We received a lovely warm welcome from our host Miro, who was so friendly and helpful, coming to meet us directly from the bus to escort us to the apartment which was a lovely touch. He also gave excellent recommendations and local info. And was on hand for anything we needed for the duration of our stay. We would definitely stay again!

A quaint little town on the west side of Vis Island, reachable by bus. The pier is nice with great restaurants and lovey beaches nearby. Plenty of tourist agencies to organise your activities. I recommend Pizzeria Charlie in Komiza!! We went there to eat twice and the food, the staff, and the service were 10/10

Beautiful town, loved wandering the small alleys and greeting the local cats(which all looked healthy and taken care of!). Loved Lucica and Gusarica beaches right in the town and if you are up for a hike, Plaža Barjoska beach was lovely too. We didn't do any of the tours from Komiza as we were saving money, and still had a fantastic time. Enjoyed eating at Fabrika (they have plenty of Vegan and Vegetarian options) otherwise was a bit disappointed in the other restaurants. Easy to get to Vis port by bus to then catch the ferry to Split or Hvar (look out for dolphins!).

Fantastic little old town on a mysterious and stunning island of Vis. It is best for families and couples that want to chill and enjoy many small beaches, few bars and few restaurants. It is also great for nature lovers as there are many hiking opportunities, nudist beaches, biking trails, diving, and so on.

Very nice place for holiday, nice restaurants.
Very nice place for holiday, nice restaurants. I recommend lunch at Konoba Koluna. Try komiška pogača (traditional fast food dish) at Tajer. Try nice traditional wine - Plavac or Vugava. Also recommend Amesboat trip to the Biševo island and climbing to the Hum peak.

I have been going to Komiza for 20+ years of and on as a child and now with my own kids. I would highly recommend it to anyone , specially families with kids. It has great beaches. It can get crowded because it has now been discovered by the world ( Mama Mia movie ) and everyone wants to vacation here.
The only thing that bothered me was the large yats that are parked everywhere which does take away from the feeling you are in a small fishing village in Dalmatia and makes it more of a vacation "hot spot" .
At the end, the beauty of Komiza makes it all worthwhile.

We were there in early June before high season.
We were there in early June before high season. It was still quiet in comparison to mid summer according to the locals. We liked it that way!
We ate at Konoba Barba on our last night and it was delicious.
The ice cream at Charlie is delicious and the people generally are very, very friendly!
We decided at the last minute to book this apartment in Komiža, which was the best decision.
The apartment is in the city center nearby the promenade, but it´s super quiet and comfortable. It´s an older flat on the top floor but spotless, with a small equipped kitchen and air conditioning in the bedroom. You have direct access to the terrace from the bedroom through the double door and to the kitchen as well. The owner provided some briquettes for the outdoor fireplace which unfortunately we didnt use because of the strong wind that week.
Very spacious. Beautiful terrace. Quite new. Great position, parking spot, pool and trim park. If you want to explore Vis, the beaches, wineries, cities etc. - I highly recommend this.
The host was extremely pleasant, diplomatic and understanding. The whole family is very civil and friendly. Uses wapp, email and phone. Even provide additional parking spot in the nearby city of Komiza. Also, We damaged part of the parking equipment and later asked to compensate for the damage, but nothing was asked or accepted.
The owner Ana is welcoming, super friendly and always available to answer questions.
The apartment stands out with incredible design and attention to detail. The large terrace with sea view is perfect for outside dining and chilling out. Each room is spacious and filled with it’s own character. Everything was clean and tidy and you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in. Thank you Ana for making our holiday in Vis so special. We would definitely book this apartment again.
Excellent location. On the water, in the center of restaurants and shops, beaches close by in either direction, and just a 2 minute walk from the bus that travels back and forth to Vis. The apartment is large. Two big bedrooms, a living room, a large eat in kitchen and a small second kitchen. Both bedrooms have balconies overlooking the harbor. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.
The apartment is located in an alley in the centre of Komiza, on the top floor. It has a nice terrace, with fireplace. The house was very clean, and we liked the refreshments and toiletries (shampoo, soap, etc). The apartment has everything you need to cook some simple meal, lunch or breakfast. The host, Mihaela, is super quick in responding and is very helpful.
One of the most beautifully appointed rooms I ever stayed in.
We met the lady owner, and she is truly wonderful.
Hearty breakfast is included, and was great.
Now, there is no other place to stay in Komiza after staying in Koluna.
Restaurants are at the doorstep, so everything is nearby.
Spotlessly clean and neat.
Everything was great about this apartment. It is located in the city center of Komiža, close to all the stores, bars and restaurants but also just a 5 minute walk from the beach! It was clean and comfortable and the kitchen had all the necessary utensils for cooking any dish.
The location was great, the room is in the center of Komiža. The room was great with the small balcony overlooking the city. The owner Marija was the most amazing and friendly person we meet, she helped us with everything we needed and also prepared us delicious breakfast.
Great location and views over Komiza
Modern and clean apartment
Warm welcoming host ( she picked us up from the bus station and brought us back in the early morning )
Good advice and local tips
We stayed two nights and will stay longer with our next visit definitely
Lovely little apartment in central Komiza. Right in the centre and less than one minute from the sea front and restaurants. Everything we needed in apartment. Small, but perfect, terrace to sit and have coffee. We were met by the host on arrival who was very helpful.
The location is great, everything in close- the beach, downtown, facilities... Lorena, the owner, was amazing. Komiža is a beautiful costal city worth visiting over and over again, and Demaria apartment is a perfect place to stay while exploring Vis.
Great little apartment, very clean and neat, great location, in the very center of the old part of Komiža, very fast responces via messages from the host(s)
Nice small apartment with everything you need in the quiet part of Komiža and near town center and beaches. Nice and very helpful hosts. Good place to stay.
