The views are amazing, the property was just perfect and there is a footpath leading up to the town. The employee who was there on our stay took hospitality to the next level. He was attentive and so kind. Our remote didn’t work for the tv and I kept forgetting to tell him and we came back to our room done up and the remote already changed. The breakfast menu was amazing and so good!

The breakfasts and evening meals we had were excellent. The hotel was in eyesight of the funicular down to Lynmouth. walk from the hotel to valley of rocks had fantastic views.

The location of the hotel was even better than we realised! Right on the South West Coast Path and a secret access via the garden to the wonderful cliff lift so you could pop down into Lynmouth at any time. We didn't use our car for 3 days it was so easy to access walks to the beautiful Valley of The Rocks and the rest of the SWCP from the hotel and down in Lymouth a beautiful riverside walk to Watersmeet and beyond. The hotel staff couldn't have been better - so attentive and smiling. Breakfast was all you could ask for. You could have it in your room if you preferred not to eat with others too. Bed was huge and very comfy! Our room had a fantastic sea view from the bedroom and from the bathroom. Some nice little galleries and shops in Lynton and Lymouth but be prepared to book ahead for meals otherwise you may find it hard to get a table.

We stayed five nights and I relaxed into the hotel and its vibe as the days went on. The hotel is very comfortable, with friendly staff who care about their guests. We especially enjoyed sitting on the terrace recharging ourselves after a day's outing with a pot of tea or glass of wine from the honesty bar, simply enjoying the view. The breakfasts are good and cooked fresh to order. The hotel had fruit bowls and sweets you could help yourself to which was a nice touch. Our room although small was comfortable and we slept well. At night it's very quiet. I usually wear earplugs in hotels but had no need of them.

Breakfast was excellent. Interesting experience navigating to the hotel but once there secure parking. I did not need to move car once arrived as could walk to where we wanted to go.
