The location is excellent. Right in front of the beach. Perfect for families. We loved that the beach chairs and umbrellas came with the property (your room number matched the chair number and were available whenever you came to the beach). We loved that we could take a quick 30 second walk back to the property for an afternoon nap or lunch and simply walk back to the breach. Also, the apartment is a 1-minute walk from the downtown core. Bakery and stores are all in walking distance. Once we arrived and parked, we did not turn the car back on until we left. We have nothing bad to say about the property!

Very nice place. We had HB options. They have great vines, though! Try the Cabernet from K??? something that starts with K. Great grilled fish! Unfortunatelym the very same fish everyday, but this was "off season" and we were the "only guests". Hosts are very nice! Breakfast is ENORMOUS! Slivovica reasonable priced.

The beaches are beautiful all around Vir, so there are plenty options to choose from. The thing I was missing was some kind of that typical promenade filled with cafes and small shops where you can stroll during the evenings. What I appreciate is that the grocery stores/supermarkets are virtually everywhere,

Vir is quite tourist-centric, which has its advantages and, unfortunately, its disadvantages. The island itself is beautiful, I like the hustle and bustle (although we were in Lozice, a little further north, in a quieter part) and there are quite a few restaurants to choose from. However, the shops in the area are like the domestic (Hungarian) department stores at Christmas, no matter what time of year we went shopping: full, the lines barricaded, a minimum of 10-15 minutes waiting at the cashiers. The beaches are nice, the ones we went to were clean, although unfortunately I saw quite a few people littering... There is also the possibility of a short excursion around the red rocks on the far side of the island, the view from there is amazing. The locals were nice, but the car traffic is quite chaotic - narrow streets, everyone is in a hurry, not many people know the stop sign, etc.

Vir is a village-style resort with limited infrastructure. While there are several restaurants and cafés, the food offerings are quite repetitive—mostly chips, grilled meats, and common fish dishes, with little authentic Croatian cuisine. Most beaches are rocky, with Lanterna Beach being the only one with pleasant sandy areas in the sea. Some water activities like jet skiing and SUP are available, but rental prices are high.

Vir in Croatia is now experiencing a huge increase in tourists thanks to new better roads and exciting experiences for visitors. It is important that everyone treats nature and the local people well so that the beautiful island can be enjoyed by future generations too.

In the center of Vir is absolutely neccessary to develop...

In the center of Vir is absolutely neccessary to develop PEDESTRIAN ZONE and pavements. Restauranst are OK, however many of them prefer group of 4 and more people and couples have to wait to be seated. There are many supermarkets and bakeries. Do not expect any historical or cultural experience, Vir is more for beaches and sailing.

Really like this location.

Really like this location. Although it's an island, it's accessible by car via bridge, which makes car trips around fast and simple (e.g. Nin, Zaton, Zadar). There are lot of good restaurants around, nice, clean beaches, local shops.
