For a great hotel like Hyatt, the stay was good and comfortable, but the service leaves much to be desired. When i first booked the hotel through booking.com through an existing credit card stored in booking.com, the card was rejected several times by the hotel. I then changed to second card and still was rejected. I called up my bank and they verified there was nothing wrong with my card with no past attempts charged to the card. I had to email the hotel directly over several emails before they finally could charge to my card. Upon arrival, the wifi was not working due to setting a wront last name for my room and the phone was also not working. When checking in , the front desk told me the breakfast was R930 but was charged a much higher rate when i paid at the restaurant. I asked them why, and they said i had to prepay for the breakfast during checking-in which the front desk did not state upfront. After much haggling to their manager on duty, she decided to give us a free breakfast the next day. But the most upsetting thing was where was booking.,com in all of these??? When i reserve through booking.com, there is no reason to have to deal with the hotel directly to sort out this mess. I tried to reach booking.com’s customer service and they have done a wonderful job in making it so well hidden away and so difficult to reach their customer service. They only replied days later to say that there shouldn’t be any problem with my first card as i have used it many times before. This experience led me to look at other websites eg hyatt’s own website and realised booking.com is not any cheaper. Rest assured i will be using less of booking and trying out new avenues.

We visited Chennai for Medical purpose and found there's language problem. The outo rikshaw driver/ Shop keeper do not understand Hindi as well as English, they only understand local language, felt very uncomfortable communication with them. For medical purpose Chennai is good and for others I totally disliked.

I believe India's fourth largest populous city, so it's huge. Liked the Tuk Tuk rides in crazy city traffic. The museums were good plus amazing Hindu temples. The general vibe of a large Indian city. Felt always safe.

Must visit. People are warm. Culture is open ended. Malls especially amba is my all time favourite. Had food from mainly vegetarian restaurants. I would avoid taking taxi next time as public transport is still perfect in chennai. Getting around in taxi and auto is faster in this city. You can take a walk even in the night as people are respectful towards fellow human beings.

Beautiful place and nice people, though it was said, they only talk in Tamil, I found it incorrect coming from North India, they helped, in trains, taxi, Ola etc. Nice food. Good beaches, very good traveling measures, nice places around Chennai too.
Only it was hot for me...

Chennai is a surprisingly modern city in that its facilities and modes of transport are smooth and seamless. The metro is very convenient. The residents of Chennai, especially at their professions, have a pleasant professionalism and competence. While Chennai is warm, it isn't uncomfortably so.

Chennai is a huge, noisy, dirty city with horrendous traffic and very few tourist attractions. We only stayed there for a night at each end of our trip as we flew into and out of Chennai airport. I wouldn't bother spending any more time there than is necessary for transit to be honest.
Though it's in prime location, the hotel resides in a heritage building. It's gives a peaceful time. It has direct buses to central railway station. The chennai metro(Estate) shop is in walk-able distance. It's possible to have a early morning walk in city's busiest mount road in silence. The 32B series city buses to Vivekananda House is a terminal stop & marina beach starts there. If you have a evening walk in the main road, plenty of non-veg restaurants available to every budget.
I have stayed at dozens of hotels in Chennai 5*. This was on the top of the list of best stays/experiences ever. Staff was very hospitable and there for every need of mine. I found the Ramada Plaza to be clean, inviting and downright classic! The staff was very friendly and consistently making sure I was comfortable by upgrading my room by night customer service in charge.I missed her name. I will definitely stay there when I come back! Thank you so much.
The staff and the location. Everyone in the hotel was very warm and respectful, specially one of the staff Akila was very friendly with our 1 year old and made our stay even more pleasant. The hotel is located right at the heart of the shopping district. The food was very good, and that was the only place my 1 years old was able to eat without any issues through the 5 days we stayed in Chennai
I was recommended this hotel by my friend, who lives 2 homes down. I was in Chennai for a quick 2 day visit and wanted something in TNagar. I would really call this more a service apt meets hotel. What I liked
- well styled room with a comfy bed
- good washroom with an incredible rain shower
- very clean (maybe because it was also very new)
- professional staff
The hotel is located in the prime hub of Chennai and can be accessed from all places of the city with ease. Stayed for very short period due to travel restrictions but we had a very good time at this place. Front desk staff puja ensured that we had a express check in and check out and we were accommodated ahead of the official check in time with a very nominal fee
The location was good. Upgraded to the Royal suite package. Enjoyed the clubroom access. Return airport transfer was included. The service was excellent. We were assisted by a dedicated hotel staff member at the airport with check-in. Did not have to touch our luggage. We felt like so spoilt. Would highly recommend hotel when staying in Chennai.
i arrived early in morning at Chennai. I asked the staff whether I can have early check in by whatsapp, he gave kind response back.
Even though it took time to check in, I could sleep in another room great that i strated my journey from this hotel
The hotel service is quite good or better than any other luxurious hotel in Chennai .The quality of food and the ambience is a bit impressed not that great. However, the people are very warm and very helpful with services especially Ms. Pratibha .
Fantastic Hotel was seen ever in Chennai.. ❤.. Especially They're Service was So Good and calm wit wow Rooms wit Lighting ✨ And Affordable price..❤✨ One's Again Thank you The GREENS SUITE and Service People's ✨ I Loved it❤✨
The hotel is very good. At a quiet location with decent places to eat nearby. It is far from city centre, but if you have work anywhere near ECR or OMR this is the place to be. The place is also not far from the beach.
It's a very old hotel and I booked seeing they had refurbished recently. We booked a suite room and I must say we did have a great time. A perfect spot for Wedding Shoppers and great options nearby.
This is the perfect hotel for a weekend getaway in Chennai . The downtown area on Main Street is a best kept secret and the G silver offers everything you need if you don’t feel like venturing out.
I have stayed at dozen of hotels in Chennai. This was on the top of the list of best stays/experiences ever. Staff was very hospitable and there for every need of mine. Thank you so much.
Hotel is located in good place. Nearby places like ECR & Mahabalipuram. Room was clean and big, Room service was really quick and helpful. Would sure recommend.
the great advantage of this hotel is the close proximity to Chennai International Airport. courteous staff, wide variety of food, cleanliness and what not.
Located on OMR, so close by to Mahabalipuram and not very far from the city. ECR and the beaches are near by as well. The staff were helpful and friendly.
