We stayed here because we read reviews of the crowds not being as heavy as other towns, and it's true! Bellano has a more "local" feel and much less crowded, but still busy on the weekend. Fabulous property and host!
Fabulous property and host! Giovanni went above and beyond to welcome us and answer any questions or concerns, both before our arrival and during our stay. The views of the lake are just stunning and we loved sitting out on our own private terrace with a glass of wine enjoying our surroundings. The location is quiet and secluded, but walkable to town, the ferry, and the train station. We were able rent a boat right in the town and enjoyed exploring the lake on our own. Beautiful Orrido and Cascata are two "must visits" in Bellano for ones loving nature. The SS36 motorway nearby makes your travel with car very easy alongside the whole Eastern part of the lake, meanwhile the rest of the roads along the lake can be full of traffic jams. This to be considered if you chose your location to sleep during the night but travel to explore different venues during the day.CsanádHungary - 10Scored 10

We would highly recommend staying in Bellano. It was convenient to other villages on the lake and we could be away from the crowds. It was a charming town with great restaurants. The ferry service was most convenient to Bellano. We were able to travel around the lake easily and looked forward to coming back to our bit of paradise in Bellano!Festa - 10Scored 10
Our group really liked Bellano.
Our group really liked Bellano. We were looking for a smaller town that was not over-commercialized or overrun with tourists, but not so small that there was nothing to do and the dining options were limited. In Bellano we found nice restaurants & we were particularly fond of the places adjacent to the water where we could dine and watch the lake traffic. The ferry schedule was a bit confusing but we figured it out spent some time on the water as well. In all, Bellano was what we were looking for and we were very happy with our choice. You have a choice of traveling by train or ferry as both stations are within walking distance from the hotel. Our room was clean and had a stunning lake view from our private balcony. The on-site restaurant serves good food with a pretty view. The staff were so kind and helpful, especially Samuel at the front desk. We had some difficulty getting to the hotel and he provided excellent communication all throughout.

The host was also very welcoming, helpful, and easy to reach (we used the chat in bookings). Note that if you're exploring the lake, we found that Bellano makes a perfect base, as it's close to everything but out of the way, so it's not too busy. Also, Bellano itself has a very nice charm that makes it quite endearing. Be sure to check out the Pasticceria Lorla for great croissants - just a block away!

Mr. Enzo was an exceptional host who made sure his guests have everything they need (and, if you don’t feel like walking - he might just come pick you up!) The view was lovely. after traveling in Italy for 4 weeks - this was the reprieve I needed. the little pool was perfect after a long day too - doesn’t seem like much until you get in it! There was a landslide which meant we couldn't get the train as planned to Bellano and had to get a bus for part of it and Jessica helped us with information with taxi numbers etc. So we would definitely be able to get there. Great staff. We had food both nights in the hotel in was delicious. The rooms were spacious and clean. And breakfast had a great choice to choose from.

Ivana was an excellent host and had great communication, making the self check in process really easy. The apartment was well stocked with anything you’d need including washing machine, toiletries and a fully stocked kitchen if you wanted to make food. Owners of this family-run boutique hotel are quite nice people. Rooms are comfortable and clean. There is free wifi in the rooms. Breakfast is very rich and delicious, and it is very pleasent as well with the nice view. There are free parking spots available at the hotel and in front of it. I will definitely stay here if I visit Bellano again.
