Located a quarter mile from the Rialto Bridge, the Mignon is an intimate hotel in Venice’s Cannaregio quarter.
Score from 589 reviews Very good
The staff were all very helpful. The location was great, off the beaten track, but only 10 mins walk from Rialto Bridge. The apartment had a nice authentic feel, and breakfast was a lovely experience with plenty to eat, hot and cold.
Our room was in the attic, so the ceiling was low on one side of the bed, but nothing we couldn't cope with.
Well furnished appartment / near to Rialto Bridge
I loved our cozy room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good.
Location and breakfast are excellent. You can walk to all the main sights within 5-10 mins
Carrying heavy bags up stairs to the third floor, was fine for us, but would be difficult for older/ fragile people
Excellent location Nice Venetian atmosphere
The door key got stuck and we had to spend five minutes each time we were trying to unlock the door. Out of the three rooms in Elena apartment one had no mirror, and only nightlamps working.
friendly staff family run? relaxed atmosphere in hotel Great location quiet and off main roads but central and easy to find near good cafes quiet for sleeping
Staff very friendly, nice welcome drink after we arrived
bit expensive but nice hotel
Air Conditioning was very good.
wifi worthless. Water off for four hours, no offer of discount.
in the ad (in swedish) for this apartment on booking.com it said it had "bubbelbad" (which is bath tub with bubbels). When arriving it showed it in fact not have this. That was a big disappointment, especially for the children.
Hostess came to meet us Family owned and operated Great breakfast
80 yr old mother had to climb many stairs
Room was spacious.
The air conditioning was broke and the room was very hot. The reservation said the room had a washer which was stuffed in a closet and things piled on top. It did not appear to be in working order. Our room was full of Mosquitos and we were bitten all night. To compensate for things not being right they gave us €6.00 off. Not nearly enough considering the problems. We still paid a lot of money.
Location was quiet residential but only 10mins to the Rialto. Rooms were comfortable and well maintained. Breakfast was fine. Hotel gave good directions to find it. Overall a very comfortable stay at a good price, particularly for Venice.
We were in room 2 where the bathroom has been fitted in under stairs. This meant a man could not stand up at the toilet, for example, because of limited head room. Not a big issue for us as only stayed 2 nights but you may wish to choose a different room.
ac was not working and nor was the hot water
Lovely location, nice clean room with good air con. Nice breakfast.
Charming room, very clean. Welcoming and helpful staff.
Difficult access to transport however this was due to the unique canals of Venice. Hard to get to airport water ferry.
Only 5 minutes from the Rialto Bridge, fantastic restaurant only 2 minutes away, really good breakfast with lots of choice.
The breakfast room was too hot, I didn't love the room ,it didn't look like the pictures on here and it was fairly small.
Location was good. Staff was very friendly and helping. Arrangement for checkin were good with detailed description of the instructions to reach the reception. We took apartment which was on first floor so not a problem.
Sofa bed was not very comfortable and there was noise from the springs when changing side while sleeping which was very irritating. The reception was on 2nd floor so in case you check out early to leave the baggage it is a pain. Rest was all good.
The picture is not a picture from the place we stayed in. Where we were, the view from the terrace was amazing, and we ate breakfast out there every day. The location was fairly central to everything we wanted to see. The whole city was quiet, as there are no cars!
We didn't stay at the place we booked in originally, as it was being renovated. We didn't find this out until we were standing outside the door of the originally booked place. An email was sent, but we were on our way to Venice, so I never got it until after the fact. It was good there was a young man to take us to the new location, as there were 73 stairs to climb to the apartment! He was terrific in helping with luggage. Other than that, we had no other contact with staff. The mattress I slept on wasn't very comfortable, but other than that, things were pretty good.
Amazing hotel. It's so closer with the most important places in Venice. The personal are very proffesional, they helped me in everything. The breakfast was so nice. I really recommend this hotel.
The room was not ready at the check-in time. They asked us to come back at 1 pm, we came back at 1.30 pm and we had to wait for the responsible person because she was not in the Hotel, after 30 minutes more, she showed us to the apartment. The apartment was not as clean as expected and one day some people performed maintenance in the first floor without any announcement. The entrance was dirty and the room was in the 3rd floor instead of 2nd floor as was booked, it was very difficult to going up and down our luggage.
Good breakfast,comfortable bed
Up two long fligts of stairs, staff did not answer phone during the day. When friends called, not to helpful with directions, no staff at night. Not worth the price.
Good location based on the north side of Venice and 5 minutes walk to the boat taxis. The hotel and room was nice and clean and had some impressives antiques on display. Breakfast was ok...croissants, cold meats, cereals, juice, tea and coffee.
Our room didn't look anything like the one on the web-site. We was expecting quite a grand room but it was quite small.
Ony one bridge to negotiate with suitcases. Directions to find the hotel were very accurate. Clean room. Comfortable bed. Staff were polite, helpful and accommodating although not engaging.
Wifi coverage was not good (Rm8). 2 out of 3 of my devices connected. 32 digit random passcode becomes very tiresome to re-enter when your android mobile will not connect.
The location was away from the hordes of tourists in a nice part of Cannaregio. The breakfast was very good.
The stairs, though only to be expected in an old building in beautiful Venice!
good Wi-Fi connection, rather good breakfast for Italy, not far from center, comfortable bathroom, after renovation, available mini bar.
