Wauw - what a nice place. The room was very spacious, especially the bathroom. Very clean, very modern equipment. We watched the sunset out of the balcony of one window side and the sunrise on the other. The view on the water castle of Bourtzi in the Argolic gulf is breathtaking. The reception provided even beach towels for the beach which is in walking distance from the Guesthouse. We loved the breakfast, a buffet with homemade bakeries and local food beautifully presented and cared for by the chef and his team.

We stayed in Nafplio for 2 days but we could have stayed much longer because it is beautiful town with many places to visit. From here we went to Epidaurus, Tyrins and Mycenae, all these are extraordinary archeological sites. The Palamidi fortress is a huge medieval citadel that sits on a hill overlooking the city, very impressive and well conserved, a masterpiece on itself. The problem there is the parking lot which is really very very small for the huge amount of visitors. It is very crowded at most times. The city center is very picturesque, narrow streets with beautiful houses and flowers everywhere, lots of small shops and boutiques.

Nafplio is a lovely and picturesque town, with lots of good restaurants and shops. It's in a lovely setting, and there are a fair few things to see and visit in the town itself, while it also makes a great base for exploring the rest of the Peloponnese. The only thing it lacks is a top quality beach, which is perhaps just as well or it would be overflowing with tourists!

although nafplio itself is not large, especially if you stick to the old town which is the most interesting part it is a good base for local tours either with a bus/ktel, affordable taxi or a car. We would have liked to at least check out Epidavros as well and a near by monastery. if you plan to visit nearby sites without basing your self in nafplio 2 days is plenty other wise 4 days to fit Mycenae and Epidavrus
If traveling to Nafplio (or the general area), look no further. The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the old town, a short walk to everything, including parking. The family-owner-hosts are just fantastic, embodying the best of Greek filoxenia. The breakfast Panagiota, the mother, prepares in the morning is simply incredible, home cooked with ample portions to carry you through the day. The rooms are beautiful, with everything you need, including stocked with water and a bottle of wine. What, on earth, else is there to say?
We had a wonderful time at Ilion Hotel! The location is amazing, in the very center of Nafplio, close to all the shops and taverns. The room itself was very spacious, wonderfully decorated and we really enjoyed the bathtub with the jacuzzi function. The breakfast was delicious and plenty, and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. They helped us arrange our visit to Mycenae (Mykines) and answered all our questions thoroughly. I can't recommend this place enough! Ευχαριστούμε για όλα!
Hotel is newly refurbished with fresh rooms, lovely decor and an incredible view of Nafplio. Staff were very helpful but most of the time guests are on their own. LOVED the rooftop and the gorgeous courtyard with colorful seating for breakfast or tea. Very clean and modern in the rooms and a small fridge which was very helpful! I very much enjoyed and found hotel to be great value! Just a bit of a walk and can be quite difficult with the suitcases up the many many flights of stairs.
The breakfast was great and we so appreciated the delicious cake that Ioanna made for us on two different occasions during our stay. The apartment itself had everything we needed, was completely updated, and such a comfortable place to use as our base to travel and explore. I cannot recommend this place highly enough- it was easily our favorite of all the apartments we rented while in Greece!
Nafplio, is a beautiful little coastal town, about 2 hours from Athens. There are a lot of shops and restaurants all around the hotel. We we're right on the beach.
If you would like to swim, you can walk around the mountain pass, and find a little beach to hang out in to swim.
One you are done, you can walk the 999 steps up to the castle.
Beautiful hotel location, near everything!
Hospitality in this hotel was higher then anywhere else I ever visited in Greece or elsewhere in all kinds of hotels. Location is great - short walking distance from the old town and with a lot of free parking spaces, great cafes, restaurants or shops where locals go. Simple interior and very clean rooms. Great value for money. Big balcony and we had a view of the castle
Amaila Hotels are amazing, I have stayed at their other locations in Olympia and Delphi before, and I am never disappointed with my stays. The location in Nafplio is amazing, as the staff was friendly, the breakfast was tasty and the grounds were kept clean.
I recommend staying at any of their locations within Greece, you will truly enjoy your time.
I liked everything, Dimitris and Maria were excellent hosts. Our room was cleaned every day and we always had fresh towels. The breakfast was also good. I highly recommend Ancient Tiryns to anyone who wants to visit this part of Greece ( Peleponnese) and enjoy the wonderful places of Napflio, Tolo, Spetses, Hydra and Porto Cheli.
love the country side hotel. And surprisingly found it is a family run business. With good facility, it is still feel like a cozy homestay. Large orange tree farms around. This is the best sleep we had for whole Greece trip for 16 days. So quiet. And we can see the castle and sea in distance too. 15 mins from the town center.
Choosing sophie's apartment was definitely the best choice me and my friend could make!
Sophie was really friendly and the apartment was equipped with everything we needed.
I have stayed at dozen of apartments and hotels in Nafplio.
This was on the top of the list of best stays ever!
Very clean, well-kept boutique hotel in the old town of Nafplio. Service and staff were exemplary. Our room has a good-size terrace with views over the rooftops toward Palmidi Fortress which was wonderful in the evening when temperatures cooled somewhat and the fortress was lit up.
Location: quiet place near the center, that's what we like. Not noisy tourist center.
Apartment: Spacious, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms - comfortable for 2 pairs
Beautiful Nafplio, beautiful Greece, very friendly Greek people all over the trip
Things are magically simple really: a beautifully-designed boutique hotel, located in the heart of the old Nafplio town. Spacious rooms, comfortable bed & the most polite owners you've seen. Will definitely choose again for our next stay!
Clean, simple hotel only a few minutes walk from the old town, excellent value. Nice small balcony with a view to one side of the castle, quiet location. I'm still getting used to firm beds in Greece, but I slept well.
Adorable property! Great location and the host, Lena, was just the sweetest!! Loved hearing all about her experiences in Greece and the history of the building. Breakfast was fantastic... The perfect stay in Nafplio!
Absolutely everything! The location is very good. Close to the center, but not so crowded. There is a supermarket nearby. The staff was brilliant. Definitely will come to this hotel again if I come to Nafplio again.
Breakfast was nice. Hotel was walking distance to Old Town Nafplion. But the best part of our stay was the staff. Special shout out to Theodora, Christina and Constantine who made our stay extra special!
Just exceptional. Room gorgeous, decor of hotel beautiful, service wonderful and absolutely delicious breakfast out by the harbour in one of the most marvellous towns in Greece
