Great little bed and breakfast. The little details really made the stay. Fluffy towels, long spoons for the homemade jam, breakfast in front of the big window. Super friendly hosts. Serenaded by sheep. Walking in the bay a few minutes from the house.

So underrated, I would wholly recommend Ardara to anyone looking for friendly, kind locals in Donegal. It’s a quiet town in the middle of the west coast, perfect as a base for exploring Co. Donegal. Nancy’s Pub is great in the evenings; Sliabgh Liag Distillery is a must-visit and Eddie Doherty is a local celebrity with his weaving skills! Reasonably priced Donegal tweed products - much more affordable than the other shop in town. The Courthouse (in the Heritage Center) also does delicious breakfasts and baked goods. The only thing I’d be wary of is walking along the road - the drivers speed regardless of the time of day.

Easy to get around.
Easy to get around. Parking in free car parks or on the street.
Good base for touring Donegal.
Main hotel Nesbitt Arms are taking in Ukrainian refugees so will be closed to tourist accommodation.
The Corner House & other pubs are lively on a weekend night, so it can be noisy on the streets after hours.
Mostly good pub food available - very few restaurants.
The staff were pleasant, chatty and really helpful.
The location was excellent, our bedroom was beautifully decorated, and really comfy. Lovely attention to detail, though the bathroom was older, it was a great space and all areas were kept very clean.
We ate in the dining room, again staff were friendly and helpful. The food was beautifully done I had the tempura prawns and fish and chips- batter and fish cooked to perfection.
Really it is a very busy hotel, but you are made to feel so welcome - a credit to Ardara.
The location is just perfect a few minutes drive from Ardara. The owners surprised me with a gorgeous fruit salad breakfast & also provided cooked porridge, coffee, local bread & jams. The view from this property is just breathtaking it's definitely a hidden gem on the Wild Atlantic way! Photos don't do it justice. the owners are so friendly & made me feel so at home. I can't wait to stay at their property again & I already recommended to many friends
Excellent location on the edge of Ardara with first class facilities, spotlessly clean, bright and airy rooms, a lovely big sitting room with comfortable chairs for relaxing in, super breakfast cooked to order, lovely staff and Auntie B is an amazing and interesting person. very welcoming and friendly. Good, free WiFi everywhere, and plenty of room for parking. Overall a great experience and we will certainly be back soon.
The accommodation is extremely central with free on street parking. Aileen welcomed us to our lovely, clean homely room. We had full use of the kitchen facilities which included a coffee machine, kettle, fridge etc. Lots of food items were also given to us to enjoy over the course of our stay. The generosity and extra little touches meant a lot. We will 100% be back for another visit in the future.
Very cosy and clean room with a perfect bed, it seemed to sleep in 5 stars hotel for the quality of the sheets and materasso! We had a private bathroom right in front of the room but it didn’t disturb us at all, it was for our use only. A lovely breakfast with a homemade pancakes and a beautiful view completed a very pleasant experience we had in this B&B! Both owners are very friendly )
beautifully kept. the host was exceptional even going so far as to leave a few groceries to get us through breakfast in case we didn’t have time to shop before we got there. I found it to be really thoughtful and indicative of the overall experience. We really wished we could have cancelled the next hotel and stayed longer. we will definitely stay again when we go back that way.
Woodhill House is located just ‘outside’ of the town Adara. Our drive was 3 min into town for dinner. We were there in late winter/early spring. I’m sure the gardens are beautiful later in the season and into summer.
Our host John gave us several ideas for our adventures and was so friendly and welcoming.
A very well equipped modern kitchen and well stocked fridge and freezer. All essentials, bread, milk, cereal, eggs. etc.for a nice breakfast. Small but adequate twin bedroom No3 with ensuite c/w shower,WC & WHB, gel & shampoo provided. In a perfect location for all Ardara has to offer.
The hotel is located right in the center of town. Thomas, the proprietor, was so kind and helpful. He even brought our son’s wet laundry to his home to dry it for us before we checked out! The self-serve breakfast was so plentiful! We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay.
Ideal location in a quiet village of Ardara.
Lots of local knowledge and recommendations of places to eat and visit around the area.
Breakfast was thoroughly enjoyed. Between us, we had a full Irish breakfast and porridge with fruit, which was a delight!
Great little bed and breakfast. The little details really made the stay. Fluffy towels, long spoons for the homemade jam, breakfast in front of the big window. Super friendly hosts. Serenaded by sheep. Walking in the bay a few minutes from the house.
This little house was fantastic. There was everything you want in this house. It was beautifully decorated and felt so homey. The owners went over and above in providing kitchen facilities and even special baked goods on our arrival.
Auntie B was warm and welcoming. the location was good for us, the room snd bath were exceptionally clean, and the Irish breakfast at no extra charge was excellent. we appreciate the value of this accommodation!
Great location. Few minutes drive from Ardara town, as we were there for Cup an tae festival in the town. House was perfect for us, 2 adults 2 kids. Nice little touches in kids room such as toys/games.
Beautiful home in quiet surroundings, but close to Ardara. The host family was lovely, made us feel at home right away. Delicious breakfast! One of the best bed and breakfast’s we’ve ever stayed at.
Irene was a great host: warm, friendly, accommodating. Breakfast was excellent. Very clean house, so immaculate that guests are asked to remove shoes upon entering. Rooms were well stocked.
