The location is perfect within Shimla main town. The Ridge, Mall Street, and Christ Church are at your doorstep. There is a beautiful view from the hotel and nice balcony and an enclosed terrace area to see it from. The rooms are basic but comfortable. Bathrooms are clean and everything works well. Beautiful city and amazing to see the British side of things. 2-3 days is max to stay in Shimla. Lots of places to choose from to eat and drink. Beware of the monkeys on the street specially if you are holding food. The train track and the Viceregal lodge was my favourite and being a Christian the two church was beautiful to see and still being used.

Victory Hotel walkway to The Mall is an uneven path behind the building past what appears to be a derelict building up numerous uneven steps. Unsafe after dark

We were quite shocked at how busy Shimla has become and how polluted the atmosphere is now compared to 27 years ago. The Himalayas were barely visible and had very little snow which for December we thought was unusual
It’s still a beautiful part of India but perhaps December isn’t the best time to visit as they have a winter festival which attracts people from all over India hoping for snow …..there was none.
We found lots of excellent places to eat where you could enjoy some fabulous sunsets
We climbed to monkey temple taking one of the old routes which was very picturesque and we avoided the crowds
The Viceroys Palace was a bit of a disappointment as there was a 4 hour wait for a guided tour Thankfully we’d asked our driver to wait for us so we enjoyed a walk round the gardens but didn’t wait to go inside
You can see plenty of monkeys but need to be very vigilant as they were steal from you many people were getting to close and having their phones snatched. There is a large population of stray dogs which was new to us. They are in good condition and fed by the local residents who encourage the dogs as they keep the monkeys away

Very beautiful HIll Station. People are very good.
Very beautiful HIll Station. People are very good. Food is awesome. Cold is just perfect for people from West and South India. A bit crowded during weekends, parking is an issue. Use lifts where ever available as we are not used to climbing uphills and walkign so much when coming from other regions. Wear good shoes as there is lot of walking. Jhaku Temple rope way is approx 500 per person for two ways ride. Mall road is expensive but stuff is good. Kufri and Mashobra are amazing too.
Amazing location, just a 5 min walk from Mall Road.
More than amazing staff, did everything to make the guests feel at home. Special kudos to managers Saumya and Arbaaz, and the other staff members Rana for his stories, Ankit for his vast knowledge of the area, and Ajay for his hilarious antics and awesome chai.
The beds were comfortable, the guests were friendly, what more can you ask for?
If I'm in Shimla next time, you'll see me at The Hosteller!
it’s a property with a scenic view. It’s right on the Mall Road so it’s a no car zone. Whole Shimla has parking issues and the available parking space is very expensive. I have a baby and the staff was kind enough to sterilise my baby’s bottles. Breakfast buffet was really good and the hotel’s restaurant was also nice but little expensive. One interesting thing I saw in their room menu was baby food like porridge and all, that was very thoughtful.
The staff was very cooperative and not looking for tips.
Rooms had great view. The washrooms were very clean. The children play area was very nice, however, outdoor swings could not be accessed at out visit time as some renovation was going on. The hotel is far from Shimla (17 km away) with some very steep inclines. One need to be perfect driver to navigate those u-pin curves. But we enjoyed our stay very much.
Best place to stay in shimla, it is just 15-20 mints away from mall road. There is a common garden from where view of whole valley is visible, rooms are big and clean, staff is very friendly. 5 minutes steep
off-roading is required to reach hotel which will be difficult for most of the drivers but if u call hotel they will provide you their own driver free of cost
The view was excellent from the room as snow carpets laying on the roofs of the houses.....Room shower was amazing (geyser is working excellent)...There is no shortage of Hot water .....The other thing is that it's on the mall road near kalibari temple (good connectivity with mall road) and Whenever there is chance of snowfall than you can enjoy enormously there☃️
One of the best stay of my life. We enjoyed a lot.The best thing from this hotel is you can explore mall road anytime. Even you can go by walking also. Location is also nice. Rooms are excellent and services are also good. Staff behaviour is very familiar. Hotel is also in main road. Overall good experience. Must visit again. Thanks shimla for good memories.
Quiet and peaceful location. Not far from Shimla mall road but still away from traffic and hustle bustle. Everything food, location, rooms were great. Moreover rates were very much low as compared to other hotels nearby. Special thanks to Shantam for making our stay memorable he is local from Shimla and will guide you throughout your stay.
Staff was friendly. Food was good enough for a hotel.
If you’re looking for well maintained room and here in Shimla for a stay with young people . This is exactly where you should stay but not recommended for old people as the location is little off.
TIP- Always go to mall road from 5th floor and not ground floor and never use MAPS.
I stayed here with my family,My overall experience is awesome wingait inn is well located just walking distance to mall road, the railway station is only 800 mm from hotel,Overall hotel management and staff are very good.
Thanks to the wingait inn for making my shimla tour memorable in my life.
Excellent Hotel. An absolute gem. Good and prompt staff. Located about 10-15 mins from Mall Road. Ideal for families. it has a great rooftop restaurant with fantastic panoramic views. good breakfast items. Rooms are well appointed. Would advise to book atleast club rooms to enjoy views from balcony
It is a shortish uphill walk from the station. I recommend you pay 100r to porter to carry your bag to hotel I wish I had. It was convenient for getting up to Mall Road. We paid for the room with a view which was well worth the extra as the view is spectacular.
Visited twice during 28th Nov 23 to 15th Dec 23 for work. Definitely recommend the hotel. Rated highly like a 5 on food, cleanliness, accessibility to Mall Road, service, in house chocolates from their patesseri and Mountain View from their rooms with balcony.
Location of hotel is good. Near to Railway Station and near to Mall Road. I stayed in family suit and it was awesome. My son liked the bed a lot, which was actually a bunk bed. View from all rooms is a natural scenery.
Staff was good and well behaving.
The valley view rooms are the best rooms, the others don't have a view. As I was on a business trip, commuting around is very easy and Mall road is near.
The food is good and staff is helpful.
Liked this property.
Rooms were apt clean. The morning breakfast was delicious. And the staff was polite.the view was spectacular as the location was good (15km from mall road, will recommend to book hotel above shimla).
There was nothing which can be liked. Highly over rated given by booking.com to this hotel. Location is very dark and unsafe for family. Very far from main shimla mall road.
Enjoyed my stay at this Hotel. Easy access to Mall road and location is beautiful. Specially the view was mesmerizing from the Room.
Will definitely visit again.
Thank You
Located very close to mall road, easily accessible from the main road & Mall road. They have nice valley view rooms with sunny side facing. Breakfast buffet was great
