The staff made you feel like family and you knew if you needed anything they were right across the street.
The pub was good they also owned and the town was so quaint and restful.

The room and bathroom were clean. It was quiet, even though the pub was downstairs. The room was decorated nicely, and was bright and cheery with windows. Kildare is a quaint town and was easy to walk to different sites. Wish we would’ve been able to stay more than one night. The pub downstairs has the best fish and chips we had in Ireland.
The Rooms At Firecastle is set in Kildare's market square, overlooking St Brigid's Cathedral.

Loved the rooms and how they were decorated and the big bathroom. Nice they have a fridge and espresso machine! They brought us 2 fams for our family of 4 in the 2 king room. Only 1 window opens, no AC, so it get stuffy if it’s warm out. The manager was very nice, they are always working hard and will do anything you need to make yojr stay comfortable. My daughter left her water bottle and tennis shoes in the cafe by accident, and they were so kind to mail them back to the USA for me. Excellent staff! Coffe and food in the cafe is AMAZING!!

This is such a beautiful escape to the countryside. We stayed in pod 3 and it was spectacular for views of the beautiful barley fields. The pod is just the perfect size for 2 with a cosy queen bed, some kitchen facilities and a perfectly running shower and bathroom. We sat out and it was so peaceful even with others staying in the other 2 pods, we hardly knew they were there. Highly recommend and we will certainly be back !!
It’s located 15min drive from shops so make sure to stock up on food and drink but this isn’t a problem as it’s the type of place you want to be far away from everything

Silken Thomas is a lovely place to stay for a short visit to Kildare. It is in a great location and near to Kildare Village, Japanese Gardens and The Curragh Racing Course. I would be happy to stay there again but on arrival I would check for a bath plug and no dangerous chairs.

We loved Kildare and would recommend, unfortunately it was rather wet so restricted our walking but still enjoyed. The pubs were fabulous, very friendly people, wished it was our last port of call in Ireland instead of the first as there is a huge designer outlet complex and no room to carry all the purchases I would have liked to indulge in 🤪

Lovely town, right next to Kildare outlet.
Lovely town, right next to Kildare outlet. There’s not a lot of bars and restaurants but it’s cosy and perfect for a quite night away. We stayed in the silken Thomas and ate and drank in their adjoining restaurant the food was lovely cocktails were ok. Would definitely stay again
Hotel was lovely, staff super friendly. Originally given a room on 2nd floor but changed to 1st so it was easier for my mum. Ate in the hotel both nights, food gorgeous, as was breakfast both mornings. Fab location for shopping - Kildare Village, and Newbridge not far away either. There is parking outside the hotel. I parked at the side of the hotel and my room overlooked my car! Def recommend.
This has been our favorite place to stay since traveling. The room was beautiful. The bed was so comfortable and the first good. Ishtar sleep we had in a long time. The bathroom was huge, beautiful and had many safety features for those having wheelchairs or mobility issues. Very convenient location and a great restaurant below.
The ease and relaxed atmosphere in and around this hotel is fantastic. We stayed for 3 nights. Beds are the most comfortable I've ever slept in. The food was beautiful and the staff are so helpful, friendly and competent. Definitely stay again. 10 min walk to Kildare village shopping outlet.
Cosy, comfortable, cottage. One bedroom & bathroom upstairs and one bedroom & bathroom downstairs. Rural aspect and about 15 minutes drive from Kildare. Lovely, thoughtful owner. Look for the Fearmore sign on the property as google maps tends to take you to the house prior.
I would recommend this hotel , the location was absolutely brilliant central for everything 10 mins walk from Kildare village 10 mins walk to the train station all staff were so friendly and helpful two lovely restaurants in the hotel as well
Conveniently located on a quiet lane way off the centre of Kildare. Brilliant comfortable living area and separate bedroom. Hosts very kindly provided lots of snacks and drinks. The entire property was spotlessly clean.
Amazing rooms good as 5 star hotel
Good location. Excellent staff
V.good meal at attached restaurant
No breakfast on site but good one available at Silken Thomas restaurant across the street
Value for money +++
Austin was incredibly friendly and was so nice to make us some delicious scones for breakfast. Very nice place with a convenient location as we were on our way from Dublin to the west of Ireland

This place was perfect it has everything you need.
It's very quiet but you are still in the centre of Kildare town.
The bed was probably the must comfortable bed I have ever slept in.
