Zadar is a great city for a short break.
Zadar is a great city for a short break. I stayed for 4 nights which was just enough. Old town has lots of history, beautiful buildings, shops, restaurants and bars. It has a lovely waterfront promenade and a beach is walkable. Many excursions available and also a 15 minute ferry ride to the nearby island is very cheap. Taxi from airport is reasonably priced and I took bus back there for 5 euros.

A great country to visit with plenty to see and do. Croatia has been in the pipeline for a while & I’m so glad I went. Not many countries make me go back but it’s ticked so many boxes for me. Zadar is an amazing city historically, really has every century covered since Roman times, but the beaches are not so good, you have to drive outside Zadar to find a nice beach. For 1 day stay it is okay if you plan to visits Plitvice Lakes from Zadar .

The pool itself is good and there is a separate children's paddling pool. The Kolovare is a business and holiday hotel, professionally run.
