Booked due to location near to the harry potter studios and it was ideal. Right next to watford junction station which has a regular bus to the studios. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Whilst it was not anything to do with the hotel, Rail Workers gathered in the back car park at about 11.30 and were very noisy shouting, whistling etc. This continued for quite a while.
Close to station, accomodating staff, Cleanliness
Rail Maintenance overnight kept us awake!
Poor for the size of the hotel . Very basic , sausage, beans, mushrooms on offer as cooked and minimal fresh fruit.
Comfy room, really well kitted out with kettle, tv, wifi. Really modern finish in the rooms. Extremely helpful and friendly staff.
Breakfast was just garbage, sorry! Improve this and the place is first class!
The staff were very friendly, hotel very clean. I saw some bad reports regarding breakfast but we found the breakfast okay, there was sausages, beans, scrambed egg and toast as well as the usual continental choices.
like most holiday inn expresses this hotel does not disappoint , stayed here for one night to travel to Wembley, the hotel is in an excellent position next to the train station with regular trains to Wembley and central London, clean , tidy, friendly staff and lovely breakfast, would highly recommend
Location Bright Clean Friendly staff
No bacon at breakfast
Personel is friendly, and very service oriented. Rooms are good and clean. Showers are very good. Near to station, but still quiet.
Restaurant can be better: better looking and more choice for dinner. Breakfast should have a bit more choice. Desk in room should get better lighting.
We stay here every year, on several occasions for Wembley events, great location.
Breakfast! Long wait, then raw sausages, so left early.
shower curtain smelt awful and I paid £140.00 a night for a double room-very expensive
Excellent location for the bus to the harry potter studio tour Room was clean and a good size No noise from other guests 10-15 minute walk to Watford town centre
Breakfast wasn't up to much A lot of noise from the passing trains Not easy to get to from Luton airport, £40 each way in a taxi! Bar area was freezing and quite expensive!
Checked in early thank you very helpful
Breakfast wasn't nice didn't eat in the end had to pay for breakfast on our way home
Had a fantastic time at the holiday inn. Great service letting us check in early as we drove down from Glasgow. Definatley be using Holiday Inn express at Watford Junction every year we visit now. Thanks for a fantastic time
Great all round. If I'm being very picky I would say some more selection of hot food for breakfast eg bacon, fried egg but that's really picky as a great hotel
It was very clean and warm
Did not like that reception and dining area for breakfast and dinner were the same area not very nice for everyone coming into reception watching people eating And the smell of food
Staff were very friendly and helpful
good location very clean good price good breakfast
car parking - number of spaces
Paying £160 was outrageous
Excellent size of room! Good selection of channels on the telly. Loved the amount of pillows on the bed. Still received a bag of towls and things even when we didn't want house keeping!
Not a great selection for the hot options at breakfast. Could possibly have more fruit variety
staff where very friendly and very helpful. The room was great and the bathroom was lovely. The train station was just across the road which was ideal for travel.
There was nothing I did not like, the breakfast was lovely but a little limited especially if you are trying to be healthy and do not wish to just eat fruit. The menu in the evening looked a little basic, however we did not eat their in the evening.
Lovely, friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. Location easy to find and great for getting to Harry Potter Studios. Great for getting to central London as right next to Watford Junction railway station.
TV didn't work properly, kept flickering, We had paid for a movie but couldn't see it all as a result. However, mentioned this at checkout and was told straight away that we wouldn't be charged for the film. Very impressed.
Location was ideal. Staff were very polite, helpful and friendly. Room was very quiet. Bar was open until 1am!
Breakfast was rather functional - no bacon or mushrooms when we ate. Bed was rather soft. Shower never really got very hot.
Quality of mattresses poor Little information in room regarding services Temperature control poor Too little room when soda bed used Staff not really caring
the hotel is in a excellent location for trains into wembley
