Nice and charming city, with typical architecture for cities in Greece, all buildings almost the same size and very close to each other with narrow streets and sidewalks (looks chaotic and cute at the same time). Lots of cafes and restaurants in the city center. Visited for the New Year and were surprised how everything was decorated, every street, square, tree... Do not miss the fortress and the view from there.
Sunset is great as the city is oriented to the west.
Also highly recommend to visit Archaia Olympia (where Olympic games in ancient Greece were held) which is 1.5 hours away by car.
Be careful in the traffic in the city center as it is very chaotic, during 5 days experienced several cases where cars just did not stop on a red light (when for pedestrians was green!).
Another negative side - extremely expensive fee for driving over the bridge if entering the city from north (14.7 eur per car for one direction!)

Patra is a wonderful city, bustling and peaceful at the same time. We drank very delicious Greek coffee in quite a few cafes. The castle offers a wonderful view of the city. We tasted great wines at Achaia Clauss.

Patra is the key location for any traveler who wants to mix sunbathing days with history lessons experiences. One can easily get to more than 5 beaches located nearby, all with crystal clear waters and either pebbles or sand, where sunbeds can be found. At the same time, there are multiple other historical locations that can be visited (Epidavros, Delphi, Ancient Olimpia, temple of Apollo, Micene, etc.). All the small villages along the coast offer exquisite views and interesting things may be learnt from them (see Nafpaktos and Lepanto)

Patras is worth visiting for its architecture and night life. There are some very good restaurants too, we ate in Prego in the old city and is a quirky restaurant with excellent Mediterranean dishes. Stroll around the pedestrian areas and you will be stunned by the liveliness of the city. Stop for a drink at Treli Rodia an old time favourite and speak to the owner Alexis to learn about the Patras he has experienced

Patras is the third largest city in Greece, it is a very lively place and has many young people. There are ferries to all the Ionian Islands from Patra and nearby Killini. Patras is best known for its Rio-Antirio bridge. It is a real pleasure to swim on one of the beaches near the bridge and watch the huge mountains across the road.
This was a good hotel for a one night stop during our road trip around North West Greece. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the room spacious. We had drinks in the roof top bar in the evening and the service was good. The staff were friendly and efficient. The breakfast was extensive and good quality. There was parking available in a parking lot next to the hotel at 5 euros per day. The hotel is in a good location near the port and was easy to find. We had a room with view of the port and the balcony was a good size.
Having been to Patra a number of times over the years, this was by far the best stay
Moxy Patra Marina is a sensational hotel located in one of the best spots of Patra
All within walking distance of the Marina and its amazing bars & coffee shops, as well as a short 5 min walk to the superb restaurants on the main strip
The staff and especially the girls working the front desk were amazing, providing some super useful and helpful tips during our stay
well worth the visit!
We had a pleasant stay in Patras. The hotel room was clean and well furnished. The breakfast was also not bad. The staff was polite and simpatic. The hotel is located close to the old port of Patras where you can cool down during the hot summer days and have a drink. Nice view from the room terrace to the gulf of Patras and to the mountain. The pedestrian street Riga Fereou is 2min walk from the hotel and has plenty of shops, bars, restaurants and coffees to offer.
The interior of the hotel and of the rooms is amazingly beautiful, really...very aesthetically pleasing. Everything in the room and bathroom functioned well (save the valuables safe which was not working). The shower was a bit small for me. The room lighting was attractive and subtle but I could have used maybe one brighter light at night to read by. Noise was fairly minimal, except during the day when the housekeepers were cleaning.
Over the years this beach hotel has provided time and again a very nice accommodation any time going to Patras. Have enjoyed staying there regardless of the season. The premises received a good renovation just before the Athens Games. It is time to have it once again rechecked and work on its maintenance.
The hotel has beautiful view of the sea and the bridge that connect Peloponnese and mainland. Incredible sunsets!
Friendly staff, perfect location. Several private parking lots, but you need some luck to park. Our room was clean with a comfortable bed, fridge, kattle, air conditioner, and a balcony. All facilities are in good condition. Excellent and stable wifi. Cleaning and towels changing was every day. We liked our stay in the hotel
Modern Hotel in the middle of the city. The host gave us a few tips on what to see and where to eat.
The hotel provided us with an address for a parking garage and it was very appreciated. The room was well equipped and the bed very comfortable. We had a perfect stay.
Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Food although there was not a big variety it was delicious. The coffee was excellent. Much better than any coffee I have had in hotels and in a most coffee shop's in Greece. Freddo espresso was included in the price.
I had a lovely stay in this hotel, I made a mistake with the booking dates and the issue was fixed easily with one quick phone call. The staff were very friendly and the hotel is located right in the centre of the city of Patras. I would highly recommend.
Everything was very clean and no cigarette smoke lingering around anywhere
(Which can really be a problem in Greece)
Owner was very quick to respond if something was needed.
Just a minute away from bus terminai very helpful if you have a suitcase
I really liked the very friendly and helpful staff, also the room was very taken care of, clean and comfy. It exceeded our expectations!
Everyone who visits the beautiful city of Patras should look forward to stay in this hotel!
Very pleasant and agreable hotel. Spotless and very central. Comfy bed!, something not to be taken for granted in Greece (they are too often like rocks). Excellent relation quality prize, and a very warm and welcoming staff.
The large room we received had a splendid terrasse with a view on the city center and the sea! And the hotel was right on one of the main streets of the car-free city center of Patras - fantastic location to enjoy the city.
We stopped in Patras to break up a long drive and had a fantastic stay at this hotel. Parking by the hotel was very convenient. Our room was very comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. We highly recommend.
Good hotel for an overnight stay in the heart of Patras. We had a quiet room with it’s own (large) private patio. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good.
Everything was great, hotel is located close to the city center, good selection of food for breakfast and we really liked the hotel's eco-friendly vibe.
