The staff were really lovely, very helpful and gave us a great room overlooking the beach. Had all the facilities we needed plus a very reasonably priced breakfast on site. Great location close to town, harbour and beach.

Really nice pub. Lovely staff. Amazing location. Walk behind the pub and through the fields along the coast - the most beautiful hike we have done in a long time.

A quirky themed hotel. Located in a prime position opposite the beautiful Weymouth beach, close to the town centre and transport links. The gorgeous grade II listed building has been beautifully renovated. My room was very comfortable and very quiet. Steve is a welcoming and attentive host. I loved the ‘library’ where breakfast was served - a very stylish mix of traditional and modern maximalism.
Situated 1 minute's walk from the town bridge over the historic Weymouth Harbour, this traditional hotel offers comfortable accommodation, a restaurant and bar, and easy access to beach, 10-minutes'...

Your typical seaside resort at the beachfront- loads to to, amusements, land train, donkey rode, good restaurants! Beach is flat, shallow and shady- perfect for kiddies!!
Harbour area is more cosmopolitan and beautiful, upper market cafes and pubs… really stunning views.
The town itself is a bit rough, with closed down shops etc. But all the shops you’d need! A lot of tourtisty shops to keep you browsing happily!

We enjoyed a walk around Weymouth and the surrounding areas.
We enjoyed a walk around Weymouth and the surrounding areas.
We did the "White Horse" walk from Sutton Poyntz, just outside Weymouth and went on to see the stunning coastline at Durdle Door.
The Isle of Portland was also worth a visit. It was March and too blustery and wet to do a decent walk but the vies at Portland Bill and of Chessil Beach was well worth a visit.
30 minutes from Weymouth, we visited West Bay with another nice coastline and a very interesting Custom House in the village which had a wealth of memorabilia for sale.

We only stayed for 2 nights however found Weymouth to be a fairly nice seaside town that feels like it's 'on the up' with lots of boutique shops and cafes as well as some lovely places to eat. It's also a great place to base yourself for exploring Dorset with Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door and Ringstead bay to the East and the Jurassic coast to the West.

Lovely place, the harbour has been pedestrianised with really nice fish restaurants with views of the harbour while you dine outside. More fishing boats here now to service them. A great place to watch people & boats go by while you drink or eat
Beach is mostly sandy & great for dogs to exercise

Weymouth has a lot to offer visitors.
Weymouth has a lot to offer visitors. A lovely wide and sandy main beach, where you can walk all the way along to Bowleaze cove, another nice spot (pebble beach) but quieter.
Brewers Quay is great to wander around, plenty of cafes and restaurants and again you can walk to North Fort which looks out to Portland.
Sandsfoot Castle and beach is a nice place to visit in the summer.

We loved that our room was or felt out of the way.
Our view was lovely .
The hosts were friendly, helpful and genuine.
Location is a Stone throw away. Ideal location to pubs, shops, arcades and pavilion.
Just a short walk to the train station.
The room (Rm 101) was spacious, overlooked the seafront and extremely well equipped. The large shower was excellent. The room itself was [almost] perfect. Of particular note were the specialist reading lights beside the bed (often missing in the best hotels). The picture shows view from our window.
The serve yourself continental breakfast was fine but not exciting.
We stayed on a Friday night and on returning to our hotel after dinner out found a superb jazz party going on in the bar led by a lady who performs there every Friday evening.
The breakfast and large room was well organised and everything was a high standard. The coffee and tea facilities in the room had nice touches with the milk in a thermos flask bottle and real coffee/decaff bags. The BnB is away from the coast but no problem getting around with a car. We could go to Lyme Regis, Dorchester and Weymouth where there were interesting places to enjoy. The breakfast is served in a spacious room and the ordering, service and the food were A star.
Great location. Couldn't believe how quiet it was, despite there being a pub/restaurant next door. Building was lovely and the room and bathroom were very well presented. Chickerell is a great jumping off point, for the centre of Weymouth + Portland, and the private, off road parking. is a fantastic bonus, given that many hotels/b&bs in Weymouth don't have access to this.
the location was first class with parking in local area , from the moment we entered the hotel the staff were very warm and friendly. The room was spotless with good quality bedding and towels . we very much liked the bar on the courtyard in front of hotel nice to sit with a beer and watch the world go by .
I’m already looking to book again in September for a week
The hotel is perfectly located right on the seafront. You literally cross the road and you’re on the beach. Our room was very clean and comfortable with a view out over Weymouth Bay. There was a good choice of food at breakfast time and the staff we met were all very nice and friendly. The food at breakfast time was well prepared and tasty.
The hotel has lovely views of the beach and Weymouth bay and is easy walking to the town and harbour. We were greeted by the owner who was very welcoming. Our room/ bathroom were both very clean. Breakfast was cooked to order so was fresh and very tasty. We enjoyed our one night stay and thought it was good value for money.
A huge, comfortable flat in a great location for getting in and out of Weymouth. Everything we needed was within walking distance. The flat was really well supplied with kitchenware, and books, DVDs, games etc in the living room.
Would highly recommend it and would stay there again.
It was very nice bed was soft and comfy ,room service, swiming pool, spa , jacuzzi many things. We love it with my son 😍 the location to the beach is also very good , if we go to Weymouth to holiday again definitely we will stay again in the same hotel ! 😊
The apartment was compact but had everything you needed for a comfortable stay, it was clean & private with parking & is only a few minutes walk in to weymouth. Antoine & Kristy are very accomodating & there if you need any assistance
So many things for kids to do, grounds and hotel itself were really nice and the view was awesome :) rooms were great and it was evident that they had really thought about families and what they need. Food in the hotel was nice too!
Kez and Rodney are just the best hosts and Penn House is a remarkable hotel on the Weymouth Seafront. the view from our room left us speechless.
We had the best time and we’ll be back.
Great place to explore weymouth, easy cheap parking, friendly staff, opposite selection of pubs etc, places to eat and best of all£100 cheaper than premier inn.
Breakfast was perfect. Stephanie has a menu where one selects what to have for breakfast. Continental/ English breakfast.
Location is central in Weymouth.
It was a fabulous location. Great view of the Beach and Seafront. The sand looks great for families. Weymouth did not disappoint. Top marks to the Hotel.
