It’s a great place for a relaxing stay. Hawaiian style welcome and Private beach are the highlights. There is lifeguard and so you can dread into water. After the beach activity as you enter the property there are showers installed and so you can clean yourself and go to your room. Rooms are like villas built like old traditional houses in kerala, that’s cool. Service, their evening tea and snacks, dinner and breakfast was awesome
Featuring a swimming pool, a restaurant that serves Indian, local and continental delights, Flamingo Boutique Hotel & Ayurvedic spa is located 820 feet from the Marari Beach.

The property is very well maintained, immersed in nature and calm.
The staff is very very friendly and helpful, they made our stay super comfortable.
The connection to the beach goes through a little canal and is reachable by canoe. It's very nice around the sunset.
The restaurant food is also very good and offers local cuisine. Super recommended!

Staff was amazing! Especailly Nadeem and Sanju! They helped us get cabs, book backwater kaya, and shikara trips around the area. They were super accomodating for all the needs for our large 12 person party. We could ask them for off the menu food and they would purchase it from the local fish market so we could have all sorts of amazing dishes since we'd tried everything on the menu. They let us buy beer and keep it in the fridge since they don't have a liquor license. The staff is the heart of the operation and will ensure you have a fantastic stay.
The facility itself was located right on the beach with nice hammocks and a pool. Besides the pool, beach, and pool there's not too much to do, so be ready to just relax and read a book or go on local excursions.

I greatly enjoyed my time at Angels Homestay. The owner, Edward is very kind, attentive, and helpful. The local women who work there are kind, clean, and make yummy food. It is a short walk to the beach. The property is lovely with a big open area. The accommodations are simple, but clean. Thank you Edward for a truly WONDERFUL stay :)

Very small sleepy village perfect for a remote escape.
Very small sleepy village perfect for a remote escape. Unspoiled beach and nature with friendly inhabitants. A total escape. It is not a tourist spot but a quiet escape.
The remoteness means little amenities like restaurants and shops. Come prepared with some snacks and supplies. A large resort hotel and some smaller ones, along with homestay, but little else for the independent traveller

Great area - a little away from the hustle & bustle of other areas so it is quieter. The beach is beautiful, clean & quiet. Easy to get transport to other areas for more activity - close to backwater tours etc.
Only limitation is perhaps lack of eating out options within walking area, best to have hotel with restaurant otherwise will need to travel by tuk tuk or taxi.

The resort was a little too far away from the beach and the beach had no chairs, shade or umbrellas making it very difficult to stay very long. The surrounding area was not good to stroll around. The massage treatments are a 10 minute tuk tuk ride away and are quite expensive for India £34. We have been paying £15 previously.

I like very much all areas of Mararikulam, I think it is cleaner than other places. The beach is amazing and magical, people are very kind. it is a paradise on earth, unfortunately, my resort needs some restoration, especially rooms, and the swimming pool. Nature is really enchanting
I was in Seclude Marari sand resort, potentially the best part of the beach but the resort needs some work. It is quite expensive for the services it offers

Every day was special, a smile from our lovely housekeeper, restaurant staff went out of their way to keep our tea cups filled with a huge smile. Second holiday at Marari and looking forward to the next one. Lovely big room, nothing a problem. Thanks Marari
This place was so peaceful, the staff were very helpful and welcoming. It was new years eve and we were even invited out for a drink with the owners and staff, it had a real family feeling to it. The room was super comfortable and the garden is very pretty, there are also cute cats and cows to make friends with. Marari Beach was a nice walking distance away and a beautiful beach with lots going on. Its a quiet but convenient base to explore the area from. We'd definitely recommend to friends and others alike.
This is a real gem! The most amazing homestay we've ever stayed in! Reena (the owner) is the kindest person we met during our trip to India. Room itself is very clean and equipped with all you need, terrace area is decorated with indian touch. Food is amazing, Reena can do magic in kitchen (try her dosa). Very close to the Marari beach, just 2 minutes walking, shops and restaurants are also nearby. I would definitely stay there again or even move there. :)
We LOVED this homestay. It was in a gorgeous location just a 1 min walk from a stunning quiet beach. If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of Allappey, relax and go for a swim then this is the place to be. The WiFi was top notch and we could even log into our netflix account on the TV. The staff were incredibly helpful and they provided the most delicious evening meal and breakfast. We just loved it here and I can't recommend it enough.
Amazing hospitality. The family who run this homestay are so friendly. The homestay is short walk from the beach (go there for sunset!). We booked a budget room but it certainly didn't feel like it was! The room and bathroom were spotless and we had a sitting area outside in the garden. Breakfast was delicious and the dinner was even better (probably the best meal we had in Kerala). Much recommended, and great value for the price.
It is a family owned accommodation. Amazing spot! The beach is just out the door. Food options were delicious. Seafood experts!
The beach is clean and the ocean is soo warm! There are sunbeds and hammocks.
The room was spacious and the AC was perfectly working for a good night's sleep.
They even take the time to set up the restaurant a few meters off the ocean to watch sunset and enjoy the waves.
Thank you!
Nice homestay located just a few steps to the beach. This is a new homestay with spacious and clean rooms, a very large toilet and a comfortable dining area. Excellent homemade food. We enjoyed a delicious Kerala sadya. The host family is so kind, helpful and polite. The host Sebastian is very friendly and owns a Tuk-Tuk. So I could travel easily at affordable rates. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy.
Very close to the beach, quiet area and lots of green around. The host was very kind and offered some fresh papaya when I arrived, when I mentioned I had to do some video calls he arranged some delicious food would be available for after I finished (for a reasonable price). I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for an affordable stay in a beautiful area and near the beach 🙂
The food was really good.
The behaviour of the staff was good.
The rooms were clean.
There was an outdoor seating space which was really good.
Even though the rooms are built in a heritage way, the bathroom is modern.
Chethy beach and marari beach are nearby. The former one is quiet and calm while the latter is crowded with nearby shops. This gives me a choice.
Overall I enjoyed the stay.
This place is amazing! We had the whole place to ourselves, 3 AC, ensuite bedrooms, a living room area, kitchen, amazing balcony, garden and just 2 mins walk from the beach.
There is a small shop a few seconds away for essentials but it's quiet and private and tropical. The host is so kind and helpful and we had all the help and advice we needed. I'd recommend to anyone!!
Fantastic old house converted into a small hotel. It felt really comfortable and welcoming. Nice pool area and great food. Lovely bedroom with a very comfortable four poster bed. Beer and wine are available, and the guys went especially to get tonic water for me! We loved the short canoe journey to the beach where we spotted a tree full of kingfishers - a glorious sight.
Pradeep and his family were extremely friendly and hospitable and made us feel comfortable quickly. They cooked good dinner veg kerala style for us and setup a beach umbrella for us everyday. The room is functional with a good size and cooling AC. The beach is approx 100 m walk. Best for an uncomplicated simple beach holiday with friendly local family homestay flavour.
Traditional Kerala Breakfast was superb , Both veg and non veg luch and dinner available with reasonable cost.Homestay was really designed for homestay lovers .Here you couldnt get any facilities like hotels .The most memorable part of the stay was FOOD👍
Absolutely beautiful Marari Beach Bungalow, truly museum worthy and every corner is work of art, 5 mintue walking distance to beautiful quiet Beach, Marari Beach Bungalow is best place to stay, bycle is available and yoga class was amazing
Such a nice place to be in Mararikulam! Rooms were spacious and clean, the owners very friendly and helpful. They arranged a boat trip or a very nice ajurvedic massage for us. Also meals were delicious and the portions very generous!
Beautiful facilities within hotel and set on a beach where it was possible to swim and go for long leisurely walks. Good choice at breakfast and other meals. Very helpful and friendly staff.
Mary was the sweetest host, cooked excellent food, and the rooms were clean and in great order. Overall, great value for money. The beach is just a short walk away.
The place is just a few steps from Mararikulam South beach, a very calm and peaceful beach with white sands, some fishing boats and perfect conditions for swimming
