We've used this hotel as a stopover before. The rooms are clean, comfortable and the facilities within the room are good. The staff are pleasant and welcoming.
The only issue I have is that at night the rooms are a little stuffy and you need to open the windows. I don't know what can be done about that, but it was noticeable on the last 2 occasions. Apart from that..... Everything was good.
Staff, food, hotel great very friendly and happy to help, very clean.
The mattress and pillows were a bit hard for me but I'm a bit picky and the room got very hot in middle of night but as we had small children we couldn't open the patio doors so other ventilation would of made it a better night sleep.
We had a top-floor, riverside double room which was very nicely furnished, comfortable, clean and had all we needed. Our rate included a set 3-course meal which was excellent, with generous sized portions and a good choice. We happened to be staying on Valentine's Day and the hotel had a tribute act playing which was great fun! All in all, brilliant value!
Location excellent with great view of the river and bridge. Quiet and peaceful.
Mattress a bit too firm for comfort with flat pillows. Drinks machine good idea but not working. Room key stopped working after first of our 2 night stay.
Receptionist was helpful and friendly organising a cab for us. We only stayed one night so didn't spend much time in the hotel.
The bar closed early, it would be nice for residents to be able to have a late drink if they wanted one
We loved the fabulous location and enjoyed a brisk walk across Thames side meadows, without having even to cross the road. There was a barge moored on the Bridge Hotel quay, with swans, ducks and moorhens, it felt almost like staying on the water. The staff were very good and helpful - mostly young people, and very friendly.
River view and very friendly staff
The sofa bed was a bit tired as we're the pillows but all in all it was good value for money
Quiet room overlooking the river. Relaxed good breakfast plenty of space in dinning room
This was a good hotel for a weekend away that offered everything we needed for one night.
The breakfast was disappointing. Quite limited choice in both cooked and continental and very dried out.Expensive for what was offered.
The location to Thorpe Park.
1. Separate rooms for my family at different ends of the hotel. 2. One of the rooms had a broken television not worth reporting for a 1 night stay. 3. Dirty shower curtain in one of the rooms ... Again not worth reporting for a 1 night stay.
Could control the heating in room, very friendly staff
The only thing that did spoil it was the noisey road
Nice views good food
Asked for a double room.. paid extra for a room with a view of the river and got 2 single beds pushed together with seperate mattresses and one bed was a couple of inches higher then the other. Told the receptionist the next morning and didn't even get an apologie just we will have a look at it. Very dissapointed.
Convenience and free parking
restaurant menu could do with more healthy options-no salads
Excellent value for money and the staff are very helpful, polite and professional.
The hotel has great view over the river, they make a good food, the stuff are helpful and the interior of the room was relaxing
If you have room towards the road, that could be a bit noisy
View of the river is beautiful and I was pleased with the room overall.
This is just a heads up on staff to remain professional at all times. Whilst checking out a lady in front had a list of complaints. I wasn't in a rush and didn't mind waiting patiently however I know it can be a pain to listen to complaints (I've worked in a hotel)... but the eye rolling, tutting and other unprofessional habits are noticed by other guests. Also if check out is 11am you may want to have a word with housekeeping. Our room was accessed at 9am and wasn't exactly a great time to be doing so.
Location Price Modern Wi Fi
Cramped room/bathroom Room hadn't been cleaned properly Noisy on ground floor
- Full English Breakfast - Free Wifi - Good view from the bedroom of the river - Bath - Spacious room - Lots of car parking
- Toilet brush and holder left for a day inside the lift - Coffee was lukewarm at breakfast
Got a free upgrade to a suite. Paid £39 pound for one night. Nice deep bath. Huge tv. Bed was comfortable. Room was nice and warm. All the staff we spoke to were lovely and friendly.
Woman at reception said the room had just been upgraded. It had a cracked mirror in the bathroom. The bathroom door got stuck and the bedroom window was broke so the noise of the main road kept us awake. The hotel is a good half an hour walk into the town too..
Room service was prompt
That we had to pay for the tray of £2 to recieve our food what a joke !
Comfort of room and the breakfast was the best I have ever been served at a hotel
Loud mouthed members of the public at the bar which is no fault of the hotel but the staff could have ignored them and not give them any encouragement.
Unbelievable value for money and a very comfortable 1 night stay in super surroundings. I wpull recommend highly.
Nothing to dislike
I loved the location as it was central to a small town and along a beautiful river. The breakfast was cooked to order, so fresh and very delicious. The deluxe rooms were cosy and the beds were fantastic. Room service girls were very polite and delivered in good time.
Some small problems that me and my partner noted included a crack in the mirror in the bathroom. Physically it didn't look great. One of the bedside lights did not work and also it would be better if you could start a tab for room service and pay after your visit. My partner had to pay each visit down to the bar.
Paid for de-luxe room but had one which would be difficult to describe as a standard. My complaints to the hotel staff were ignored . Their attitude was take it or leave it. My complaints to the hotel by Emails have not been satisfactorily answered . Their reply to my first Email was that they would "respond in a timely manner". Almost a month later I am still awaiting a response.
The room size was good for 3 adults sharing. The price was very reasonable
The beds were very uncomfortable as were the pillows.
