Beautiful location, especially the views from the brkfst area. We were pleasantly surprised to find a healthy and sustaining breakfast with very delicious house made bread. The staff was friendly and helpful. The property was immaculate and well located within a few min walk to the square.

We liked the location, which is hidden a bit from all the town pedestrian traffic yet close enough to walk to the center of town. Staff at breakfast was very welcoming.

The town is cute and colorful. People are real nice, like everywhere I've been in Honduras so far from Tegucigalpa to Utila to here. The town is full of steep hills.
The ruins themselves are a bit tricky to find from town, but everyone is super helpful. Booked a guide at the ruins, which was nice because I learned so much! I think if I wasn't with a fellow backpacker to split the cost, I wouldn't have gotten the guide because it's $30. Sépulturas and the tunnels were closed because of covid. Lots of red macaws eating around the entrance and flying around everywhere!
I really enjoyed Macaw Mountain bird park. I love toucans and they had a bunch of different species in their rescue center. I didn't expect to fall in love with the macaws! The place is full of red macaws in their rescue facilities and flying around. You can take photos with red, blue, and green macaws! You can feed them biscuits, too. No holding because of covid, but being surrounded by all the colorful macaws is so much fun!
A lot of these birds were kept as pets and have physical and/or mental trauma that they wouldn't survive long on their own in the wild. The ones you take photos with can't fly, some of them you can see their physical injuries but they seem as excited to see us as we were to see them. There's an area for others with molted feathers and the one loved me and kept blocking my view of the other birds. So cute, but so sad knowing how bad he must've been treated to molt so much.

very friendly local people.
very friendly local people. Staff and guides at the ruins are very good. It felt like a very safe town and we enjoyed being in the zocalo with the local people and their children in the evening. We've been to many mayan historic sites and this site is amongst the better places.

Lovely colonial town.
Lovely colonial town. Plenty to do and see - the ruins, horseback riding, zip lining, the macaw park, hot springs. We were kept well entertained! Had a great dinner at the german restaurant in town. There is also a great coffee shop called san rafael.

Let’s face it, you are only staying here to visit the ruins.
Let’s face it, you are only staying here to visit the ruins. That being said, it is a pleasant little town, emphasis on little, that has some fine restaurants and a nice museum on Central Park. Not much to see here except for the ruins, but they are spectacular, as is the on site museum. One of the best, if not the best maintained Mayan site. Well worth a visit. And you can walk anywhere in town as well as to the ruins. Go early in the morning and you will have the place to yourself.

Beautiful, and easy to navigate yourself.
Beautiful, and easy to navigate yourself. During the off season it's easier to walk around ad take pictures.
Definitely recommend taking water, bug spray, sun block and/or an umbrella, it helped me.
The entrance is pretty easy to walk through and there are always people around willing to answer questions, so you definitely can just wander around and take your time. Don't let the macaws scare you with their chatter, they caught me off guard.
The room was big with 2 double beds and a nice sized bathroom. There was a cupboard for clothes and a ceiling fan. There was air conditioning but I didn't pay for it as an extra. The location was ideal and everything in the town is walkable. Tuk tuks are cheap to get to macaw mountain and the ruinas if you don't want to walk. Plenty of food and drink options and there is even a post office nearby. We had a great time in the town .
Terramaya hotel was absolutely wonderful for our stay in Copan. The building is beautiful and the rooms were really open, clean, and comfortable. The incredible team provided excellent service. It was really nice that they offered tea and coffee and water any time. The breakfast in the beautiful garden was ample and delicious! and I loved the massage, too - definitely a must!
This hotel is very clean. The views from the balcony are gorgeous. The owner and staff are helpful and flexible. The breakfast was different each of the three days and all were tasty. Most importantly, the hotel was quiet at night and we slept well. It's just a couple blocks off the main square (and if you don't want to walk you can easily get a TukTuk).
A beautiful, quaint hotel that is family owned. The hosts couldn’t have been more helpful and generous!!! The food was amazing, along with the service!!! Our room was really nice , the bed was really comfortable and the hot water shower was a bonus!! I loved being able to share our experiences with the family!! We will definitely be back!!!
Very helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was nice. There is a coffee shop in the hotel and within their brand they have their own coffee beans. Very relaxed atmosphere, hammocks and seating areas throughout the place. The indoor garden suits the name and provides a nice vibe. Awesome colonial style Copan residence.
Extremely good value for money. Room was very basic but clean. Located a little bit out of the centre but the colectivos to/from the border leave from outside the hotel. Kitchen was well equiped with filtered water. They washed our clothes for us too! (small fee). Cold shower was refreshing.
This is probably the nicest hotel in Copan Ruinas. It has a lovely pool area with welcome cocktails. The breakfast was delicious and included in the room price. The hotel is steps from the main square and close to all the nicest restaurants. Overall it was a very comfortable stay.
The hotel is clean and comfortable and just minutes away from the center. Breakfast is good. They were very helpful with some requests I made. A good value with rooms to fit different budgets. WiFi is stable and available in the rooms. I highly recommend it.
Peaceful setting in a beautiful garden with great views.
The breakfast was amazing!! The best of our trip through Guatemala and Honduras.
Close to the central plaza, restaurants/bars and tourist shops.
Parking avainlable around the hotel.
Very clean, nice warm showers, lovely garden. The breakfast at the neighbour hotel is really nice and is beautiful. The owner gave us good info about traveling further in Honduras. Laundry service is good and done in a day!
Beautiful hotel in the city center. Very nice and helpful hotel staff. Unfortunately the hotel does not have its own restaurant, but there are many restaurants and cafés around the hotel with excellent cuisine.
Very good location in a nice little place - Copan.
Hotel has alos a very nice Tour operator; that brought from Atlantia to Copan and futher to Antigua.
I can recommend this tour operator / hotel.
This is a small boutique hotel located high on the edge of town. An easy walk to the town square. The included breakfast was adequate to get the day going. Friendly staff. The owner is on site.
Super nice hotel! The location was fantastic and the daily cleaning was really thorough. The rooms were clean and comfortable and there was a nice terrace with sun lounges. Would recommend.
The place is great, but the staff is exceptional! I cannot say enough about them. The best staff I’ve ever had at a any hotel, we would come back just for them. Thank you so much staff!!!
I loved the atmosphere and architecture in the Hotel. The food in the restaurants near by are amazing and a must try for local food and beers. Overall a great experience with the family.
Super cute hotel. Is family ran and everyone was very friendly, they gave us information about all the local places and activities to do. their breakfast was amazing!
