The city has high air pollution.
The city has high air pollution. It is the gateway to all the prominent northeast locations. Not a city worth taking a long halt. Two nights are decent enough the leave for shillong or Nagaland. Take a tour to Brahmaputra river front.

A very lively and bustling city.
A very lively and bustling city. Not too crowded like other Indian cities, with a population of around 1.50 million. Friendly people, good mobility options, some very picturesque locations within a range of 40 kms from the city. And, did not find too many beggars on the streets. Sensible driving . Most FoBs have escalator facilities motivating pedestrians to use the foot over bridges. Something other bigger cities need to emulate.
Drove around 500 kms in Assam. Was amazed to find most towns and villages garbage free.

Guwahati is a bit crowded city located in north east India.
Guwahati is a bit crowded city located in north east India. The main town of north east India. The connection with rest of India is preety good. An international airport (LGBI Airport), Two railway stations (Guwahati and Kamakhya) and a Bus Terminus. Construction works are preety slow. Travelling through the cuty might be bit time consuming becouse of slow buses. But in recent times, this has improved a lot. For rest if India, Guwahati might appear to be bit slow but the hospitality and honesty of local people can win hearts of many people. So do visit Guwahati if possible.

Best city in North East India for tourism (River cruise, rope way, hill safari), family and friends events celebrating; international conferences; excellent resorts for getaway experience including honeymooners, senior couples, adventure seeking groups base camp for exploring rivers, hills, wildlife sanctuaries…
This is a fraud hotel. There's no such hotel available. Non of the contact listed (generic numbers) is also reachable. Even the provided map location doesn't exist. They run the fraud by waiting till last hour so that customer can no longer cancel due to point of no return time, and then attempting to forcedly charging customers. There are plenty of such fraud rings running on Oyo and Booking.com. Beware of such frauds. Seems booking.com isn't able to curb such frauds running their rings.
The homestay is well maintained and clean, garden on terrace is icing on the cake with all sorts of colourful flowers
Owner of the property is amiable and helpful.
He is amazing person, he is very helpful and friendly. I look forward to meet him again. And will surely want to stay at his place anytime I visit Guwahati.
The place is close to many restaurants and can find local commute easily.
Best place to stay in Guwahati.
Do try Uruka Restaurant for dinner/lunch.
The owner and caretaker have done a tremendous job in providing a quality service for hostel stay, specially for solo travellers in Guwahati.
There is a curated list of things to do, places to visit, restaurants/bars in Guwahati that Hostello has provided. There is also a small lawn to move around and chill.
Since Guwahati is the gateway to NE India, its a great place to make it a base as a solo traveller.
Owner and staff is very kind and helpful. The Owner helped me to find vet doc for my pet & also provided free food for my pet. Dinner lunch breakfast all are freshly cooked at home and also reasonable price. Owner also helped us to get Auto driver so that we could reach to railway station to board train on time. Wonderful experience, I recommend anyone visiting Guwahati must try this hotel homestay.
Exceptional service as well as facilities.... Staff personal (namely Aminul, Beniw, Raktim, Paresh as well as Lepika) are excellent..... Food quality is very good..... Next time onwards as and when I will be in Guwahati, I will be definitely at TREEBO TREND ARNA RESIDENCY HOTEL..... Best of luck and good wishes to the Management of TREEBO TREND ARNA RESIDENCY......
Clean, comfortable, multistory hotel in a neighborhood with food stalls with small shops, close to airport, 1.5 km to Decathlon (easy rickshaw or longish walk), room had nice balcony, neighborhood views, nearby ATM, rather quiet neighborhood! Slept well, good hot shower. Helpful, friendly staff. The go-to spot for airport stay in Guwahati for me and my friends.
Wonderful hotel and restaurant ambience, quality of food served at restaurant or in room dining is very good and one of the highlights, it’s a pity our stay at Guwahati wasn’t for a long time but we would definitely stay here if we come back to Guwahati in future..
This property is ok, but dinner last order time of 9.45 is harsh. Moreover, the room tariff are on higher side in comparison to other category hotels at Guwahati. Otherwise, staffs are cooperative & descent.
Probably the best value hotel I have stayed at in India. Large clean comfortable room and clean sheets. Right next to the airport. Had an excellent thukpa for dinner. The staff were friendly and helpful.
I liked the Location of the hotel. Its very near to Guwahati Airport, Just walkable distance. The breakfast they have given was also very nice and the food preparation also good.
The room was tudy and clean. The food served was tasty. The staff were courteous and soft spoken. We enjoyed our stay here at the hotel. It is good for family.
All the staff are very good and the rooms are very clean.I strongly recommend staying at the hotel parnil palace. I went with my family they like hotel also .
