Everything about the stay was wonderful. Yep the scones were beautifully homemade as was the wonderful breakfast. We even enjoyed a ride to and from the local pub. Out of the park hospitality. Highly recommended if in the vicinity!

Nice location proximate to the Wicklow Mountains, where we enjoyed hiking. Our hosts were very helpful and accommodated our preference to change rooms at check in. While staying here, we accessed hikes at Glendalough and Lugnaquilla - very scenic! The lodging is part of a working farm and we were delighted to see the new lambs in the adjacent fields. Breakfast was very good with French press coffee and a full traditional Irish breakfast among the options.

Wonderful host in great location, about a 40 min walk through the beautiful first trail (well-paved) to the ruins of Glendalough Cathedral. Lovely accommodations- my room had the most beautiful skylight w a blind. Windows open for a comfortable night’s sleep in this quiet village

We liked the fact that the Rathdrum was situated in a nice quiet even remote area of Wicklow but yet not far from Wicklow town. The hosts were nice, very helpful and the breakfast was ample. I cannot comment on the main house we were only in the breakfast room as we were in the log cabin at the rear. I would recommend the Rathdrum for a nice quiet stay in the countryside.

Lovely village community, but nothing in the village to do.
Lovely village community, but nothing in the village to do. It's an area where you need your own transport to get around efficiently. Also traffic in village chaotic and parking in the village is inadequate. Nevertheless it is still a nice area to stay in and visit. We do hope to go back in the near future.

From the minute we arrived at the gate to the property, Francis appeared with her smiling face and welcomed us to Meadowbrook. It was lovely to get such a personal welcome while following all social distance guidelines..Francis had thought of everything to make the stay as comfortable as possible. The personalized welcome note and chocolates were a lovely surprise. The property is in a perfect location for exploring the wonderful Wicklow scenery and Francis was very helpful with directions .The homemade treats delivered to the doorstep were a big treat, especially after a long day sightseeing. The families 2 dogs are friendly and very quiet and add to the homely atmosphere of the property.I hope to return to Meadowbrook and stay a little longer next time..
If there were awards for Hostess 's Francis would win First Prize for her hospitality and property.

Fairly centrally located for visiting historical attractions, or the coast. Not a big choice in eating establishments, but what they had was good. Would highly recommend “Bates” restaurant, down a charming alley. Sadly, “Avondale House”, a local attraction was closed for renovations. Do visit Glendalough!

Rathdrum is a great place to have a great time outdoors,...
Rathdrum is a great place to have a great time outdoors, with a multitude of popular outdoor sites (hikes, walks, lakes and forest trails). Unlike Glendalough, which seemed quite crowded and touristy on the long weekend, Rathdrum, situated just 15 km away, was peaceful (without being lonely). We encountered a number of cyclists on the road between Rathdrum and Glendalough, which reveals its popularity. An added bonus for us was the accessibility by train, although there are only 3 daily train services to/from Dublin on holidays, and the one we took on our way there was quite crowded - we were lucky to get a seat, while many others were not.
Fantastic accommodation.... Shelley was so welcoming and friendly....the room was spotless and so comfortable, but the best thing about our stay just had to be the breakfast, cooked to order, freshly percoulated coffee, everything piping hot...top marks for an excellent stay, we would highly recommend The Glenbeg Lodge to anyone looking for great value accommodation in Rathdrum...we will definitely stay again when we next visit the area
Overall we did have a great time, the caravan is well stocked and both a firepit and BBQ are provided. The caravan was clean and all linen towels provided. It was also private with your own space which was great. The amenities are also well stocked and free tea and coffee was great addition. The staff where so friendly and really eager to help! Great location to explore Wicklow and the overall setting is lovely!
Everything! Super location for exploring the beautiful county of Wicklow. It has to be said though that our host Ann is an absolute gem! Lovely clean snug apartment with loads of nice breakfast items at our disposal. The brown bread and scones went down a treat. We even got a piece of the hubby's birthday cake! I would highly recommend a stay at Lettermore and will most certainly return here again.
The location of the B&B is in the town of Rathdrum. Many movies have been filmed here and its location to many historically sites are very easy to drive to. The property on a busy small street can full you because of the courtesy of the all the drivers. The B&B secrete is in the rear gardens, trees and ponds. Plenty of places to eat and drink in town also.
Smalll but superbly equipped and well- designed studio in owner’s garden. Fantastic array of food provided for breakfast/ snacks and scones appeared in the afternoon! Very clean and well- maintained. Everything you needed was there. Frances was pleasant and helpful with local information.
Ideal location for exploring the Wicklow Mountains area.
Tom was friendly and helpful on our arrival, giving us a quick tour of the apartment. The location was good with lots to do in the local area and a good sized shop located just down the road in Rathdrum. It was an excellent base to climb Lugnaquilla (the highest peak in the Wicklow mountains).
Very friendly people! The room was little, but we had no problems with that. The Irish breakfast (included in the price) was the best we had in Ireland. The location in the vicinity of Glendalough and the Wicklow Mountains makes this a perfect stop in the direction of Kilkenny.
Tom greeted us and sized us up in the five minutes during check in. Rayworth siblings traveling through Europe.
Tom accommodated our need for breakfast at 0700, and I'm grateful. Beautiful property in late Spring time!!
Dinner at Jacobs Well Hotel was fantastic!!
Anne was an excellent host, gave good advice on where to go, had good maps of Wicklow park, the breakfasts were generous and well prepared in a lovely room for around 10 guests. The here was also a lounge area.👏🤗
Welcome friendly and genuine; Room beautifully appointed; Breakfast tasty and plentiful. Location so handy for major Wicklow sights. Whole experience exceeded expectations! Many thanks to Daphne.
Spotless, comfortable, modern apartment. Ann couldn't have been more helpful and obliging. Lovely treats left on arrival. Great location, quiet but central to alot of Wicklows scenic walks etc.
Very friendly hostess, delicious breakfast, pretty easy street parking nearby, great value for a comfortable room, and only a 15 minute drive to Glendalough. Would definitely stay here again!
We loved the location and getting to see a bit of the real Ireland. The apartment was incredible and the apartment was so big. I only wish we had more time to spend there.
Check-in process was very smooth, very friendly staff and perfect location for exploring Wicklow area. We had tasty breakfast and overall it was a nice stay.
Perfectly located to explore Wicklow. Despite being just off the road our room was quiet and our stay refreshing. Breakfasts were delicious and plentiful.
