It was an absolutely lovely apartment! It is located a bit more uphill instead of right at the beach of the lake, but getting to the lake took only a walk of about 10 minutes! (Uphill is steep though, so keep that in mind)
The host was very friendly and very welcoming. He was even so nice as to print out all available ferries and their departing times, as well as the nicest places to visit around the lake. He also lets you know through Whatsapp which trash bags you should take out on which days, very helpful! The apartment is of the smaller kind, but it has everything you need, and most of all: IT HAS AIRCO. THANK THE GODS. Because you're gonna need it if you visit during summer. I would happily return if I ever visit again!

Location is perfect, I love the town. It was a good choice to go for this location instead of the more crowed side of the lake. The apartment was very well equipped, has everything you need and sharp clean. + has a great view.

I recently stayed at this apartment and was thoroughly impressed. The place is even more beautiful in person, with a truly astonishing view. Public transport is easily accessible from the location, making commuting a breeze. The apartment was clean and surprisingly more spacious than the photos indicated. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great stay!

Wonderful area of the lake that has a less touristic feel and is less busy than the other areas we visited. Many places to swim, including a larger “beach” with bar that serves takeaway drinks to enjoy near the water. Local cafes and restaurants and easy train and ferry access to other parts of the lake. Lierna itself was more authentic & less touristic than other towns around the lake but was a perfect spot for day trips by ferry around the lake - or a quick 10 minute drive up the road to Varenna. There was a good little supermarket in the village - with a friendly lady who spoke English - though the big Iperal supermarket at Mandello was only 10 minutes drive away. There were a number of restaurants in town & we had a great meal at Sottovento which was clearly very popular with the locals.CarolineBelgium - 10Scored 10

Lierna is beautiful.
Lierna is beautiful. There isn't much going on - there are a few excellent places to eat, a bar or two and a beautiful beach affording one of the best views on Lake Como - but it is simply stunning, especially in the spring/early summer sunshine, and a few days here can't fail to relax you!

There is also a lovely restaurant Sottovento with views of the lake. Varenna is an easy 20 minute train from Lierna & Bellagio is 20 mins by ferry. Laura made us a lovely breakfast each morning with prosciutto, juice, pastries & scrambled eggs. We got tons and tons of travel recommendations from Marco - where to go, how to get there, what is the absolute best to see and try. It takes 15 to 20 minutes walks from the train station to reach the hotel. So if you are not a big fan of walks, please consider this fact. We, however, enjoyed this little walks in the evening after the dinner.

The location is beautiful: a quiet part of the lake with direct access to the water from the jetty. It’s a short walk along the road (which didn’t bother us noise wise) to Lierna which is a small town. We hire a boat from here. 10 minute drive south to a good supermarket and 10 minute drive north to beautiful town of Varenna and ferry to Bellagio.
