We did not go into Runcorn at all.

We did not go into Runcorn at all. We used the hotel, as we were visiting Frodsham and Chester, to see family. Unfortunately, Runcorn is not a place I would visit. The hotel says it’s in Runcorn, but it’s actually in Sutton Weaver. There’s nothing in Runcorn to see. Your best bet is going further afield to Liverpool or Chester.

Runcorn has lots to offer: pubs, of course the chippy, a theatre and I think a cinema too. As well there's a lovely dessert-shop which offers ice-cream, waffles, cakes, pancakes or crepe until very late with lots of options... Wonderful. The people there are just lovely. Lots of other places are quite close, e.g. Liverpool, the country of Wales and different places on the coast. Watch out for the bridges and don't forget to pay the toll.

Basic room in a accommodation block, not a pretty site but clean and comfortable bed. Piping hot water in the clean bathroom. Free easy WIFI, clear instruction as to how to get there, very pleasant staff. Extensive roadworks nearby though, near to the railway station gave the approach a worrying view, but once past the works, the hotel was pleasant and parking easy. We would stay there again.

Liked everything about the hotel; room, bed, breakfast and most staff. Only downside was a male member of staff walking through the ladies changing room in the health centre unannounced. My wife was in getting showered and changed at the time. If he had gone in a couple of minutes earlier she said she would have been stood there naked. This is not acceptable

more tea and coffee and milk sachets in room. fire alarm that if activated, then cancelled because of false alarm, some way to inform guests. better sausages, but that is personal, breakfast was superb otherwise, and staff both at check in and breakfast and check out were wonderful. only stopped at Runcorn as visiting Warrington, them off to Chester following day. only problem with that was roadworks. perhaps when acknowledging booking, a little note to explain how to access through the roadworks would bed useful!

Bit of an odd one, just used this hotel before an early flight from Liverpool. Much as you would expect from a chain hotel, everything clean and as it should be, plenty of free parking. However it seems to be a place that caters for contractors, the all prevailing smell of cigarette smoke was quite bad and although efforts had been made in our room it had definitely been smoked in. Having said that it was spotless and comfortable but I would look for a different hotel in the area next time.

The neighborhood was questionable but I was impressed with the condition inside the hotel. The room was spotless and so quiet. I slept like a baby. We forgot to put the do not disturb sign out and the housekeeping staff knocked softly in the morning but didn’t yell out or anything when they opened the door. Closed the door as soon as they noted the chain. I appreciated that. There was a convention going on as well the night we were there and I was impressed there was no disturbance from that.

Lovely view from my comfortable spot on the sofa. Plenty of hot water for a relaxing bath when I arrived. A friendly welcome and great communication from Carol who met me on arrival and showed me to the apartment. Felt very safe due to plenty of bolts on the front door. Five minutes walk to the bus stop in the morning to get to Liverpool Airport. I'm unlikely to be in Runcorn again but I would definitely book here if I was.

The level of Customer Service was exceptional. From the moment of my arrival at reception all the staff I encountered were welcoming, friendly and professional. For me this is the single most important element of a Hotel stay. The room was clean and met all my requirements. Although I did not have dinner, breakfast was lovely

Very close proximity to the train station and no more than a 10 minute walk to the town centre. It was cheap and cheerful but had all of the facilities needed and the room, although very basic, was warm and comfortable. It was more than adequate for one night and we would definitely stay again.
