It was early season and therefore quieter, as not all bars and restaurants were open or were in the process of opening. However, the town has a good vibe, and there were plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. If you like a more active holiday, there are hiking trails nearby and the option to hire bikes. Nice town.
Nice town. Since we were at the end of September, it was not crowded. But the water in the sea was still pleasantly warm. There is no beautiful old town like Rethymno, but souvenir prices are a little cheaper and beach sand are whiter and finer. A place where you would like to return.

Enough to do - lots of bars, cafes and restaurants. Things close down relatively early (at least they dis when we wee there - late Stepmebr-October) - and everything is far enough from the apartment that noise didn't bother us.

I Already wrote a review about this place but it was removed by booking , the place is basically hassle and a scam pretty much everyone is trying to have you over for some amount of money , although this will probably be removed also , i guess booking dont like to much truth from people though

A small little town with a perfect beach, I love it that...
A small little town with a perfect beach, I love it that it's not a big city but still you have lots of restaurants and shops... the only thing that was missing is a place to dace or to watch live music. (Maybe I just didn't find it...)

In my opinion, the rooms on the ground floor is a vasted vacation. The location is great, in case you come with your vehicle, as we did. Two pools are a good idea, most of the time you find one of them not busy. Kids club is fine, don't forget to ask for remote controller, otherwise, you will be forced to get down the hill, and when return to the top (where the kids club is located) just to pick it up and turn air conditioner on :) WiFi is good.DrCourseIsrael

He gave me immediately a warm welcome feeling. The hotel is new and the structure is unique. It isn't a square block of stones that you see al around. The rooms and apartments are cleverly designed with a minimalistic approach of colors and furniture. Very clean and tidy, bright and spacious suite with a huge and well aquipt sun terrace. Mano's is an amazing guy who makes your holidays special. Even tho the check in was supposed to be at 15:00 pm they insisted that we go and eat breakfast because we came early and they gave us our room a lot earlier then they were supposed to. Everyone was super nice! Beautiful room, beautiful hotel, nice and warm staff, great breakfast with a lot of options. We had the BEST time!

We managed to meet Areti& Tassos and had a wonderful discussion about Crete and based on their recommendation we visit Lasithi Plateau which was magnific. Areti was very kind to allow us to stay until the afternoon as we had a late flight from heraklion.Overall , I definitely recommend to stay at Areti as the apart with sea view is very nice placed and quiet.

The food prepared Maria was good and reasonably priced. I would have eaten at the hotel more if I stayed longer. If you don't want to swim on the beach, you can swim in the hotel pools (there are 2). They wven have a pet tortoise in the garden.
