Apart from the Coniston Hotel's superb spa, we were impressed with the quality of the food and service we received.
The staff were outstanding in their engagement and attention to us as guests. In my opinion, the staff team at The Coniston Hotel were first class .

Breakfast was good. Staff were very young, inexperienced, and not very welcoming. Faulty Towers springs to mind.
Alma Cliffe was an elegant home away from home. The house is beautifully decorated & immaculately kept. The hosts were special people asking if there was anything we needed. It was simply "Ask & you shall receive.!" Nothing was too much trouble & it was obvious that our comfort was of the utmost importance.
The hosts are a very pleasant couple.

I can't be terribly helpful about Barnoldswick as I was visiting friends at the Lower Park Marina, but the town itself has some lovely shops and cafes and plenty of available parking. Just down the road at Colne there is the Boundary outlet with all of the top name shops to browse. Easy access to Skipton and Harrogate for more amazing shops and experiences.

I booked for bed and breakfast and on our arrival was told we would have to pay another £8.50 each day for a cooked breakfast. We got a small continental breakfast, which on description on booking .com it did say breakfast.

Nice hotel & location good for touring around, just very dissapointed they have removed the English Breakfast as we have stayed several times & the breakfast was lovely, can't say the same about the continental & would like to see them get the showers renewed
The views are stunning and the hut is fitted out beautifully. You have everything you need for a comfortable stay. There are cooking facilities both inside the hut and outside in the covered seating area. Alison and John are both lovely and will leave you to enjoy the hut once you have checked in. There is an Aldi in Barnoldswick, 1.5 miles away down hill. Perfectly located for exploring Pendle Hill for the witch trail and other surrounding villages.
Everything about the old stone trough hotel was absolutely amazing. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. They were extremely helpful particularlyas we have a dog. In fact, when we came home, we mentioned the hotel to close friends who were looking for somewhere to stay this coming weekend also with a dog, and they have booked to go. We have also rebooked for our wedding anniversary in February. Truly a fabulous place to stay.
The rooms were nice and clean. We had breakfast in the morning, it was the basic continental one and served the purpose to quickly grad something before leaving for the day. There was a farm in front and behind the hotel where we saw rabbits and sheep. It was really nice. they also have ample parking for the cars. Overall a satisfied stay. I would recommend staying here.
Nicely decorated house in a quiet location near to Barnoldswick town centre.
Comfortable bed ensuring a good night's sleep.walking distance of local shops - I can recommend Frank's takeaway coffee shop and the Barlick Raj Balti.
Good position for exploring the Yorkshire Dales - I can recommend Stirk House and the Inn at Whitewell for meals outside Barnoldswick.
This cottage is a home from home. The beds and sofa are very comfy, the wood burner is a treat and the kitchen has everything you could need.
It is located in central Barnoldswick, very convenient for the town and a great starting point for many spectacular walks.
The hosts were lovely. The views fabulous. Breakfast and cleanliness very good. Need to be able to climb steps to get to the hotel. I didn’t mind sharing bathroom with family. Next year they are putting en suite into the rooms which will be a bonus
Very warm welcome. Great Location for the Barnoldswick Music & Arts Centre which has fantastic bands and artists there regularly. The property decor was carefully chosen and the room had so many thoughtful, personal touches. Very comfortable stay.
Perfect location to explore the local countryside and town...we found everyone we met to be warm and friendly...the Barnoldswick Music and Arts Centre is a wonderful venue to listen to live bands from all across the globe.
Good location for exploring the local area, and a bus stop outside if you fancied a few beers in nearby Barnoldswick . Staff were very helpful and friendly. Buffet breakfast was lovely too.
Our second visit there this year. The location is really nice with views of countryside and within reach of nice Lancashire towns. The room itself was spacious and generally clean
for us the location was not so good as my husband is a poor walker so a bit to far from centre.ideal for a large family enough beds for 8 people.barnoldswick a lovely place.
