior of the hotel is beautiful and our room was very charming. This was the most comfortable bed of our trip and the central location was ideal for our short stay in Lyon to explore the city. The staff were very kind and accommodating and we hope to be back again soon.
it was ok, I was just passing through Lyon and needed a night to get some rest. The downside is they don't have a parking(all hotels in the area don't) so there is a bit of walking from the underground parking to the hotel. Not cool especially if you have a bit of luggage.
What a gem of a hotel in the heart of Lyon. The location, 30 seconds away from a metro station on the pedestrianized Rue Victor Hugo, could not be more convenient. Cozy courtyard, comfortable room and helpful staff—will stay again the next time I’m in Lyon!
Very good value on booking.com. Clean basic hotel. Comfortable bed. Excellent A/C.
In a residential neighborhood of Lyon (8th), covenient shops and restaurants around. 10 mn by metro from city center.
Exactly like the photos. Old France feeling, next to the most interesting neighborhood of Lyon. Plenty of coffee and refreshments from host Stef. Old historic entrance created a magestic atmosphere.
The room was sooooo conformable!
As a single adventurer myself, this was one of the best stay in France so far. I felt completely recharged after a night in this tiny but comfortable room ; )
very nice rooms with the option to have extra large bed which is a rarity in France, clean, parking available directly at the hotel, breakfast available, very nice staff and hotel room view
