A very clean and very well appointed property, small but well designed. A lot of thoughtful attention to detail and provision of supplies. We were able to prepare and heat a meal in our apartment. It was lovely to meet our host and to be greeted so warmly by their dog Juna. Able to sit outside in the garden. Our bicycles were secure within the locked gates of the property.
On average, it costs $148 per night to book a 3-star hotel in Porlezza for tonight. You'll pay around $320 if you choose to stay in a 4-star hotel tonight, while a 5-star hotel in Porlezza will cost around $5,259, on average (based on Booking.com prices).
Porlezza was a quiet and very relaxing place to stay.
Porlezza was a quiet and very relaxing place to stay. We enjoyed shopping at the local butchers and grocery stores as we cook a lot. The city is very easy to navigate and has a beautiful lakeside location. The locals were quite helpful and mostly friendly.

...a bit of a gem...friendly, peaceful, not over-priced and the scenery is awe inspiring. We left the opposite route against the wishes of google maps. This (left of lake) exit affords a good mountain route but the driver must concentrate on the road...nice route though....which also leads to the highways etc

A rather smallish town by a beautiful and clean/warm enough for swimming Lake Lugano. City center is small but nice, typical old Italian village atmosphere, not much to see in the town itself but very relaxing environment. A small amusement park, Luna Park, is open there June-July, nice for small kids and reasonably priced. Great supermarket (Carrefour), open from 6 AM-midnight every day is near the town centre. The large camping sites in the area are great for meeting other people for all over Europe, mostly families and older people. Lots of nearby towns and cities, reachable by car but beware of crazy mountain roads with hairpins and narrow village streets, that can be very slow to drive in places (but, of course very scenic and beautiful!).
The manager Pablo( or owner)?? was an absolute pleasure! He was helpful and had lots of good advice and suggestions regarding what to do in his small town. The location of the hotel is ideal as well…. if you want to stay in this town! Naively we had expected it to be a little more convenient to get to. The room itself was lovely with a fabulous little balcony overlooking the lake.
The location and setting of this hotel is amazing. We had a patio area looking towards the beautiful hill. It was quiet and privat. There was a garden area for all guests with a small swimming pool looking out towards the lake and an outdoor shower and sun bathing area. Very beautiful. I recommend checking with the property directly about the quality of beds.
Reception: Very welcoming guys at the restaurant.
Room: Old style spacious room.
Room View: Most beautiful view with mountains, lake and boats at the shore. Enjoyed full moon at midnight.
Breakfast: Paid.
Bathtub: No.
Parking: Paid.
Nearby: Coop and restaurants nearby.
On Saturdays, there is local market on the front road, had fun there.
Quiet neighbourhood, really close to the lake waterline. House was big enough and very well equipped. There were also bbq set and sunbeds. Also really good restaurant nearby with really friendly people and prices. Nearest market is 1,5 km away. Parkplace is directly near the house. Wouldn't change anything.
Rooms were nice and new with a view of the lake from the window. The breakfast was good. The lady that runs the hotel is very nice and made sure we were comfortable!
We chose this place as a cheaper alternative to staying in Lugano and ended up liking it more. Will definitely be back to stay again!
The chalet is decent size with parking space big enough to accommodate a big car.
The chalet is well equipped. Everything we needed was present.
Chalet is a few meters from the lake so its convenient to carry gear to the lake.
Lake is clean and accessible.
Shops inside the village are decent.
Lovely river outside our room which was nice to listen to all night. The hotel is filled with the owners art work which is fantastic.
Nice location within walking distance to restaurants.
The elevator didn’t work and there were quite a few steps involved. The owner helped with bags.
The location of the hotel is really nice. Most of the villas has a great view of Lake Lugano. More than enough private parking spaces. There are a lot of very good restaurants nearby (within 10 mins walk). Couple of suggestions are Il Pinguino (dal 1978) and Trattoria della Vigna.
We loved pretty much everything about this hotel. The location was perfect, with a private, not crowded beach in Lugano Lake, two swimming pools that were perfectly clean and well-prepared for the guests, and great service and food. I think it was also great value for money
The location was spectacular. Fantastic breakfast with lots of great lunch/dinner options. There are daily organized tours (generally by boat) to various attractions.
What really sets this hotel apart is the incredible service and staff led by Roberto!
Nice view, lovely town center nearby. At sorounding hills great panoramic views. Uncrowded, total oposite of lake Como. Receptionist was very friendly giving all helpful information. Laundry selfservice nearby. On saturdays large market.
The location and views were lovely. It’s a quiet city and you can reach bigger locations around Como easily. Room and bathroom were quite modern and in good shape. Parking was easy. Staff were kind and helpful.
If you want to experience the real Italy and and enjoy a great view then this is it! Very quiet area; great location to start a hike; owner super friendly.
Everything was as described and as expected.
The hotel has beautiful views of Lake Lugano. The facilities in the hotel were great. We enjoyed the family spa and beach very much. The hotel also has several restaurants you choose from.
beautiful view and patio, easy parking, the house was so nicely done with all great furniture, furnishings and comfortable shower, bed, sofa and kitchen!
