The room was quite small. We had two small twin beds that were pushed together. They were very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the location was perfect.
The staff was also very friendly!

It’s location was ideal - close to the railway station and bus station. We were especially grateful to be able to store a bag at the hotel while we went on a walking tour of the Ecrins.

We personally found it unwelcoming and horrible. We found that people were nasty to us as soon as we said we couldn’t speak much French. We also ended up eating in our hotel room every night because how the locals would treat us. Wasn’t a good trip for us personally. If you speak a good amount of French then I’m sure you’d enjoy this trip.

Where are the street lights?
Where are the street lights?
Walking back to the hotel around 9 p.m. after dinner was a bit hazardous. So many people on scooters whizzing past at speed, many dresssed in black, no lights on the vehicle and no lights to see them coming.
Where were the hot springs. Closed at the weekend

Great base to explore the local nature hikes in warmer months. If you plan ahead several of these are accessible by public transport. Also, if you like art (even a little bit) the Musee de Grenoble's permanent collection is amazing and free to visit.

Disapointing experience due to the city environment, streets are globaly dirty, walls full of grafitis and many shops are damaged (after recent riots). Even some caves of the Bastille are covered with grafs! The city seems to be abandoned and really unsafe, what a pity when you look at the moutains all around and the potential of this location 😞

We only had an overnight stay.
We only had an overnight stay. Was concerned by the amount of shop windows in the town that appeared to have been smashed and were either boarding up and left. Felt slightly uneasy walking around in the evening.

Fairly quiet with a number of businesses closed - clearly more of a winter resort than summer. However, there remain interesting museums (the free Musée de l'Ancien Echevé is particularly fascinating) and numerous hiking opportunities (not all of which require leaving the city!).
Local transport (tram and bus) is excellent with a €5-80 daily ticket (Visitag) excellent value. You need to pay separately (€9-50 rtn) for the cablecar to the heights of La Bastille if you do not fancy the stiff hike but do not miss the chance of such excellent views. Local rail station has excellent local services to Valence, Chambéry and Annecy as well as direct TGV service(s) to Paris
A variety of restaurants offer everything from a quick pizza to local specialities as part of a full dinner menu
We rented a car, traveled France from Paris to the Atlantic coast, to the Mediterranean coast, and back. Fantastic DIY trip. The backroads, communities, stunningly beautiful. The tourist sites we visited, great. Truly welcoming hotels (including a couple of smaller places with no elevator) appreciative of guests. This was a fantastic 20-day visit to France. Recommended to all, Just not Hotel d'Angleterre in Grenoble.
The Hotel is centrally situated in Grenoble making exploring easy. There is a large underground garage providing secure parking. The restaurant/bar is also very nice with a good selection of beers and wines and a decent 'pub grub' menu with nice food. There was a great selection of food for breakfast also. The staff was very helpful and helped me to arrange my mandatory Covid test (thank you!).
Very nice hotel in the center of Grenoble, freshly renovated.
Very kind personnel, careful to customer needs: we did not book a parking place, and when we arrived the parking was fully booked. Nevertheless, they managed to give us a place to park our car. Great stuff!
Warm and comfortable rooms, even though a bit small.
We did not try the breakfast.
Good location, good equipment available, very clean apartment. Enough space on the upper floor. Parking place available, bakeries and some restaurants in the neighbourhood. One can walk to the city centre. Good for 2 adults + baby. We were 2 adults and 2 children, so we had to use the sleeping sofa on the lower floor.
This is the best hotel I have stayed in while working near Grenoble. Fantastic clean modern rooms with super comfortable bed and a nice bar and restaurant in the hotel. Plenty of other restaurants and stores are a short walk away. Great gym and sauna made this overall a favorite hotel!
The hotel is located right in the centre of Grenoble, very close to all attractions, many restaurants and bars. There is a public parking not far away, which is very convenient if you are coming by car. The room we stayed was clean and comfortable. The ratio quality/price is good.
The hotel was centrally located in a great spot. So easy to wander the streets for touring, shopping and food. Felt very safe as a solo traveler with a hotel security gate and another locked door access before entering my room. Oh, and the breakfast was lovely.
Very nice, well- equipped, clean and comfortable flat.
Easy check in .
About 15 minutes walking far from city centre and close to Paul Mistral park.
Free parking available.
In the nearby you can find a pharmacy, a bakery and other shops.
I really liked the hotel's decor with the concept of sustainability. The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom has what is needed. The breakfast is pretty good. The location is very convenient, near the central gare of grenoble
Staff was excellent. I was sick when stayed at the hotel after a long flight and they helped me find a doctor and navigate the French medical system until I finally got the medical help I needed.
What a charming hotel! Our room was very clean and comfortable. This hotel is in a location perfect for exploring the old Grenoble town. The staff are friendly and accommodating.
functionality.
very good breakfast with scrambled/hard boiled eggs and bacon or ham n cheese, fresh croissants, great coffee.
