Kavala is a great Aegean port town, not too little, not too...
Kavala is a great Aegean port town, not too little, not too big. It offers an amazing value for travelers since it has great bars, cafes and restaurants at a very reasonable price. It has something for everyone, history, culture, shopping, cuisine. There are some luxury places and some cheap (yet very good) places. In the summer also offers easily accessible beaches.

A great city!
A great city! The old town is beautiful and the views of the city are amazing! The center is easily walkable and the shops combine both big chains as well as small local shops, so everyone can find what they are looking for. There are a myriad of options for coffee or food. We had the best fish in Kavala! Lastly, the beaches were by far the best in Northern Greece, with fine sand and crystal clear waters! All in all, it is definitely worth a visit!

A beautiful city with picturesque town planning. An interesting piece of history. Variety of shops, delicious food, fresh seafood. Fresh fruits and vegetables. Every Saturday there is a large market in the city with agricultural products of producers from the region. Parking problems. Not enough parking spaces. There are only three paid parking lots in the central part. One of them is by the port, which is quite far from the city center.TsenkaBulgaria

The apartment was even better than in the photos. The host was amazing too, responding immediately and answering any and all of my questions. I inquired about a place to purchase fruits and he not only gave me a quick answer but also offered a plate full of varied local fruits. The entire experience was so positive! Our host’s motto is ‘Come as a guest & leave as a friend’ is a reality with Makis. He is a wonderful model of Greek hospitality. The apartment has everything needed for a comfortable long or short term stay. Nicely decorated and very clean. Plenty of room for a family with kids and a full kitchen to prepare meals. We highly recommend this apartment!

Ten host is ever so welcoming and they have very good advice what to see in the area and where to go. So much to do in Kavala, 6 days for us wasn’t enough. The beaches next to the property were also very good. Lovely 2 km walk by the sea of you want to go to town centre of Kavala.
