Comfortable room. Friendly staff. Very relaxed....
They could have a bit more of a variety at breakfast and not the same thing every day. But even so what was there was good....
Close to Metro (150m) / three stops to city center. Correct breakfast for three mornings. Friendly and helpful receptionist.
WiFi could be better. Old elevator, but working!
Location, toilet was OK and the shower had a glass door( not very common)
Did not like the stink of cigarettes. And the tiny beds we booked a triple room the third bed looked like a camp bed with a mattress, only suitable for a child.
cleanliness lack of advertised facilities attitude of staff location unsafe issued bills at a different price to suit
Very close to undergound station
The area is a bit dodgy. The hotel obviously had some renovations done but still looks "tired"
One recommendation to the hotel administrators: Please do not allow the guests to smoke in the rooms. It's painful for non smokers to stand the smell after.
The hotel itself is fairly nice. Don't go into it expecting a red carpet laid out for you but it was nice to come into somewhere cool, quiet and at the very least clean. The rooms themselves were decently sized, the shower was good, air con worked and I had a clean room to come back to everyday after my travels. The breakfast was always very basic and nothing special but it was at least prepared everyday and all in a clean environment.
I booked a balcony room and had a fairly grotty view of some flats behind me, which was a bit of a letdown. The staff are fairly blunt and not that welcoming, however, that's not necessarily indicative of a poor hotel. From what I experienced, this happened nearly everywhere I went. It's a cultural difference, where if you stayed in a British hotel, you'd be having the well-mannered smiles and the 'sir' comments thrown at you. If I had one major complaint, it would be that this area is NOT nice. I certainly enjoyed my experience but seeing the rest of Athens compared to the Metaxourgio area, it reminded me of what Brixton was like in the late 90s. It was not pleasant and if I ever wandered around late, I was wary of my surroundings. And also on a minor note, the wifi was dreadful. It's intermittent at best but I was losing my patience a lot.
The "Acropolis view" is misleading, as almost everyone in Athens has an Acropolis view. Especially frustrating to pay extra for a balcony that barely has a view.
The Hop On/Hop Off bus has a stop near the hotel. The roof terrace has a nice view of the Acropolis.
Location perfect, nice and service minded staff, good price, breakfast included.
Very noisy, traffic of course when you're in central Athens.. but you don't want to hear other guests talking, opening and closing doors, even snoring.. Bed was very uncomfortable.
girls in reception price visits programs available speak good english
noisy from street at night tv channel
Good location, very near to metro station & central of old city
Everything..Staff very friendly and helpful. Very accommodating. Internet was good and free. Parking was good too but limited. Place very near to Bus station and Food. Will come back again to stay here. I recommend this Hotel.
Small Elevator..Limited Parking
Location was good and it was value for the money spent.
Though they said there is wi-fi in the room there was not connection at all. That was very disappointing.
The room was inexspensive, it had a continetnal breakfast and was close to the metro
The linen was visabley dirty, the A.C was broken and while we complained 3 times nothing was ever done, the room was small and bare, the beds were two twins pushed together that would seperate at night and one bed was only a cott. The room smelled old and stale and had no personality at all. The elivator was very small and would get stuck between floors often times
On my stay I like the cleanliness of the room, the kindness of the staff. The continental breakfast is perfect.
The elevator!!! If you are not alert you will missed the floor you want to get in nor to get out. The air condition is on and off functioning. And the thing that I didn't like was when I booked a 2 double rooms, I thought the rooms will be just on the same level, but it doesn't happen.
rooms are big and comfortable. reasonably close to the metaxighorou station. breakfast is enough.
excellent locacion near the metro and the turistic bus. simple but good breakfeast.
didn't like the quality of sleep. basic beds and noisy people in the middle of the night and nobady from the hotel did nothing abaut this.
Near to transportation means.
Too much noise from others staying in the hotel
Amazing hotel owner...she was very nice and helpful Close to a stunning beach..walk 4-5 min
Was away from main cities...FirA...ia
Bathroom was small but at least clean and up to date.
Requested double bed. Got two singles pushed together. Beds had no cushioning. Felt like sleeping right on the springs. Balcony had no chairs to sit out. Noisy hallways. Far away from attractions and anything at all....be prepared to walk!! Breakfast was poor. Staff wasn't very friendly. Spend a bit more money and stay at a nicer place. This hotel needs to cut the rate in half!
Close to transit. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Poor WiFi. I had a much better connection, in my room at Apollo, to the neighbouring Crystal Hotel. The AC didn't work properly, and our entire floor blew a fuse during our first hour there. The walls are paper thin. The rooftop cafe was very noisy and blasting loud music heard from the 5th and 6th floors well into the night.
good value hotel near the center. friendly staff and is very clean
pick picketers on the metro . watch out .had wallet stolen
We liked the girl on reception, she could not have been more helpful and she was very pleasant.
We asked for a quiet room, I understand that this could be difficult in a city, however! there seemed to be some very loud music being play very near to-or above us, and some banging which seemed like some sort of maintenance going on, which was most of the evening and well into the night. we got very little sleep due to this, and we had travelled many kilometre's that day, and had a great deal of driving to do the next day also.
Great location in the centre of Athens, 4 metro stations from the Acropolis and main museums. Rooms are decent and clean and hotel was a bar/terrance in the top floor with great view to the city and Acropolis.
This is not a complain of the hotel but more rather of the noise of traffic in Athens. You can't leave your window slightly open because the traffic noise will overwhelm you! but hey, that's Athens!
