Old Town Trogir was an old city in the Venetian style, an much smaller than Split, but with many restaurant and bar options on the waterfront. It was also only about 10 minutes from the Split airport, so it is a great place to stay the night before you leave, or if you arrive late at night.

Trogir centre is a classic old Mediterranean town with well preserved architecture which in my view rises well above its modern touristification. It is also a big marine centre. In summer though it gets choked with traffic, come by bus (or ferry from Split in summer only) if you can. There is a frequent bus service from Split and Split airport every day.

Trogir is a small town with a couple of things to see in the very center - the old town. It's small enough that you can just walk around and see everything. We ate burgers at Big Mom's - they were good.

Our stay this time was very short but we liked the atmosphere of the old town. Lots of tourists still but quieter in the evening. walking inside the old town is easy, it is so small that one cannot get totally lost, the sea always lurks at the end of some street. The main road outside the old town is now under repairs, that a litte bit cursed difficulties for walking - but a passing problem! Maybe the walking bridge - which was not in use now - will also be repaired.

I love Trogir, it was my second visit.
I love Trogir, it was my second visit. The city has all these little streets and historical buildings that are very cool to see. The town gets a bit crowded in the evenings, if you want to explore, it's better to do during the day time. There is a number of small museums but they aren't very informative or interesting, I planned two days for the sightseeing and museums but that was too much time.
That said, it's a magical experience walking those cobblestone streets having the city's long history in mind. It's obviously not at the scale of Dubrovnik or Split but it's a lot less crowded.
One of the best experiences in Croatia until now. The facility is a family business and everybody does everything possible to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The rooms very spacious, comfortable and clean. Parking available right at the location. They have a great sea view terrace where you can serve a lot of very tasty foods prepared in their kitchen. The host waited for us with welcome drinks. The beach is right in front of the Villa, where they offer free sunbeds for their customers, bar service is available also on the beach.
Palace Central Square was in the heart of Trogir with beautifully appointed accommodations. The communication was timely and clear and the welcome was warm and genuine. We felt safe, comfortable (great air conditioning!), and close to all of the restaurants (with great recommendations) and shops nearby. We had a very spacious room with a small sitting area, and large windows that, when opened, could hear the bells of the nearby St. Lawrence Cathedral - amazing! Thank you Ivan, for such a memorable experience!
Very nice accomodation with swimming pool, which was very good for our kids. I have to say it's still not very standard to have swimming polo in croatia as part of accomodation, I mean when you don't go to a hotel. Do this was very much positive. Very nice and helpful owner Ms. Nada. It wa very close to the beach, so this we were really appreciating especially with the kids after long day on the beach 😊 I really recommend this accomodation.
Five minute walk to old town centre. Lovely view across bay to town. Bakery next door, supermarket 50 metres. Comfortable bed, large dining/living room , fully equipped including dishwasher, washing machine and all basics. Apartment kept spotless. Lovely hosts. Very welcoming , speak English but very tolerant of my attempts at Croatian. Available all day for advice on trips, ferries, local restaurants etc.
I have to begin with the staff. The women that run the hotel are simply amazing, they went far and beyond to make our stay as plesent as possibe. Our room was spotless, comfy and big. The location is perfect, few minutes from the old town. The breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice and tasty. They also have a free parking. I would highly reccomend this hotel to anyone. One of ours best stay ever!
We stayed here to be close to the airport for our early flight the next day. What a treat. A very modern room in a 500 year old building right in the old town. Excellent restaurant on site, but close to all the restaurants and sites of old town. The room was comfortable quiet, excellent bedding and, important for my husband, coffee in the room. Thanks for making our last day in Croatia special.
The apartment was clean with a lovey, specious terrace overlooking the city Trogir. The house was well equipped with everything we needed for our holiday (plates, cutlery, towels etc) The hosts Dino was very helpful, friendly and accommodating. The beach nearby was also very nice with few good restaurants and the beach bar. Very convenient location if you are flying to Split Airport
The location of this apartment is superb for exploring Trogir and surrounding Croatia. We took a walking tour, a boat ride to the Blue Cave and a bus to Split.
Trogir is far quieter than Split (not party city, if that's what you want) but still has everything you want/need.
The accommodation was clean, comfortable and affordable.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The apartment was equipped with everything we needed. Also, we had a balcony with a great view. Location is really good, close to Trogir old town and the beaches. Last but not least, Mia and Marco are fantastic hosts who made our stay in Croatia even more pleasant!
This beachfront hotel is family owned and operated, and impeccably maintained. Located less than 30 minutes from must-see Trogir, it is quiet and filled with charm. Wonderful outdoor patios for breakfast and dining. Accommodating staff who made the extra effort to make us feel welcome.
Amazing and welcoming hosts, a couple, going out of their way to make us comfortable:) also, a home cooked breakfast every morning is worth a special mention - this was the best food we had throughout our trip in Croatia. The B&B is newly refurbished, very stylish and also very clean.
The staff was so friendly and helpful, they gave us advice about getting to Trogir easily. Breakfast was great, the place is very well located, just cross the street and you're at the beach with a stunning sea in front of you. Guests have a discount in the hotel's restaurant.
Great location right in the center of Trogir - walkable to everything including the bus station (10 minute ride to Split airport). Host greeted us and was extremely friendly and helped us with bus times. The room was very spacious - nice to have a separate living area.
Ivan arranged to pick us up at the airport very late at night, it was wonderful to have this service offered. The breakfast was great. Ivan and his colleagues were so helpful it made our first stay in Croatia amazing. Can't say enough about this hotel.
Definitely a 5 star boutique hostel, best in Croatia, amazingly comfortable, hotel like toilets, walk in showers, great design, very central, spotless cleanliness, with great staff. My absolute recommendation!!!!!
Super clean. We had a little garden which was super cozy. A treasure wine shop on the path down to the old city. A must stop for some authentic Croatia. Our host is a super lady. Thank you
