Beautiful city and amazing to see the British side of things. 2-3 days is max to stay in Shimla. Lots of places to choose from to eat and drink. Beware of the monkeys on the street specially if you are holding food. The train track and the Viceregal lodge was my favourite and being a Christian the two church was beautiful to see and still being used.

We were quite shocked at how busy Shimla has become and how polluted the atmosphere is now compared to 27 years ago. The Himalayas were barely visible and had very little snow which for December we thought was unusual
It’s still a beautiful part of India but perhaps December isn’t the best time to visit as they have a winter festival which attracts people from all over India hoping for snow …..there was none.
We found lots of excellent places to eat where you could enjoy some fabulous sunsets
We climbed to monkey temple taking one of the old routes which was very picturesque and we avoided the crowds
The Viceroys Palace was a bit of a disappointment as there was a 4 hour wait for a guided tour Thankfully we’d asked our driver to wait for us so we enjoyed a walk round the gardens but didn’t wait to go inside
You can see plenty of monkeys but need to be very vigilant as they were steal from you many people were getting to close and having their phones snatched. There is a large population of stray dogs which was new to us. They are in good condition and fed by the local residents who encourage the dogs as they keep the monkeys away

Very beautiful HIll Station. People are very good.
Very beautiful HIll Station. People are very good. Food is awesome. Cold is just perfect for people from West and South India. A bit crowded during weekends, parking is an issue. Use lifts where ever available as we are not used to climbing uphills and walkign so much when coming from other regions. Wear good shoes as there is lot of walking. Jhaku Temple rope way is approx 500 per person for two ways ride. Mall road is expensive but stuff is good. Kufri and Mashobra are amazing too.
Cleaning.parking. service.co operation.mountain view and wifi .I have great experience at hanu vatika shimla. One of the best property to stay with family. Highly Recommend to take guidance from Anand Sharma Host of the property.
Family suit (2HK with balcony) is the best accommodation for family. We have feel like a home away from the home. Thanks hanu vatika to make our trip Awesome. Mall road is 10minute walking from hotel . Memorable Moments for us .
Thanks Hanu vatika
Thanks host.

For The tour guide and cab facility
As a visitor from Vadodara, Gujarat, my stay with family at JK Villa Shimla The Pine Valley was wonderful. The villa offers stunning mountain views from the balcony, making mornings exceptionally beautiful. It’s conveniently located just 15 minutes from Mall Road, which was perfect for shopping and dining. The hospitality was excellent, the rooms were clean, and the well-equipped kitchen was a great bonus. Highly recommend for a peaceful and scenic stay in Shimla!
View from room was amazing.Just stunning.Highly recommend to people who want peace and want to enjoy view.Staff was polite and very cooperative. .I preferred to eat at hotel instead of out side as food was delicious with quick service as well as hygienic.Little away from city but i like location as on national highway and kufri is just 12 km and mall road is six km.With this budget it might be best hotel in shimla as I am frequently visit this city
The hotel was very good, the view from the hotel was awesome, all staff are good in nature. around 1-1.5km walk from hotel to mall road. But You can take bus from hotel to Lift , it take just 5 min in bus then from lift to mall road. And if you want to explore kufri, naldehra then hotel staff can arrange the cab for you. Overall nice stay and nice view from hotel. I like it
The view was excellent from the room as snow carpets laying on the roofs of the houses.....Room shower was amazing (geyser is working excellent)...There is no shortage of Hot water .....The other thing is that it's on the mall road near kalibari temple (good connectivity with mall road) and Whenever there is chance of snowfall than you can enjoy enormously there☃️
Very good Hotel with private parking facilities and the top floor is right on the Mall road. This is not so common in Shimla. However, you got to walk for some good 15-20 mins uphill to reach the attractions like Scandal Point, Ridge, etc.,. Rooms offer a good view of the valleys, have centralized AC, prompt service. The food menu is not so expensive.
Food, hospitality, cleanliness, hygiene, room service, etc. It's 3 to 4 km away from mall road but they provide drop and pick up facility from mall road. Also they will pick you up from Railway Station / bus station. Owner's name is Raj Sharma and he will behave like your family member and will be with you from the beginning of your trip till end.
First thing which strikes you is the location which is bang in the start of Mall Road in Shimla. You can just step out any time in the day and just soak in the Mall Road vibes.
I would surely recommend checking this hotel out for your stay in Shimla even though I felt it is a tad expensive for the experience.
Staff was very warm and soft spoken, room service was a delight, breakfast buffet was great but the al carte menu for dinner had limited choices and the chicken biryani ordered was really disappointing and bland and damn expensive too.
location is at one end of shimla around 25 mins walk to mall road
Property is at a good location amidst nature, slightly out of Shimla (20-30 min from Mall Road) , so you can have a relaxing vacation. All the staff I met in the hotel were very courteous, food is also delicious . All the facilities like swimming pool, spa, kids area, restaurants are well maintained
It's situated right on the Mall road in centre of the main area. The rooms are well heated and there is 24*7 hot water. It had a good view of the city. The nearby Shimla Times cafe has pretty good food and very lively atmosphere. Krishna at front desk was very helpful and made our stay better.
It was 2bhk complete house for us. Location was 6 km far from mall road. It waa told earlier to us. We reached in evening. Host mother prepared nice dinner for us. Rate were reasonable. Place was clean. Blanket and Quilt were clean and sufficient
It is a nice hotel if you are planning for your stay in Shimla. Close to
Mall Road. We got a room with mountain view and nice decor. Well maintained, neat and clean room with attached bathroom and free
Wi-fi. Overall it was a nice experience.
on Shimla Mall Road is a gem of a hotel that impressed me in every aspect. The location, nestled on Mall Road, offers breathtaking views and easy access to Shimla's vibrant atmosphere. …
There was nothing which can be liked. Highly over rated given by booking.com to this hotel. Location is very dark and unsafe for family. Very far from main shimla mall road.
