Nice and charming city, with typical architecture for cities in Greece, all buildings almost the same size and very close to each other with narrow streets and sidewalks (looks chaotic and cute at the same time). Lots of cafes and restaurants in the city center. Visited for the New Year and were surprised how everything was decorated, every street, square, tree... Do not miss the fortress and the view from there.
Sunset is great as the city is oriented to the west.
Also highly recommend to visit Archaia Olympia (where Olympic games in ancient Greece were held) which is 1.5 hours away by car.
Be careful in the traffic in the city center as it is very chaotic, during 5 days experienced several cases where cars just did not stop on a red light (when for pedestrians was green!).
Another negative side - extremely expensive fee for driving over the bridge if entering the city from north (14.7 eur per car for one direction!)

Patra is a wonderful city, bustling and peaceful at the same time. We drank very delicious Greek coffee in quite a few cafes. The castle offers a wonderful view of the city. We tasted great wines at Achaia Clauss.

Patra is the key location for any traveler who wants to mix sunbathing days with history lessons experiences. One can easily get to more than 5 beaches located nearby, all with crystal clear waters and either pebbles or sand, where sunbeds can be found. At the same time, there are multiple other historical locations that can be visited (Epidavros, Delphi, Ancient Olimpia, temple of Apollo, Micene, etc.). All the small villages along the coast offer exquisite views and interesting things may be learnt from them (see Nafpaktos and Lepanto)

Patras is worth visiting for its architecture and night life. There are some very good restaurants too, we ate in Prego in the old city and is a quirky restaurant with excellent Mediterranean dishes. Stroll around the pedestrian areas and you will be stunned by the liveliness of the city. Stop for a drink at Treli Rodia an old time favourite and speak to the owner Alexis to learn about the Patras he has experienced

Patras is the third largest city in Greece, it is a very lively place and has many young people. There are ferries to all the Ionian Islands from Patra and nearby Killini. Patras is best known for its Rio-Antirio bridge. It is a real pleasure to swim on one of the beaches near the bridge and watch the huge mountains across the road.
Patras Casale is located in the heart of the city, in a walking distance to almost everything. A modern property, very comfy and clean rooms, quite friendly staff, always eager to help. Rooms have excellent noise cancelling, so, despite being located in a rather vibrant and noisy neighborhood, no sound came inside, so it was very pleasant at night too. I would definitely recommend, especially for work trips.
Based in a neo-classical building in the centre of Patra, this hotel is a gem. It offers exceptional architecture, room design and comfort. The staff welcomed us warmly and took care of all our needs. We had a perfect breakfast in one of the loveliest hotel gardens. In the evening you can enjoy a drink in this lovely atmosphere.
Although the hotel is located right in the eye of the center, I must mention that it was very quiet. By foot we went everywhere that we liked. Also, the harbor is near to parking for free the car which was very convenient for me. Breakfast was more than satisfactory with a good range of variety. Orange pie mustn't be missed.
I liked the location of the apartment at the north side of Patras. It was easy to walk where I needed to go. Parking was easier to find than in the center. Everything was clean. The doors all had screens so I could keep the doors open and keep the bugs out. The Wifi worked well for my business meetings.
Beautiful hotel that was clean, spacious and had excellent air conditioning to escape the heat of Patras! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was fantastic and service was outstanding. Whilst we only stayed a night it would be fine for a longer stay and we would stay again.
This apartment is only 20 minutes walk from the University and University Hospital of Patras. It is also situated very close to the ferries.
Communication with the owner and manager was excellent.
There is also a washing machine which is always useful.
Spacious balcony.
Everything was exceptional- most western style hotel we encountered in a central city location parking, welcoming, staff professionalism and quality, breakfast, elevator, room cleanliness and comfort, modern throughout, nice walk into shopping district etc.
The room was quite nice. The hotel is a bit old-fashioned, but nice and clean. The location seemed to be good and even though the room didn't face the sea, the view of the city was lovely. We didn't stay at the hotel long enough to get the feel of it.
The hotel staff were welcoming when I arrived and provided me a great parking spot for my Motorcycle. The room was clean and very comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay here and would recommend it as a great option for a night in Patras.
The hotel is beautifully decorated, located very conveniently at the center of Patras but in a quiet street, far away from the crowds. The rooms and the bathrooms were spacious and comfortable. The staff was wonderful and very helpful.
Nice rooms with respect to the size, furnishings, bed comfort and balcony.
There is a nice view from both sides of the hotel.
Breakfast quality is good and rich. From the beach you have a great view of the amazing bridge of Patras.
Excellent staff, clean, stylish rooms and comfortable stay. We liked very much the relatively quiet location at the Patras center, at a close walk from cafes, bars, retail stores.
nice clean rooms, the location is perfect to walk around the city. parking was great, next to the hotel. forget about trying to park in Patras - what a nightmare of cars
Beautiful property. Rooms were comfy and modern. Breakfast in the garden was lovely. the staff went out of their way to be helpful. This was an outstanding hotel.
