It's a decent city, just over an hour away from Athens. The seaside promenade has some good tavernas. Perhaps the best part of this town in its excellent Archaeological Museum, located near the bus station.

When we first arrived the city did not look too welcoming, but as we saw the city by night and it's nightlife it already looked and felt a lot better. It just took us 2 days to find the shopping street which was really nice and the prices where good. Great place for a short visit! The view is great from almost everywhere! It's got a castle up on the hill and a lot of great shops on the sea side. Simply walking around town and along the shores will reward you with interesting experiences.

Rooms were airy and bright, with a fabulous sea view. The beach was much larger than expected, with lovely sun loungers. The breakfast buffet (included) was exceptional! Very fabulous selection of foods, coffee's and tea's. What made the hotel so memorable was the amazing team of staff! Everyone was so very friendly and kind, going out of their way to help in any way! ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! Will return for sure!!!!!!

Chalkida is insane with the traffic.
