The entire property at Kalidasa is beautifully maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was great about it. Few points that exceptionally stand out are - - Home made food offered - breakfast and dinner are as fresh and delicious as it gets. We absolutely loved the poori, kurma, appam, drum stick, jackfruit based other traditional dishes made to the perfection. - Cleanliness is top notch. The room and bathroom were spotless. The rest of the property is also very clean, felt like a 4 star property. - Ambience of the place - tranquil, beautiful, sufficiently connected with nature, with all the required comfort. The hammock is peace and coziness. Sitting in balcony gazing out at the nature while sipping your tailor made tea was bliss. We could take several walks around the area, it was fun and adventurous. - Hosting family - extremely warm and service oriented. I am very thankful to them for welcoming us and taking such good care of us. Our every request was met enthusiastically and no fuss. For ex. When asked for hot water to drink in the morning, Mr Sudheesh happily provided spices infused hot water which was quite therapeutic. - Pet support - Very friendly and supportive towards our adorable pet. We reached the resort on our own (self-driven), a little behind schedule. We were greeted by the GM (Mr. Ratheesh Nair). They were expecting us. The check-in procedure was a breeze and was expedited by the Front Office Manager (Ms. Shalini). The staff was very helpful and went out of their way to be of assistance. Room: The room was well appointed and the airconditioning, linen, toiletries, and mini-bar were well equipped. F&B: The buffet meals were well placed. However, the menu was the typical "pan-Indian" one. We were looking for typical Kerala cuisine, so we restricted ourselves to "a la carte". the staff gave us good advice on what combinations, and portions to order, and to put it in one word the food was "outstanding". Activities: Mr. Ratheesh and Ms. Shalini gave us good advice regarding the timings and what trips to take and that came in very handy in deciding the trips to take. Housekeeping: The housekeeping was efficient and the rooms were kept nice, clean, and well-equipped. Indoor Activities: The pool table, badminton court, and board games were maintained very well.

The owner was very helpful and friendly. He organised a driver for us and made sure our check in process was easy. Apartment is great, has everything that you need. One piece of feedback we have is that the apartment is super hot in the evening and we didn't want to open the windows due to the mosquitos so it would be even better if the windows had mosquito screens. There is only AC in the bedroom and a couple of fans in the living area. The apartment is away from everything and is surrounded by trees. The owner organised a rickshaw for us to go to the supermarket and back as there are no restuarants within walking distance. He did also offer home cooked meals though. I would definitely recommend having a car available if you book this place. There are lots of places to sightsee that are close to. We spent 4 days exploring around the area.
