Its a afantastic city if you have the time to just walk around and absorb the ambience. The people are very friendly once you get to know them.
You should definitely visit Miski bar next to Panjim Post office and try their Beef / Chicken cafreal sandwich as well as the prawn cafreal and do not leave the city without trying goa's local beer People's.
Also book a walking tour with Soul Travels and ask for Kunal or Bob. You will not be disappointed.

Loved the location in the Portuguese area, we spent three full days exploring the immediate area and nearby - all on foot - except a trip to Old Goa by local bus. We had simple lunches, usually samosas (the best we have ever tasted) and chai with dinner at local Fontainhas restaurants including our hotel.

As a woman, I felt very uncomfortable and unsafe with the men they allow inside the hotel - just sitting around men sitting around lobby staring. Even at dinner at the hotel, we had the same experience - with extremely cheap men sitting around and just staring at women like we were there for their entertainment.
The hotel also lies about cab services for guests, insisting that you only use cab services run by thugs - stationed outside the premises. They charge extremely high rates and are complete bullies. All you need to do is walk up the street to the high way and you can take far more reasonable cabs/ taxis - but the hotel doesnt even infrom you about this. Shows how much they value their customers and a basic level of customer service. Pathetic customer service by double tree by Hilton Panaji. Do not waste your time at this hotel.
First of all a 10/10 to Deric Sir, A very humble, friendly and amazing host. He has helped me get to know a few places which helped me plan out my days in Goa. The location is in the right spot which is the centre of Panjim, all the other places are very near to the location. The room and the stay was very peaceful, soothing like I feel at my own house. Very clean rooms and properly sanitized by following all the safety precautions. A 10/10 rating for the host and the place.!!! I will definitely book this spot again when I visit Goa.
Beautiful Portuguese property, right in the heart of Fontainhas. Lovely room with balcony overlooking a lovely street.
The property's owners were amazingly helpful, and helped us plan out our short time in Panaji -giving us an excellent restaurant recommendation - Bombil - which was one of our favourite restaurants we visited in India.
Lovely breakfast as well was included, and our forever helpful host organised our onward travel for us as well, taking in some time to stop in Old Goa as we went on to South Goa
THE FOOD IS GOOD no complains , LOCATION IS SUPERB , near the beach within walking distance , great . But sadly the room first offered was smelly with fungus on the wood work , but the staff very promptly gave me an alternative room which was good . Size of room , with balcony all good . CLeanliness was not upto the mark .
But during my next stay on 26th April , I was pleasantly surprised ... all was perfect. AND CLEAN for sure.
Will RE-visit and stay whenver in Goa for Work
It's a centrally located and spacious accommodation. The sitting area outside is a bonus. We loved having our morning tea there. The place is kept very clean. Our host, Deric was a super host. He went out of his way to ensure we had a comfortable stay. The breakfast arrangement in the adjacent restaurant is very convenient and the food was excellent.
It is by far the best property and value for money in Panaji, Goa.
We plan to book this property for our future visits
Absolutely enjoyed my stay at Doubletree Panaji branch in Goa. The hospitality from staffs beginning at the reception, to the dining hall and the managers too was exceptional. A special Thankyou to Kenny who made my birthday staycation an absolute pleasure. A big big heartfelt Thankyou to all the staffs and managers and wonderful cooks as well, you'll make the stay even more beautiful than the Mandovi River view! 🤗❤️ Wishing you'll success and many blessings 🙏❤️
Awesome staff, breakfast, location and room service is daily. Taxi is available on demand. Travel desk is available for last minute taxi arrangements. Central location to central Goa. We even walked to Casino Pride from the hotel. Amazing experience. Will book this hotel in future Goa planning as well . Please make the room fees little more feasible for the middle class family people. Thank you.
The hotel itself was bright, clean, and centrally located in the areas we were planning to visit. We decided to splurge for the Signature Suite rooms, to give us each space to spread out for a few days. The beds were comfortable and the balcony provided great sunset views and a distant view of the river/sea.
Had we not splurged, I would say this was an affordable option for the area.
The food, rest and peaceful stay.
The outdoor facilities like walk around, playing arena, the hotel lobby and the rooms with balcony.
The hotel is near to the center of Goa or say just 5 to 10 minutes drive to Entertainments like Cadino, Beach or Panjim Bus stand and the availability of Taxi from the hotels is a convenience.
Fist of all - they gave me an upgrade to a suite which was a bonus and I loved the room. The ambience of the suite was amazing and so were the amenities inside it. The staff was very polite and professional. I was in Goa for 3 nights and 4 days and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at Vivanta.
The staff were very nice and cooperative.
The location is excellent.
The owner Mr Sunil Amonkar was very helpful and attended to our needs personally. Very cheerful man.
I would definitely chose this hotel on my next visit to Goa.
The hotel is well located, close to the beach with an amazing view.
The bedroom was spacious and clean.
The breakfast was very good, they had a variety of options and the staff was very helpful at all times.
The room was great, though it was small in size, we had a seaside rooms. The breakfast was awesome with some live music by goan musicians, who were going around the tables and singing.
Breakfast was excellent. Service staff at reception and breakfast were excellent and very attentive. Overall a GREAT experience. Looking forward to visiting Cidad De Goa again.
Very clean and friendly staff. Especially the Guys on reception is very helpful. Thank you. It's hard to find a good hotel with this facility in north goa for this price.
There was no hot water all the days bed was small cleanliness hopeless very very bad I repent for paying so much for such a stay. My most uncomfortable stay in goa
