Gera Lario is a small village a bit removed from some of the busier tourist areas of Lake Como. Although you could swim anywhere along the lakeside, there is no comfortable swimming beach for families. The village has only a few restaurants and no significant grocery shops. Luckily there are other bigger villages nearby.

Small quiet town, nice harbour with great views of lake como and mountains. Lots of water sports and biking and a couple of great restaurants. And easy accessible to more touristy parts of the lake and also for a drive into Switzerland.

We loved the house, the garden, the location and especially the care with which Roberta and Alessio look after their house and surroundings. We would love to come back again to this amazing spot filled with ‘love’! The beach is at walking distance, the best pizza place of the lake is around the corner (Pizzeria Spluga). But the outdoor dining area kept us home most of the time as well 😜

Albergo Lario is in a quiet area of Lake Como. The hotel itself is fabulous with a great breakfast. The room was a perfect size for my family. Ben is the ultimate host! He helped us arrange for a private boat tour that picked us up at dock just behind the hotel. The restaurant was closed for renovations while we were there, so that was a bummer, but not a big deal as there were other options within walking distance and Ben was on hand to offer recommendations.

The flat is located in Gera Lario 3min from the shore of lake Como. It was great that the kitchen is very well quipedded, sleeping room stays cold during day and at night quiet, perfect to rest & sleep, as it's not directly at the main street of Lario. Whole flat was clean. There are a couple of bars and restaurants nearby in walking distance. The flat owner Andrea & Marina are very friendly and if necassery help any time. Grazie mille!

Great location especially for anyone on a driving holiday. Nice Marina on your doorstep. Easy access to both sides of lake como if wishing to explore whole lake, stunning scenery on route wherever you go. Recommend visiting ‘Balcony of Italy’ which is just over an hours drive from the hotel. Great staff and a very friendly and helpful owner in Ben. Lovely breakfast and pizza’s in the evening.

The apartment is bigger than the pictures make it appear. It has an amazing view of Lake Como. The kitchen was well-equipped for self-catering. The beds were very comfortable. It is only a short walk down to the lakeside, so it is easy to walk on the promenade. Gera Lario is a quieter part of Lake Como, and therefore there were not as many tourists, making it more relaxing.

Ben was very kind to wait for us past midnight as we were late with the check-in, and was very friendly and helpful at all times. The hotel is located at a short walking distance from a beautiful promenade along the lake. Free parking right in front of the hotel (and plenty of paid parking very close as well).

Very friendly and helpful staff. Really nice food in hotel's restaurant. Location is amazing for hiking lovers. A lot of really nice trails. I've seen many cyclists as well. I recommend take a walk to San Miro. Town is small but charming. And you have bus stops really close to the hotel.
